What is HDMI 2.1, and why do I need it?

There are several HDMI versions. The various HDMI versions are HDMI 1.0, HDMI 1.1, HDMI 1.2, HDMI 1.3, HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and the newest version, HDMI 2.1.

Over time, new versions are developed to suit the ever-expanding need for fast connections to transmit music and video of greater quality. The most recent version, HDMI 2.1, supports a variety of current and upcoming standards, making it perfect for game consoles.

Automatic Game Mode

There is no need to change the TV's settings since, when a console is turned on, the TV immediately enters game mode. The game console then utilizes Auto Low Latency Mode to automatically optimize the TV settings (ALLM).

Alternatively, you may manually activate Game Mode by following the instructions on our website, How to use Game on your Samsung Smart TV?
