S23 Series S pen compatibility and features
The Samsung S Pen is a stylus designed for use with Galaxy devices, offering precise drawing and writing, pressure sensitivity, and unique features like Air Command and Screen Off Memo.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra S Pen is for the Galaxy S23 Ultra only. The Air Action feature cannot be used because Bluetooth pairing with models other than the Galaxy S23 Ultra is not possible.
However, it can be used for Writing on other models (excluding Foldable models) that have a Wacom panel applied
- When changing the switch to an S Pen: Writing and Air Actions possible
- When changing the switch to a Z Fold: Writing is not possible
- The Maximum supported distance is 10 Meters (Equivalent to S22 Ultra/Note20)
- The S pen has an internal battery with a capacity of 0.35mAh and charges when the pen is inserted into it. The charging time is approximately 7 minutes. With a fully charged battery, the S pen can be used continuously for 20 minutes with Air Action. It has a standby time of 24 hours.

- Battery life may vary depending on usage environment.
The S23 Ultra S pen is IP68 supported, the presence of a small amount of water does not cause an issue with charging and usage, but it is recommended that water be removed before using
If the device is moved while the Pen is not inserted, the device sends a notification.
