Let's explore the steps to troubleshoot and resolve these intermittent restarts and get your Watch6 back on track.

When the Watch6 device rotates the bezel during charging or calibration, it may go beyond the geomagnetic sensor calibration range if there are materials around that have a strong magnetic field. Due to the logic fault at this point, restarting by itself may happen sporadically.

This is only possible if the Compass complication is present on the Watch face.

Restarting cases happen when

  • Using Compass complication on Watch face.
  • Implementing Compass app.
  • Using Google Maps.
  • Repeating the rotating bezel on the charger(magnetic).
  • Using near electronic cigarettes.

There will be a new software version released soon to improve the phenomenon. Please check the installed software version and update it with the latest software version.

If it occurs restarting while using, for a temporary workaround, you can disable the Compass complication on the Watch face until you get a new software version update.

Note:

  • Please remember to keep magnetically powerful things away from the device while it is in use.
