Would be Good if I had a Samsung fold but with the S22U it's very bulky and using it vertically the USBC port is in a bad spot, I recommend a cable with the USBC exiting right, you can't rotate it because the massive supports for using horizontally block every button, mounting horizontally with a s22 Ultra or anything similar isn't ideal because half the driving apps are vertical, The rotating outriger on my unit broke within 5 day's, which was surprising because the overall finish and quality is pretty good and the vent hook mount is solid if done right, I will keep using it if Samsung replaces it, but will need a 90° uscb cable

Do not buy straight garbage product, Works well however i had this item working in my car for about 3 days before it broken into pieces with no excessive force or impact. I Can only imagine due to heat in car or maybe a defective batch of products. I contacted support for warranty help feeling confident there wouldn't be any issue getting this replaced however support simply refused to accept my claim that i hadn't physically broken this product myself. Now i'm left with no broken project or anything and minus the money spent to return this to the store. Beyond disappointed in a undersdtatement

I purchased this item with my S22Ultra. As a charger, it works fine. As far as build quality goes though, it is under-engineered and not really fit for purpose. The S22Ultra is too heavy for the cradle and one of the arms simply snapped off making it useless. I am a long time Samsung fan and this seems out of character. It is probably an OEM item - I would have hoped for better scrutiny before Samsung put their name on it. Still, after reading the other reviews here, I feel that it would be pointless to reach out. Does anyone have a recommendation for an alternative?

As other reviewers have noted, the legs will snap off incredibly easily. You cannot mount the device like it's pictured in the photos. The weight of the phone will throw the charger around when driving and it'll fall out of place. You have to make the charger perform gymnastics with its legs to hold it still. The result of this, I suspect; is what causes the legs to fail as you cannot guarantee even distribution of weight on them. The legs are all very solid up until the point they join up with the rest of the charger, then the plastic becomes surprisingly thin. I used this for approximately a 4-5 weeks and randomly out of nowhere both of the legs snapped while driving smoothly down the highway, sending my phone, charger and cable tangled into my legs on the floor.

I got it about a year ago with my phone and it worked ok to start with. But as of the last few weeks it has started to have problems where it won't let go of my phone unless the car is running. Normally it would hold power for 1-2 minutes after car is off to release the phone but not anymore. (I turn car off then worry about where all my stuff is). Also having trouble with the phone staying in place. It's like the rubber pads on top and bottom have compressed slightly so it's not holding the phone tight enough

The charger bracket broke when tightened at the rear, so I contacted Samsung to arrange a rear bracket replacement (as they are a cheap and small rear attachment) and was notified they do not sell them individually - and that I will need to purchase a new one (?). Not a great product as is now usable to its intended purpose, and simply another landfill item due to lack of effort to facilitate product replacement parts. Generally a shame considering its impressive charging ability when in use and operational.

Well I love how it operates and that it has the clip that extends to the back of the vent to actully hold the heavier bigger phones. Only one I purchased that statayed in place. However, since there is no Aux port for music I still need to use the USB-c port which is not convieniently located to remove the phone and place it back with how it's designed. With that I could still live with. But now after 2 months while driving the leg snapped off of the bottom. For the price I do not expect that to happen.

Bought this 5 months at the same time as my new Z Fold 3. Has been in daily use since then and the ball mount armature has just snapped. Not really surprising when you look at it - a thin plastic tube with an undersized metal self-tapping screw in it. Add the weight of a Z Fold 3, magnify it through the leverage effect, and even gentle driving has the whole thing bouncing up and down and flexing. It's inevitable that the weakest link (the arm connecting to the mounting ball) fails sooner rather than later.

Purchased charger a few weeks ago. The charger is terrific, easy too use. Solid base for phone and simple connection system. The only only flaw with the charger is the mounting system. Actually the mounting system is very well designed, but expecting flimsy plastic slats to carry nearly half a kilogram of combined weight is ludicrous. Would I recommend yes with a caveat to purchase a solid dashboard mount. Can only recommend that Samsung either include a dashboard mount or rethink their mounting strategy.

Purchased 2 of these, 1 for myself and the other for the misses. Her stabilising ring broke on 1 side so we had it replaced after a month of waiting finally got it back. Mine I had for longer... however it on and off chargers but found out is was a fault with the default samsung cable so I replaced that with a generic usb c. After fixing that my ring broke on both sides putting all the phones weight on my vent and there for breaking 1 of my air vent... never buying any car chargers again from samsung.

Been using it for over 5 months now and works FANTASTICALLY. I dont know why so many 1 star reviews on this. Its been flawless for me. It has a strong mount and is stiff enough to not bounce around while driving but still loose enough for adjustments. The only thing could be improved is to maybe make the grabbing mechanism a little more narrow so the Fold 3 can be also used in portrait mode instead of only landscape, since Google's "driving mode" only works in portrait mode currently.

Product is badly engineered which is suprising coming from Samsung. Legs break at the plastic join to the stem. There is a reasonable amount of pressure required to stabilise the phone in position and then at times cars go over bumps. Anyway 1 stem broke at 6 months and then the other a month later. Samsung refused to replace due to being outside their 6 month warranty period which i think is against Australian Consumer Law. I have lodged a NSW Fair Trading complaint.

Pretty much same as all other reviews. Feeble bracing arms both cracked and then eventually broke off in matter of months. Pity because the cradle section seemed quite good and charging was nice and fast. Really poor design... the cradle and motorised gripping mechanism are heavy enough on their own. Add the weight of a phone and if the bracket doesn't break then your car's vents definitely will. Hard to see how Samsung let these go out the door as they are.

In a vertical position, the placement of the grips and volume buttons are a problem. You can only have your phone with a flip case in one way and this causes the grips always to block the buttons of the phone. If placed horizontally because of charger grip, it pushes against -ve volume button turns down the volume while driving as the grips don't hold the weight of the phone. Poor design. Grips need to be clear of the phone buttons

A month and 1 day after I received my Wireless Car Charger for my New Galaxy Z Fold 4, I drove over a speed bump at 20Km/h (one of those steep backstreets soild bitcherman, "will bend ur rim if your speeding" kind) and a leg snapped off the mont it occurs to me that a metal ring and arm inside the plastic would have prevented this and only slightly increased the cost to manufacture. I do NOT recommend this product in it's current design. The charger itself its great. I love that it opens and closes automatically for a snug fit and charges quickly. if your willing to source your own mount using the ball/socket joint on the back of the charger this is a good product. Once again the mount Samsung supplies is trash quality construction and simply can NOT take the stress these heavier phones exert when jostled by reasonably expected everyday motion in a car.

Epic Fail of the most basic functionality. Did anyone at Samsung even test this piece of crap charger - doesn't even charge the S22Ultra that it is bundled with. I thought it was just me, but scroll through the reviews, many say the same. Also, the unit opens and closes randomly while driving, making the phone fall out, and it's design doesn't allow for secure mount in portrait mode. Seriously terrible design.

I'm using it with fold 5 and though it's not designed for it,with a decent power supply it's doing great. Yes, you do need to be careful in order not to damage your vents but once you install it, it's super stern and even with my wild driving the phone never fell out. I wish it would fit all ways but still, I'm returning 2 otherbl chargers, which were twice more expensive by the way.

Build quality is very disappointing. Looks and works well for the first 3 or 4 months until it breaks, thank goodness I didn't pay for it (included in offer with new S22 Ultra). A few months after eceipt one of the support legs broke (an obvious weak point in the construction) rendering the unit useless. Come on Samsung you can do better. Disappointed and cannot recommend.

Out of warranty by almost 2 months and it snaps in half while driving. No refund or replacement offered by Jbhifi under Australian consumer law so 1 star for jbhifi too, but they will contact Samsung. This is a catastrophic failure of a product that should last at least 3 years. Do not recommend if you have any ultra phones! Hopefully Samsung do the right thing here.

Love the charger and cradle. The rear connector broke in the first couple of weeks. The stabilisation arms have a week spot where they join the inner ring and brake with little resistance. This is disappointing. The online warranty request isn't straight forward or easy which is also disappointing.

Unit fit well to my air vent and the wireless charging worked flawlessly holding my S22+ firmly. Unfortunately after using it for a month, one of the support arms broke while I was driving and it was holding the phone. Samsung stated that breaks are not covered by warranty and it was not a fault.

Loved it when first purchased but the product has snapped off twice at the joint (replaced once already then happened again), I assume due to hot car and therefore not suitable for Australian climate.

I liked the charger itself but it sticks out to far and the support legs broke off. The charger is fine but the mount is some cheap, brittle plastic crap. Now I'm suck with a worthless product.

I love the automatic opening and closing jaws that hold the phone, you need to adjust the knob at back to adjust the hook that attaches to vent, worked straight away, so i would recommend it.

Got it as a gift with S22 Ultra. Does not stay properly mounted. Too heavy so it keeps shaking all the time with the phone on it. Does not charge phone even without a cover.
