[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in awe of the picture quality this TV provides. The colors are so bright and vivid. The picture is clear, and crisp and truly gives a unique experience. It almost feels real with the way the pictures move and how you can see all of the little details down to fine lines. I love how the brightness adjusts automatically to give the best picture quality even in the daytime. The solar remote lasts forever as far as power goes and connection to smart things via my Samsung phone was seamless. There are SO many different apps and options that I haven't even gone through half yet. I am utterly amazed at how well this TV is set up. I hope to be able to get a larger version soon.

Stay away from this TV, and Samsung period. The warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. I have had repair men to my house 4 times to fix an issue that is still not fixed. The latest is that the part is on backorder with no ETA. We are notified of this 60 minutes before they were due to arrive. Remember each visit requires you unmounting and remounting this TV. Samsung's response is "just wait". We bought 4 of these in our family. 3 of 4 have needed to be repaired and 2 have required multiple repairs. As someone who was all Samsung (TV, surround, washer, dryer, refrigerator) and completely invested in the Smart Things connectivity, I regret purchasing all of them.

Absolutely love the Q80D. The QLED display is incredibly bright, and the AI upscaling really makes a noticeable difference in picture quality. It handles fast-motion sports and gaming perfectly with the 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung really nailed it with this one, smart features, great connectivity, and top-tier visuals.

I have been so disappointed with this TV. I am glad that I purchased the VIP warranty. Had to replace the main panel twice already in less then a year. It still has a difficult time rendering dark shadows. Watching darker shows like Wednesday or Black Rabbit is nearly impossible.

Tôi đã mua dòng sản phẩm này tháng 1/2022. Đến nay là tháng 7/2024 thì tự nhiên hỏng màn hình. Kỹ thuật của hãng đến kiểm tra báo giá thay màn (không thể sửa chữa) hơn 7tr mà xong chỉ bảo hành màn 3 tháng. Thực sự rất thất vọng với chất lượng và dịch vụ của hãng.

I bought this bad boy for the center of my man cave and I couldn't be happier. It's perfect; paired with the smart things app I control my TV, lights and soundbar on schedule. There's so much functionality such as the ambient setting and the AI custom backgrounds. It's exactly what I wanted.

The picture is incredible and set up was a breeze. I chose to set up by my phone and it was a simple and smooth process. I am very impressed by features that I didn't think I would care about. Most notably, Multi View. It is actually useful and not just gimmicky. I will definitely recommend this TV to friends and family the next time I'm asked for a recommendation! (If I discover any issues or annoyances - none so far - I will update this review.)

Having had a number of and owning Samsung products including TV’s, we decided our ten year old 49” Samsung tv was due a replacement. After umpteen reviews of Samsung and other brands of tv we opted for the 2024 55” Samsung 55 QLED QL80 D 4K SMART TV. Early days, but once we passed (finally) the Samsung set up, the tv is absolutely Superb! So many apps, options and much more but for us it was the amazing screen clarity and brilliant colours that have pleasantly surprised us. Nature and wild life programs are truly lifelike, so much so we feel we are there (we wish)!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is literally one of the best TVs I've ever owned. The picture is so sharp and clear that it's such a pleasure to watch my favorite shows. The TV was easy to set up. I love the base on this TV because it's very heavy-duty flat metal instead of little plastic legs. Once you put the base on, you can set the TV up where you want it and it's very sturdy. I was able to easily set up an account with Samsung and then get all my previous apps that I have and use. The setup really was super simple, one of the easiest I've had when setting up a TV. There's just so much you can do with this TV and you have access to a lot of programs and movies with this TV. The functions that you can set up on this TV are superior. You can do voice activation, if you need help with seeing different apps or applications you can actually have a voice guide set up that will tell you what you're doing at all times, you can hook this up to Alexa, and the list is just extensive of all the wonderful features on this television. I absolutely love that you can play games and do not need a console. You can access the internet. This is just so much more than your standard TV. We put it in our bedroom and love to watch TV at night or play games. It has plenty of ports for you to attach digital devices that you want to use like game controllers or you can do them wireless like we did. Overall I would say this TV is exceptional and I don't think anyone would be disappointed.

We’ve had our Samsung 55” Q80D for about 2 months now. I can confidently say it’s the best TV our family’s ever owned and it was a great value. The screen has fantastic brightness and it’s view is excellent in the south facing livingroom. The picture has fantastic contrast, well matched colour and smooth motion (120 hz refresh) during more intense action scenes. There’s many AI intelligent options that made set up a breeze. The sound is 40W (twice the power of its peers) which is a perfect match for a 3 soeaker soundbar. The sound quality is clear, accurate and rich to my ears. Overall for the money this was a 10/10 purchase!

This TV is OK, for display purposes. It has acceptable color. The sound emanating from the speakers is also nice. For the price point comparative to other Smart TVs, it is a horrible SmartTV. The UI is absolutely horrible. It comes loaded with bloatware and the internal storage is non-expandable and even with ALL the junk and preinstalled apps offloaded, it only has ~2GB of free space for your apps. Further, the UI for TizenOS is just one giant big ad screen. The amount of remote presses it takes to get anywhere USEFUL like a settings menu, your apps, is in the middle of a bunch of big advertisements. The TV wants you to be connected to Wi-Fi at all times. If you disconnect Wi-Fi, it will sometimes automatically re-connect on reboot. A LOT of features are disabled when you do not have it connected to Wi-Fi. Also, the screen dims intermittently even with intelligent features disabled. This is an example of a mid-range TV that is absolutely ruined by it's operating system and telemetry. All the applications built for Tizen are slow and unresponsive. The TV has significant input lag, and it not fast or streamlined at all. There is no dedicated input button on the samsung remote. Look at all the reviews for this TV, they are almost all sponsored or rewarded reviews. That's how badly Samsung needs to manipulate the data to sell this TV. Stay away at all costs. This is not worth the price whatsoever. I will be returning this TV, and will never buy another Samsung product or appliance ever again.

This tv is without a doubt an SUPERB piece of kit! We are big fans of Samsung and have had numerous products in our household for many years without any issues. Our ten year old Samsung tv was looking a little sad so we decided to splash out on this little beauty as a Christmas gift to us both. Fabulous picture and sound, looks great in our front room, our only gripe ( and to be honest at 77 years young it could well be me and my lack of techno knowledge) but for the life of me I cannot get ANY freeview/ terrestial channels at all?. However, I have made contact with Samsung and am awaiting their support. Overall, we are extremely happy with our new tv.

The only challenge I have is that the remote control controlling other samsung tvs in the house. I currently have 4 samsung tvs and turning on or off sometimes affect the other tvs not in use or being used in another room in the house. I wish each remote is customized to each product. The clarity makes you feel as if you're a part of the cast of your favorite shows. Since i have a Samsung phone, set up was super easy. All my apps were sticky installed and digging into my streaming services was very easy. The live TV is reminiscent of tubi or Pluto tv amc you don't have to access the apps to get to your favorite binge channel. 10 out of 10 for this tv. My only regret is not getting a bigger size. 😆

I had an accident plugging in a ambience USB led light which shorted out the TV. My new TV's picture is stunning. The remote control is difficult to operate. It uses pictures instead of words explaining the function. I get confused and have difficulty getting out of the menu. But I do love my television .

Very good screen details, easy to use. The only thing I don't like is that when the electric power or the Internet goes off it don't automatically reconnect to the wifi. Not good when the tv it's connected to smartthings and the automations don't work because the wifi didn't reconnect. As far as the rest of the tv settings it takes practice to get the best screen view. Excellent TV

I purchased an Samsung 85D TV just before the superbowl. I love the picture and sound on this TV. I had the Geek Squad and measure my stair case/landing to see if I could get an 100 inch but had to settle for 85 inch. The guys pointed me to which TV to purchase and the correct size bracket to hang it on the wall. Have not put the cables in their conduits yet.

I have had this TV for about 6 months ago and I am completely satisfied with it. The on-time-to-menu selection-time is less than a second. The apps I use are available and easy to access. Picture clarity and viewing angles are great. Immensely better than the Samsung Crystal line. It costs more than the Crystal, but is worth it. Bluetooth remote is more convenient that a typical IR remote. My only real "constructive criticism" would be to have the pre-programmed buttons to be programmable. I'm not sure if the companies pay Samsung for that, but there are 3 rarely use and 2 of those, never.

I bought this to replace my previous TV. I bought the Samsung 50" Class - Q80D Series for the 4K and smart features. I also bought a Samsung sound bar for it. The sound is awesome! The best feature by far is being able to stream a show or movie from the PC to the TV via wifi. No complaints to date..... a great combo!

Great Tv for PlayStation 5 in 120fps and the resolution , decent processor mixed reviews on that. I do find it laggy in its own interface and apps. Excellent connectivity with a lot of options for 120fps/60 etc - Over all 4 stars. I have had a lot of Samsung tvs so I am being critical. Thanks!

The Q80D is a Great TV. The 50" is only 60Hz Refresh Rate if you want 120Hz I would go 55" or larger. The picture is great. The first thing I would do is turn off intelligent mode for better picture control. Remote is easy to use and charge. I have been using this TV for a month and it is the best that I have ever had. It does have a few downsides. The home screen looks nice however even in 2024 the Tizen OS still feels sluggish to me. Speakers are great for a TV this size but if used in a large room, I would suggest a soundbar or Sound System setup as well. Overall I love the TV.

The picture is clear and I love the smart TV features but what I mostly love is the bluetooth feature that enables my husband to listen to sports in the morning with his airpods in while I sip my coffee in peace ! Please the women of the world need this information!

After years of getting either a movie OR a gaming TV, I bit the bullet and went with a main gaming TV. This TV does not disappoint, loads of option with a console (xbox series X in my case) it was really easy to set up, 95% automatic but a small bit of tweaking if thats your thing. As for the TV/Movie side? I must say I can't see an failings, my old Samsung Curve had problems with both TV and gaming, tweaking was needed when switching between but this seems spot on. No faffing. Great TV, great price, I was never going to be able to justify an S90C but this easily does the job.

It's a great tv, good sound and picture. Am still learning how to use all the different programming. The thing I am having an issue with is that I cannot find a way to download Chrome so I can use my dishanywhere app. It keeps telling now I need to download either Chrome or Saffari, but no links are given on how to get there and no directions supplied on how to this. Am not exactly a techie, so it would be nice to have something to go by instead of trying to figure it out myself. I have successfully downloaded Chrome on all my computers, but somehow, with this tv, no go.

The motherboard failed shortly after one year of use, just as the warranty period ended. For a premium television, this kind of critical hardware failure is unacceptable and extremely disappointing. A product at this price point is expected to last far longer without major issues. The repair cost is high, and post-warranty support offers little assistance, leaving the customer to bear the full expense. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Samsung QLED TVs and advise potential buyers to consider alternatives with stronger reliability and after-sales support.

Rating this 5 out of 5 because overall I'm extremely happy. 1. I bought a phone (S24 Ultra = AWESOME) and was entered into a raffle I didn't know was happening. 2. This wasn't the only thing I won. 3. The newest, nicest tv I had owned was a Samsung 2020 Series 4 (M4500) and wasn't terribly impressed with it. Smart features were unsatisfactory. TV was very slow and bogged down with all kinds of bloatware. By the way, Samsung has recently updated their smart features on the M4500 and my opinion was slowly changing for the better just before this windfall. Aside from initial dissatisfaction with smart features on the M4500, screen glare was another complaint I had. The Q80D takes care of ALL my complaints. Fast, no bloatware, even Samsung TV+ is appealing some of the time. Picture is phenomenal, especially with AI customization and Intelligent mode. Enough ports for me in back that I don't need an adapter to add more. I was using Roku for everything streaming, I use it only for sound now. Sound quality on the Q80D could be better would be the only thing I could say about my new free TV. The only thing that is better than this TV is the smart gaming monitor that I also won. I have to say that's my new favorite.

This is the 2nd QLED 4K TV I've owned and by far, really really far, this technology surpasses all other brands and models out there. Although on the pricer side of compared TVs across the board, you get exactly what you pay for. If you are like me, having everything centralized makes life so much more easier and sweeter. I am a forever Samsung owner and wouldn't have it any other way. The features of this TV are out amazing. You can see all of the details when viewing anything. From facial wrinkles to object sound tracking, gives me the experience as if I were right there on set with them or in the movies. I've compared this model to others and no other non-Samsung model can come close to what this model can deliver. I would go bigger on the size if I were to upgrade, but keep the same model. Going with this model was the best choice I made and am very very satisfied with my decision. I recommend everyone give it a try, because once you have that experience you'll settle for nothing less, guaranteed!

Samsung was the winner, hands down, for best Picture for Movies, reliability, and sound quality(separate review for the best sound system-The Q990D), which, with their proprietary Q symphony technology, just puts home theater sound and movie immersion in my living room over the top! I am an avid movie lover/streaming services binge watcher and I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice and purchase. This TV is ridiculously customizable, with so many options for tweaking and personalizing the Picture, sound quality, and Gaming features to your own preference, that you can’t go wrong. I own a bedroom 55” q60 Samsung tv that I’ve had for a few years, and I really appreciated the more powerful speakers, quicker refresh rate, the bigger size and energy saving performance this 75” Q80 comes with. The 4K picture is breathtaking, Samsung really puts amazing, top quality products out and they’ve won over another loyal customer….. And… to make it even better, when you purchase a Samsung TV, they include Samsung TV Plus, which is basically like a whole extra cable/streaming service with hundreds/thousands? of GOOD, WATCHABLE shows and movies, news, etc. If you’re in the market for a new TV, and can’t decide… trust me. You will be happy with a Samsung TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a reliable but old 1080p LED TV with the Q80D. Love the look of this TV! The blacks are well defined, and the colors are vibrant and really pop. Just watched a new 4k disc of Superman and it's the best I've ever seen the movie look. The OS is pretty nice, though I did have a bit of a tough time finding the app section. Pleasantly surprised at the number of different video formats it plays on its own from a hard drive. I have a large collection of digital movies and was able to plug a 5tb hard drive into the USB port and play directly from it. Some older .avi files would not play but the newer .mkv and .mp4 files played without a problem, even the newest HEVC files. It has a wider range of capabilities than the 4k player I bought which is nice! Streaming apps available work fine, it streams smoothly. My only quibble with the OS aside from a bit of trouble finding the apps section is that once it starts auto playing the live TV app at startup, it's very difficult to stop it from doing so. I eventually uninstalled Samsung Live TV entirely to get it to stop auto playing at startup or when going into the list of attached devices, after more than a half hour of searching for other ways. Had it been easy to turn off all auto play features throughout the TV I might have given a five star review. Also did not like having to turn off the AI features manually. Don't need any of that, it just makes the TV look worse, faker. But all in all, very pleased with the purchase.

We have the TV mounted on a wall about 20 feet from out bed. The image is clear and the apps are simple to access. We have the TV hooked to a soundbar, and that has had issues (e.g. the software as delivered needs an update and the bar needed repair. So make sure you have warrantee service. also Samsung installer would not handle the soundbar so we got a third party to mount the TV and soundbar. Don't pay Samsung for it, they did not deliver as expected and would not return the money. But all things considered we are happy with our choice.

I only had that TV for about a year, so I was hesitant about spending more money on another, but I knew I had to be very thorough about which one I'd be spending the money on. I’m BEYOND happy I went with this option, the sound is absolutely amazing, and don’t get me started on the picture quality, I’ve never seen such bright and clear colors. You truly cannot go wrong with Samsung; it’s worth the buck! 100% recommend!

I've had this TV now for approx. 5 months. Overall happy with the TV but it has a few shortcomings that should not be. On the good side the picture quality is excellent especially for a midrange model. Sound is good although I don't use the built-in speakers. The compact remote is excellent, I have not missed having a full size remote at all. The OS is reasonably quick and, so far, has had every app I've needed. The OS is where this falls off a bit, for some reason someone thought it would be a good idea to not have a search feature for apps - whomever that was should be let go. Secondly, the text input is unlike... every other text interface on the planet. It does not have a simple delete feature and no tab key. These oversights are inexcusable in what is otherwise a very good TV.

I've owned this TV for a few months now and use it occausionally in the bedroom. The sound is very good on it's own but I am using a Bose speaker that of course is slightly better. I also have a 75 inch Sony and a 65 inch older 8000 series Samsung. The 8000 series has a better picture than both of my other TVs. I find the Q80D is not all that sharp picture wise and it's not the signal as all three TVs receive the same signal. Overall I think it's a good TV but not as user friendly as the 8000.

Having decided to upgrade my old lcd samsung tv. Looked at quite a few sets. Settled on this one the QE65Q80DATXXU. Wow the qled compared to my previous set is amazing. So much more detail being shown on the screen. The sound being dolby atmosphere is as expected, nice punchy bass and the dialogue is front and center were it should be. I've not scratched the surface of going through all of the stuff the telly does yet. Would I recommend this set, that would be a big yes.

Purchased before the holidays and I'm blown away. I use mostly for movies, sports, and gaming. Some folks say sports don't look great, those people are wrong. The color, clarity, and gaming features are fantastic. The seamless integration with our Q-Series Sound Bar delivering a Q-Symphony feature creates an rich audible experience as well. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. If you're on the fence of QLED vs OLED, the experience with the Q80D has been incredible.

Samsung QLED is a great TV. Picture is flawless. Only flaw- this a major one. The base in the middle is terrible. Worst idea ever. Tv wobbles and I always feel like I’m gonna get up in the morning and it’s going to be on the floor. I replaced it with an after market one. Like the original one-2 feet- one on each side. I’m not the only one that thinks this. I have 2 friends who also have this tv and have also replaced the base back to the original style.

Not happy, picture blurry, Can’t identify people during game, no picture size, voice and mouth movements don’t match, on the picture side movement are to fast or to slow, watching Netflix or Amazon movies picture is perfect. Reason didn’t return to store to heavy to take down. My 75” also a Samsung was better. What happens with the 4k system? I’m paying extra to you tube tv for this. Replaced a 55" Sony Bravia now hung in the porch. This 65" is perfectly sized for our MBR. The colors are terrific and not over saturated. I've got it on the 4k setting and it's a lovely, uncomplicated picture with no stray pixels. The sound is surprisingly good for a mid priced model that's not hooked into a soundbar with no separate bass booster. Full and rich sound dispersion. BTW, I never give anything a "5",but this product is a 4.5

After a lot of research I found the Q80D a great balance of cost and performance. The picture is great and the features are awesome. I love all the smart features like app integration and the Samsung TV channels. I was able to combine the TV with a Samsung Soundbar to take advantage of the Q-Symphony which is amazing. I really love this setup.

Sound quality is ok. We use a Samsung sound bar but do not like that the TV won't default to the sound bar and that you have to connect it every time you turn the TV on. We love the remote feature on our phones too. It was easy to hang up and set up for all our streaming services was easy too.

Th TV is great, but why on earth does Samsung not fix the issue of the TV auto-running apps. It will NOT stop automatically turning on my game consoles. I've tried everything and read every singel Reddit post, and it never works. There is a setting that says "Turn on/off Auto-run apps" and when you turn it off, it runs them anyways. Not sure why this issue has been around for so long and why it is so hard for Samsung to fix.

I’ve had this tv for a couple of months and haven’t been able to get the picture adjusted and have tried everything all the online help from Samsung every YouTube video. The live picture is “ok” but video is not clear and older videos are really blurry. The picture is nowhere near as good as the 9 year old Vizio M that this one replaced perhaps I will pay a professional to come to my home and adjust the picture

I've not hooked up my ultra high speed eARC HDMIcables yet, but even so the picture quality is fantastic. The set up (smartphone option) was incredibly easy. I have a Q800D soundbar coming today and my new cables, so I anticipate that the picture quality will be even better. I've only had the tv a few days, but I am very pleased with my purchase so far.

The picture is great when seeing head on, but once you view from off center the image fades. I did not know this when I made the purchase. But biggest problem is periodically the sound will be muffled when I turn the tv on. This lasts until I unplug, wait a while and then plug back in. I thought it was the cable box, but it has been connected to three different boxes and same problem exists.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was absolutely stunned with how spectacular the Samsung 50 inch QN50Q80DAFXZA is. The visuals are some of the most crisp, clean and clear visuals I've personally ever seen on a TV. The main user interface is also.lightning fast. App uploads were a breeze and I truly liked how quickly I was able to navigate around the Smart Things App. Gaming on this television is also awesome, and it was like a whole new experience even on my older titles. I really loved that most of all. Another cool feature was the self charging remote. It has a solar cell on the back of it to charge it when not in use. Personally I'd buy this one again and recommend it to everyone I know. I do however wish it came with mounting for the wall. It did come with a nice heavy duty stand but not many people these days are using stands. Overall the TV is a 5 star win in my opinion. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it.

The overall image looks fine, however game mode has major issues with local dimming. The algorithm is broken and it causes HUD elements to wash out and lose detail during dark scenes. There has also recently been a software update that has completely removed HGiG, so unless both of those issues are fixed in the near future I’d avoid this TV for gaming, it’s simply not up to standard.

Compared to the old smart hub this one is not as nice or as easy to navigate or to add apps to. I wish I could delete some factory installed apps. I wish it had larger memory for apps to be added to. Love my Samsungs, I cannot compare them to others as I have always had Samsung's. I have never had any issues with any of them. The last one I had over 9 years and it still worked great, I simply upgraded to a larger size. I will say the sound is off, I simply use a sound bar now. Maybe it is just TV itself, talking is always too low compared to music which is always to loud.

I purchased for a larger size bedroom. Picture on this model is beautifully clear. Best of the 3 Samsungs I currently have in my house. The absolute one thing I despise with all the Samsung TVs are the remotes - they are the worst! I would have dropped rating down if wasn’t for excellent picture quality. Samsung, please make a larger more efficient controller.

This replaced a 55" Bravia that's now residing on our outside deck. As a MBR TV it's very solid in it's picture clarity, color saturation and depth. Might have given it a 5, except for the lack of Fine tuning the sound - mine tends to be "bassy" and could benefit from a treble adjustment. Overall a very good performer, especially at the price point.

This is a great mid tier television....recently purchased for our bedroom and it was miles above our previous Samsung tv. Great for all aspects of entertainment as well....games look beautiful and HDR content is crisp and bright. This thing is packed with smart features as well....integrates well with SmartThings. Overall, this TV has a great picture and seems to fit my needs. I would have given it 5 stars, had it not been for the remote. Needs to have buttons for fast forward & rewind, added. This remote makes it VERY awkward to fast forward/rewind recorded content. I still use my firestick to access this content, which means using 2 different remotes!

I am very frustrated with my Samsung TV. It frequently changes my Chanel to CNN and Forensic Files. This requires me to go through a process to get back to. my preferred channel I strongly dislike CNN and Forensic Files This problem .was present after purchase so I suspect that Samsung is receiving compensation to favor CNN and Forensic Files

After hours of research and reading countless reviews I chose the Q80D and I can't be happier!! This was the largest tv I've ever purchased but the quality and color from this TV is amazing!! It will need calibration to get the best picture quality, so keep that in mind. Don't hesitate to purchase if this tv is on your list.
