Troubleshooting eSIM transfer

When it comes to eSIM transfers, troubleshooting can be crucial. This guide will help you resolve common issues and ensure a hassle-free transition to your new eSIM. Let's dive into troubleshooting eSIM transfers.

  • When using my device's Setup Wizard, the eSIM Transfer option does not display. What's the reason?

If there is a physical SIM or eSIM during Setup Wizard, eSIM Transfer pop-up does not occur.

 

  • It shows some of the SIM list dimmed while trying Transfer eSIM. What is the problem?

In case of network locked SIM, possible SIM only shows and another service provider or carrier’s SIM is deactivated (not transferable).

So even though you try to tap the dimmed SIM list, there is no response on the deactivated SIM.

Cases of eSIM Transfer NOT appearing conditions on Setup Wizard:

1 If the physical SIM is inserted on the new device already.
2 The physical SIM is not inserted, but it does not appear when Wi-Fi is not connected
3 If the device is not supported for Number Transfer (identified by Activated ID)
