[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Q800B Soundbar was very easily set-up and blew the entire family away. Normally, we would have to crank the TV volume up and down to get a continuous consistent sound but with this soundbar, our TV experience has been blown through the roof and the sound quality is out of this world. The subwoofer is lightweight and easily tucked aside; does not take up much room at all. The best part about this soundbar is the Bluetooth connectivity allowing us to connect our smartphones and stream some music creating a family dance party in our living room with some of the best sound!! This product has made the family movie nights much more enjoyable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impressions when i opened the box was that it looked like a slim and sleak, modern sound bar. It seamlessly connected up to my TV via bluetooth, and instantly sounded better than the rubbish sound you get with modern TV's. The instructions are clear and the sound bar is easy to use. Quite basey at the moment which can almost make the speech sound a little quiet at times so need to figure out the settings on that. Definitely a lot better though and worth the money i feel. It's a great quality sound bar, which I expected from samsung. The sound bar also fits perfectly on our TV stand. Pretty pleased with it overall.

As soon as I connected the soundbar to my (very expensive) TV and I played a video I was shocked. I never knew soundbars could make such a difference in the viewing experience. My family now is disappointed in me because I didn't buy a soundbar earlier :) I have always liked Samsung products but the HW-Q800B/ZA made my confidence in Samsung products even stronger. The soundbar is not cheap but the experience it provides is worth the price you pay. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality soundbar that plays along well with other devices, and streaming services.

The sound of video games is awesome, I can not stop playing now more than before. Versatile and can be installed on the wall if needed. The kids love signing with Disney movies more than before. I don't know how they do it, but the speaker positioning really does a great job at making it sound like you have more speakers than just the soundbar and subwoofer. We ended up also purchasing the rear speakers for an even fuller experience, but it's definitely not required to get great sound. All levels of sound are clear as well. I can't imagine you'd need any soundbar with more speakers than this one (unless it came with the rear speakers) because this is plenty loud enough and at max volume it's extremely loud but also clear. Additionally, it has eArc for the best quality sound from your source. If you're researching the best soundbar for you, I'd end the search here.

Once it was paired, the sound quality was superb. Excellent sound with the ability to adjust the base. I especially liked the 3.12ch Dolby Atmos which filled the whole room with crisp audio. The speakers in my tv and the sound bar worked together to operate as one. It was amazing watching a movie using the Samsung HW-S800D with the wireless Dolby Atmos, you could hear every word and it gave us a new listening experience in our own living room. It has a modern, sleek design which blends well with my television. The subwoofer is not huge, so is fairly inconspicuous. I would recommend this soundbar to friends and family.

You can literally hear the sound coming from different parts of my TV while watching movies or shows. Amazing! The subwoofer has a deep powerful bass that complements the lows from the speaker. I have been searching for a compact soundbar for the bedroom, and the Samsung HW-S800D soundbar seemed like a perfect fit. Initially, I was unsure about its performance, but after installing it and trying it out, I was very impressed. The sound is clear and crisp, and the virtual surround feature sounds great, even without the side and rear speakers. The slim and lightweight design allowed me to install it just under the TV on a Full Motion TV Wall Mount, giving it a sleek look. The subwoofer adds extra punch, and since it's wireless, I was able to discreetly hide it inside the bed frame.

We mounted ours on the wall under the TV, which was super easy with the included hardware and sticker for screw placement. The sound quality is excellent, so detailed and balanced! The subwoofer placed to the side of the TV stand is fairly discreet visibly, while still packing a big punch sound wise. We have been thoroughly impressed with the sound quality and aesthetics of our new set up.

Well I can tell you, this is an excellent soundbar for the size. So much more sound than what I was anticipating. Absolutely phenomenal what Samsung has done in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this system if your looking to improve your sound quality as it submerges quality sound all around. The slim design is also a huge plus as well as the fact that the system can be wireless if you choose. It was simply to set up and there are many settings to set it to your liking. Perfect system to add to your setup. I set mine on a tv stand temporarily, but can’t wait to put it on the wall with the tv for a prefect look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I like this soundbar. The audio clarity and depth from movies and streaming content is very good. The connectivity with our Samsung TV and the soundstage feature makes a really nice room filling experience. The size of the soundbar is awesome and with a couple of 3D printed stands, it sits up off of the stand below the TV and looks purposeful. The one negative I have with this device is the built-in Alexa. This was something that made me lean towards this particular model and I have to say, it's less than stellar. The response is slow and it doesn't integrate well with the other Echo devices. For example, I have a group of devices that I like to play music on throughout the house. This device is our main one and I cannot integrate it with the Alexa app into this group. It's also on the older version of Echo's software so it has trouble with some of the automations I have set up for lights and outlets. This isn't a big detraction from how good overall the device is though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I decided to purchase this soundbar to replace an old soundbar that was at least 10 years old. The Samsung S800D is the model that I chose because I felt that it was a more advanced model and figured I should upgrade to the best one. What caught my eye is the slim design and how nice it looks. It has features such as wireless connection, Bluetooth connection, and HDMI connection. So, for Bluetooth, it does not have a delay in connection with my Samsung TV, which was nice coming right out of the box. I also decided to connect it via Wi-Fi, and it worked very well. I knocked it down a star because I noticed that in comparison to both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, I decided to connect it directly via HDMI, and ultimately, the sound was far better than Wireless The base sound was very rich via Bluetooth and drowned the Voice in comparison with HDMI connectivity. That is why I knocked it down a star. Overall, I would recommend this soundbar if you want a richer sound since it is a better experience when watching shows or movies. The price point is a bit high and might sway a person to purchase different brands in comparison to this one.

I was a bit hesitant to add a sound bar to my space at first since I worried that it would look too clunky, but this soundbar is unbelievably slim and sleek, and looks wonderful! It's definitely the smallest soundbar I've owned. But even though the soundbar is slim, it still has amazing audio with booming sound. I also have never used Samsung's Q-Symphony before, but wow was it incredible - the soundbar connects to the TV speakers, playing sound from both to create a very immersive, surround sound experience. I kept switching between the TV speakers only and then Q-Symphony to compare, and it really is no contest - It really kicked the audio up to a whole other level. I also love how easily the soundbar connects to other devices. It has built in Chromecast that I use every single day to play music, and it connects so quickly and effortlessly. It can also connect via wifi and bluetooth, so there are plenty of options to get connected. And the best part - I have a Samsung Frame TV and used to be disappointed that I couldn't play music while having artwork displayed, but this soundbar has been the perfect solution. I can now cast my music to the soundbar and keep my artwork up - it definitely elevates the space!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung HW- S800B is a very skinny soundbar that has excellent sound & is really easy to set up. I am using it with a non Samsung TV and this soundbar looks great with it. It is very easy to set up & use – especially if you are using other Samsung components. I also have Samsung smartphone so it works seamlessly with Smart Things. It comes with mounting hardware to wall-mount. Yes, it uses a mini-HDMI cable (not full-size HDMI cable) which just means it has a smaller connector but still works the same – just saves space on the soundbar with a drawback or breaking easily as i already snapped one while lifting the soundbar. Unboxing the soundbar was very easy its packed in a guitar shaped box with everything well packed. The components and wires and all portions of the system feel top notch and well built. After connecting via HDMI, the sound bar was recognized instantly. The sound is amazing right off the box and the sound bar fully works with the TV volume without having to dive into settings. The range of configuration is rich without adding too many unneeded settings. Dont let the small size fool you, it does look sleek but the 3.1.2 channels of Dolby Atmos or DTS:X audio delivers a punch. Overall, great quality and performance in a small, elegant package.

We bought the Samsung Q800B Soundbar to replace a dated surround system that, even though was in good condition, it lacks most of the features we now have with our new sound system. First, the set up was fairly simple. We chose to connect the soundbar to our Samsung TV via HDMI Arc with the provided HDMI cable, to get the best sound experience possible. Once connected, the TV recognized the new device immediately and we were able to change the settings to better fit the space. One piece of advice is to link the Soundbar to the Smart Things app to have a better experience setting up all the features. After all that, we also connected other devices to it using the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi options and, even though the sound is still great, we know we made the right choice using the HDMI Arc connection to the TV. We have been playing a lot of movies, specially action movies, and the sound is amazing! Mi kids have also played some video games and you can really hear the smallest details. The sound fills up the room without any distortion. The subwoofer is powerful and you can also set it up to perfectly fit the space without taking away from the rest of the sounds. In summary, easy set-up, great connectivity and spectacular sound! We now know we made the right decision to upgrade our sound system and we are very satisfied with our purchase.

Its size is just perfect, not too big, not too small, making it ideal for any space. I really enjoyed playing around with different sound modes. The features that I most enjoy are Standard and DTS virtual; the sounds are crystal clear, it makes you feel fully immersed. I found that Surround and Game mode are very similar, in the way the sounds were portrayed. Surround was perfect for an action movie. Having played a few games with the new speaker, I noticed that I was really engulfed in the gameplay. This definitely enhanced the entire experience. I found the voice amplifier to be pretty cool. It absolutely brought out and emphasized the voice from the music. This speaker brings out another element from the voice that would otherwise not be seen or noticed on other speakers. What I love most is how easy it is to use and connect to other devices. It’s nice to have an app to control the speaker and changes its features from your mobile device. Connecting it to our TV was simple and quick. It was just as easy to switch to phones whenever I needed. Overall, if you're looking for a speaker that delivers great sound, is easy to use, and plays well with others, this is definitely worth checking out.

Fit perfectly with my existing TV and connected via Bluetooth. In a previous soundbar I had a lag with the video and audio on Bluetooth but with the Samsung Q800B Soundbar I did not notice any lag. Put in one of my favorite DVDs to test the sound during one of the naval battles and was impressed at the range of sound. This is definitely NOT a wimpy sound bar. Bass and treble are more than adequate but still learning the nuances to get that perfect blend. Also ran a quick test with the PS5 and was blown away by the game mode sound. The music was crisp, and the battles made you feel like you were in the middle of the action. The bass was definitely noticeable and felt good. No complaints so far. I have a lot more testing to do but first impressions have been good. Now I wish I had gone with the higher end model. LOL. Day 2. There was a noticeable difference between the sound running on Bluetooth and WIFI. It was significantly louder on WIFI than Bluetooth. It has a lot fuller sound as well go thru Wi-Fi at least for cable TV. I switched between Bluetooth and Wi-Fi several time just to be sure I wasn't imagining it. I did the same for game mode and didn't notice any variation with sound from game console. Overall, after two days I say would say its rock solid. Easy install and configure and great sound quality.

This is a perfect sound bar for an apartment kind of setup in my opinion you no need to run multiple power lines .. you just have to worry about the subwoofer and the soundbar power supply rest is via Bluetooth. PROS: 1. A Big Space saver for a small room setup. 2. Great elegant look with a great sound quality bar. 3. Easy to mount on the wall, it comes with clear instructions, guiding tape, screews 3. Comes with a rechargeable remote, easy-to-use and self-exploratory 4. there are touch-sensitive buttons on top of the Soundbar for manual operation. 5. 3.1 channel sound bar with 3 different connectivity features WiFi, HDMI, Bluetooth and you can play using NFC too to listen to music 6. Inbuilt Alexa and Apple Airplay support, I only have Alexa (Works Great) so yet to experience Apple airplay. 7. Doby Atmos and DTS-x are amazing to experience. CON's: 1. If the watching video quality is bad, sometimes you might feel the Audio is out of Sync with lip movement. 2. No RCA connector, so that is a limitation to use with old electronics. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this soundbar to put in my basement with my Samsung freestyle projector because of the Wi-Fi sound capabilities. However, once I heard how amazing this sound bar sounds, I replaced my 2020 9-channel Samsung soundbar in my living room with this soundbar and put the 9 channel system in the basement. I couldn't believe how great this soundbar sounds for just 5 channels. I did end up also purchasing the rear speakers (SWA-9500S) to get a full surround sound, 7 channel experience However, do not feel like that is needed as this soundbar's side and up facing speakers do a fantastic job of emulating surround sound with the help of some of Samsung's newest technology that they put in this thing. It truly is impressive that this soundbar sounds as good if not better than the "more premium" 9 channel system. All levels of sound are clear, and I love all the tuning capabilities that are accessible both on the remote and with more options in the Smart Things app. Another small quality of life improvement feature I enjoy is the tap to play feature that I use with my Galaxy phone to quickly play whatever I'm listening to on my phone. Another reason I replaced my old system with this one is how premium it looks. I love the hard grills on it and the slightly visible speakers through the front. And the screen is invisible when off and easy to read from the couch when changing the volume. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this soundbar and if I had one comment for something to improve it would be to have more HDMI inputs as there's only 1 input and 1 output. Tenho esse modelo há alguns meses e até hoje nunca consegui ajustar decentemente os graves . Eles são muito exagerados ao passo que os agudos são muito estridentes . Os médios ficam sem corpo , sem presença . Mas o que mais me incomoda é o desbalanceado entre sons altos e baixos . O dolby atmos só nota-se as vezes , quando resolve aparecer rs . O spacefit sound deixa tudo mais grave ainda . Fiz todas as configurações possíveis . Ou fica grave dmais ou fica fraco dmais e agudo exagerado. Já acabei danificando o cabo hdmi pelo simples fato de ser curto dmais . Não gostei também do suporte de parede e tive que improvisar um outro .

The soundbar is so thin compared to the Older Samsung soundbar I was replacing ,with out the back speakers I was worried that it would be missing a ton of power and sound compared to my old soundbar "wow was I wrong". Once the new soundbar was mounted under my Samsung Frame TV I was amazed on how thin it was on the wall. The soundbar connected to the Samsung smartThings app very easy and just needed a quick update. It also sets itself up with the adaptive sound feature and adapts to your room. Once it was updated, I was connected to the tv I turned on StarWars Asoka and my god the sound from the little soundbar just blew me away, with the dolby atoms. With the Q-Symphony option it uses the speakers on my tv at the same time "I think this is only works with Select Samsung tv's" this help fill the room with even more surround sound. The soundbar came with a micro Hdmi to standard Hdmi cable to attach to your tv so nothing extra to buy " this is a great extra" you can also connect the sound bar via bluetooth or your home wireless. Once it was connected to my Wireless network and SmartThings it seamlessly connected to most of the tech in my home and can easily stream music right to it. It also has Alexa built in just had to connect via the Smarthings app it also works with Google home/Apple airplay and chromecast. When I connected to my X box I used the game mode and the sound it creates in the room is a game changer. In my short time with this soundbar I truly have been amazed by it the most difficult part was mounting the bar on the wall and that only to 25 minutes and I just wanted to make sure it was dead center and even on the wall. But just how easy it was to connect to the tv and my other devices and the crazy amount of base and sound that come out of such a small package still is just amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From a background perspective, I have had at least a half a dozen soundbara over the years. This model, however, is my favorite. Visitors to my house are always perplexed about where the wonderful sound is coming from. Certainly it can't be coming from that slim soundbar, especially the bass. I have the wireless bass hidden under a nearby end table, so it's not easily seen. And since it's wireless, there are no wires giving away its location. You can tweak its sound, which includes amplifying voices, if so desired. And don't let is small form factor deceive you, it can get quite loud. As I said in the beginning of this review, it is easily my favorite soundbar.

Terrific sound from such a small unit. Setup was fast and easy. Crazy how slim this thing is, almost disappears and unnoticeable. Wireless connection with the subwoofer is seamless and simple. Currently using it paired with a frame tv. Very pleased with the system. Cable length for the power cable could have been a bit longer for my particular installation, surprised it was as short as it was. Also odd decision to have the cable connection run outward from the rear side rather than toward the center, meaning you have to curve them around to get them back to the center of the device for routing to tv and power.

This soundbar does not have that problem and has many different settings so you can pick how you want the sound to be from gaming, theater, etc. This Samsung sound bar is also slim which makes it look great with our tv setup. Watching a movie is like being in a theater. We was so happy with this system that we decided to get another one for the bedroom tv, I would highly recommend this Samsung system to anyone who is looking to upgrade there sound system.

As a result, it not only looks great just about anywhere, but sounds much much bigger. After adding this device to my SmartThings app, the Soundbar seamlessly/wirelessly connected to my Samsung OLED TV. The sound quality is amazing, with almost any feature you can think of (i.e. Dolby atmos, voice amplifier and enhancement, adaptive sound, etc.). The bass that the subwoofer provides is spectacular. It truly feels like an immersive theatre experience when watching movies and shows. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality soundbar addition to their home.

Many types of Bluetooth devices can be synced; and was able to keep a Bluetooth connection from more than 60ft! Can stream sounds over wifi devices like laptops. Gaming surround sound doesn’t let the enemy sneak up on you! If you have an older TV that doesn’t have an ARC HDMI port and no Bluetooth or Wifi connection capabilities, this is not compatible with older TVs. Another issue is there are two separate AC plugs with right angle cords. That’s unnecessary, they should be straight plugs.

It looks sleek and nice but amazing audio quality. I love the simple look and I couldn’t think of a better match. The subwoofer is also small but powerful. It’s the perfect size. It’s been designed to keep its sleek look as well. Now let’s talk technology. It pairs up amazing with my Samsung tv. I can use my Samsung tv remote or my cable remote to control it all through Bluetooth. It helps keep things nice and sleek and not with a bunch of wires hanging around. I personally couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I strongly recommend. It’s a 9.2/10 for me.

We chose the Samsung HW-S800D (3.1.2 channel setup) with the goal of high quality theater-like sound in mind. I’m a pretty big fan of Dolby Atmos’ capabilities, so that alone was a big selling point for me. Set up wasn’t too easy or too hard. The instructions could’ve been illustrated a bit better. The subwoofer didn’t automatically pair with the soundbar like the instructions said it would to, and my wife had to do the manual pairing process a few times to get it to stick. It was worth it though (wife agrees) with how nice the 3.1.2ch setup is. Genuinely great quality for the price.

I am glad to say that I was wrong with my first impression. While incredibly thin, this soundbar produced amazing sound and bass with the included subwoofer. Everything from music to movies to TV shows to video games sounds great! Setting it up with the smart things app is very simple and love how the app can provide updates for the soundbar. You can also control the soundbar and change settings in the app which is way easier than using the remote to adjust its settings. Overall this soundbar is incredible and it's all done in an insanely thin design.

The subwoofer the dual tends that are much louder than the regulars and the soundbar alone is the size length of my 65 inch flat screen TV and the living room and then have another one down here in my basement living room I've been a huge fan of Samsung. I went to the store, checked them out, and determined the correct size for my manufactured home. As I am a part of a store's program for free install and guarantees, I decided to go for it. Also dolby atmos sounds amazing but only if it's in the right mode and the content you're watching is dolby atmos Natively. It does not support d t s x which is a major disappointment. Also the subwoofer does not hit as hard as I would like. Q symphony capability is extremely limited and actually sounds worse if you are trying to get decent base. The only way to get decent sound is to hook it up to your wifi so that you can have control over the individual channels using the app. With my q95b TV with q symphony enabled I lose all control over sound quality, so that is now disabled. I won't buy another samsung sound bar unless they improve on the control and add dts x.

The subwoofer packs quite the punch, be it for movies, games or even music! While the Samsung Smart Things app (which is what's used to manage the soundbar) is relatively easy to use, it unfortunately caused an error on the soundbar which prevented audio though after a quick call for their customer service, it was immediately addressed with a simple reset. I was watching Game of Thrones on this and it genuinely feels like you're right next to the characters!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the look of this product as soon as it came out of the box and was excited to get it set up. It looks quality which is nothing less than I'd expect from the Samsung brand. I got it all set up then was dismayed to find my TV did not have a suitable bluetooth setting and I therefore needed an HDMI lead to connect, which it didn't come with. So had to wait a few days for that to be delivered. Once it was up and running I was immediately impressed by the sound quality from such a slim soundbar. Although it's slim, it is quite long so doesnt fit on top of our unit with the other things we have on it (broadband router, photos, generic satelllite TV box....) so I wall-mounted the soundbar. Whilst slightly tricky to make sure the bracket holes are in the right place and level (there is a template but it was concertina-folded in with the screws so I didn't find it until I'd already made my own!). Brackets allow for thin wires to go behind the soundbar but I have one cable which is slightly too thick, so that's slightly annoying. I've also used the soundbar to play music via bluetooth from my phone, and the sound is equally impressive. I've not noticed much output from the subwoofer, only occasionally, so I'm still testing whether it the location I have it in, or whether it's just the programs we're watching! Overall I'm impressed with the product and would recommend it, I'd just appreciate it coming with a cable to connect to the TV!

I bought this sound bar several months ago and it has been a horrible experience. Distorted sound and sound dropping out occurs every time I watch tv. I have never had a consumer product that regretted purchasing as much as I regret purchasing this sound bar. It is so bad that I am thinking of just giving it away and getting a LG sound bar. Do not be fooled by all the 4's and 5's reviews given on the website. Do a Google search of "distorted sound and Samsung soundbar". That will give you a better idea of the quality of this sound bar.

There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your Soundbar. First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Next, update the firmware on your soundbar. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to download the SmartThings app and connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. This will allow you to not only download any firmware updates but also control your entire soundbar on the screen of your smart device. Alternatively, you can go download the software directly from Samsung's website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-Q800B under Q Series. Please also verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update. If you are still hearing distortion then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - (Volume UP/DOWN) buttons on the body at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar has an excellent design a super thin sleek look that could be mistaken as part of the tv as it blends in so well. The sub is also a very small well designed I love the fact you dont need to directly plug these woofers to the sound bar to match up. I ended up putting this behind our sofa to get that rumble effect like in the theaters and it worked well for that. The stand out feature for this set definitely has to be the slim profile of the sound bar it is able to still recreate DTS and dolby atmos (quite well in fact) for the size of the sound bar. Although with beautiful design comes with sacrifices like a loss in some of the deeper lows associated with thicker bigger bodied sound bars and smaller speaker sizes overall. This presents less than ideal sound quality for some types of music and sounds on the movies but for the sleek look these sacrifices i think are okay. The sound loud enough and very clear in the mids I have no issue hearing vocals and talking on tv shows or movies and it rarely drowns out any sounds. I can definitely hear individual sound tracks clearly which i was very surprised. There does seem to be some digital processing within the soundbars software but it seems to be quite good for watching tv shows and movie so i dont really mind it. We do get to areas where the sacrifices are too great for me in this part of the review. There is no full size hdmi and instead the soundbar outputs from a mini HDMI port with a associated micro usb for "service". both of these ports seem very outdated for 2024 and are in desparate need of an update even with the sleek design i feel this type of IO is not useful for most consumers even if samsung provides a cable for the HDMI port. Another minus is that due to the small size a power block is neeed to fully power the sound bar making it another item most people will need to find a place to hide, and thus diminishes the sleekness of the sound bar.

I have it syned up with my Samsung TV and love it. It was easy to setup, and really makes me enjoy streaming television shows. I use it for video streaming for movies and for video games primarly. I love how it makes it sound 3D and so much better than just having sound from the TV. The subwoofer also works great and you can feel it in your chest when the bass drops! I would also like to mention I love how light the soundbar is, and how little space it takes up! Take a look at the picture - it's a tiny size, but really performs when it comes to the sound quality. I would definitely recommend this soundbar - you can't beat it for the price and for the quality!

It packs an amazing sound quality that feels impossible considering its size. It also manages to pack a lot of convenience features that make it really easy to use. The box contains the soundbar, wireless subwoofer, AC/DC adapter, power cables, rechargeable remote, HDMI to mini-HDMI cable, and wall mounting hardware. Everything is well packed with all the accessories in a single pouch. Setting up the S800B is easy. For my configuration, I decided to use a wireless connection to the TV to reduce cable clutter. The subwoofer is plugged into the wall. Two hanger brackets are secured the the wall with an included paper template to ensure optimal positioning. The soundbar is hung on the brackets and plugged in. From start to finish, it's a 20 minute task to have everything placed where you want. I connected the S800B to my Samsung account using WiFi and the SmartThings app from a phone. This allows any of the household's TVs or phones to broadcast to the soundbar. It also enables the Alexa integration, which allowed me to remove the Echo dot that was in my living room. The soundbar also supports Bluetooth and HDMI ARC connections, though I didn't notice too much difference between the three in terms of audio quality. With a Samsung TV, the soundbar is integrated into the TV control experience seamlessly. The TV turns on and off the soundbar the same time as the TV changes power state, and the soundbar's volume and audio processing mode are easily controlled via the TV remote and menu interface. The audio quality delivered by the soundbar is unreal. Compared to my other soundbar, the Samsung HW-MS650, the S800B's subwoofer easily outputs more bass while the soundbar speakers produce mids that are ever so slightly less full. That is a technological marvel considering that the S800B is only about a third the volume of the HW-MS650. It's so thin that the 55" Samsung QLED TV I have protrudes farther from the wall than the soundbar itself. It easily disappears into the space and just provides satisfying sound. It's not a home theater replacement, but for a person who wants a sleek, unobtrusive, and capable soundbar for a social space, there aren't many other competitors that do it all as well as this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, the "Ultra-Slim Design" truly is ultra-slim. I haven't seen any soundbar this slim, ever. Aesthetically, it's a very nice design and looks really great under my 65" OLED. It's also lightweight. The Subwoofer also has a nice design and is heavy. It fits nicely anywhere you place it and is not ugly where you want to hide it behind furniture. I like how they did not cover the subwoofers with mesh. With it being so slim, and mounted under my TV, I don't get the full effects of Dolby Atmos from the up-firing speakers. This is more of a placement issue on my end, but something to be aware of. Also, the control buttons are on top of the unit as well, so once mounted like I have, it's impossible to access the controls. I would say this design is more for placement on a table/entertainment stand, slightly in front of the TV, or above, which you can use the mounting brackets for or a universal soundbar attachment. Sound-wise, the output is great. It is slightly quieter than my previous soundbar in the mid-range, but that's most likely attributed to how slim the main soundbar is. You would need more surface area on the speakers in order to push this range. That's basic physics. Dolby Atmos works as intended when placed ahead of the TV. The sound modes for SpaceFit, Adaptive, and Game Mode are also nice options. Especially the active voice amplifier, it's nice to be able to hear dialogue at normal volumes. Instead of cranking it up just to hear spoken words, and then being assaulted by sound effects and explosions later. IYKYK. I'm curious to see if Samsung has any add-ons for additional speakers as well. I did sync it to my SmartThings App, but that was only because of my mounting situation. I need to be able to access settings and that was difficult to do with the top mounted controls I mentioned earlier. The app itself had all the options displayed nicely and even had options for updating the software on the Soundbar. They even had more equalizer settings if you truly wanted to adjust. I wish they had more default sound options to choose from though. All in all, this is a great soundbar. It's solid and appears to be well built. It's the best compromise for design and quality among others I've used. It's truly plug and play, and setting up eArc was seamless. I would consider it one of the better home theater options you can get, before diving into separate components.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first unboxed the HW-S800D 3.1.2ch Soundbar with Wireless Dolby Atmos, I honestly wasn't expecting to be blown away. Firsy Impressions: The soundbar itself was thin and sleek and weightless. Coming from a sound system that had me bogged with wires and multiple speakers I was positive the Samsung soundbar wouldn't deliver half of what I wad used to. Boy was I wrong. The sounbar itself delivered sound quality better than theaters and the subwoofer that pairs with it offered a ground shaking, blow your mind effect that had my jaw unhinged. How could something so small offer such amazing clarity and sound. It took watching shows and movies to a whole new level. Sound: 10 out of 10 superb! Bass: ground breaking. Literally. I live the deep bass tones I got from the subwoofer. The best sound quality in any piece of equipment I've ever had. Setup: this is where things got tricky. I followed the instructions to the tee because that's the kind of person I am. However once it said to pair up with the smart things app it left me hanging from there to figure out how to pair the soundbar to my TV. Personally I am a tech freak and was able to navigate till I found what I needed to pair the two. However it was nowhere near as basic and simple as I was expecting it to be and those who are not entirely tech or audio savvy may find themselves frustrated. Extras: Other neat features were that rhe soundbar can easily pair with Alexa so I could play songs through alexa on it with a sound and bass I had never heard before. Honestly the speaker paired with alexa easier than it did with my Samsung 2024 Frame TV. Overall: personally I love it. The HW-S800D 3.1.2ch Soundbar with Wireless Dolby Atmos delivered a higher quality set than I was even expecting. Sound quality is pin drop stunning, and your ears will be picking up on things you'd never heard before. The subwoofer is phenomenal and once you figure out how to navigate through the settings you'll have a fantastic time figuring out what works best for your room and fine tuning the sound to your liking. I didn't set my soundbar up in the conventional way because I hate wires and this soundbar has them. With my Samsung Frame TV I simply hid the bar underneath the table in which my TV sits allowing it to be almost invisible and wire free. Recommended- absolutley. Even with the small hiccups i had setting and pairing the soundbar up to my TV it was well worth it.

I also like that I can access the sound bar setting from my phone to adjust the equalizer, subwoofer, and the sound. There is an option to mount it on the wall. I definitely can tell the difference of the sound quality compared to the televisions sound. My biggest complaint is the initial set up. At first it was confusing, but we eventually figured it out. Also, it would disconnect from the television and we would have to go through the whole set up process again. Maybe it was user error. Not too sure of the reason for the disconnection. Starting out, it was frustrating, but now all is good and we have not had any issues since. Very happy with the sound bar!

The soundbar was fairly easy to set up but like other reviews I had read, the bluetooth portion was not very responsive and it took me a number of attempts to connect it. If there was a flaw to this sound bar, it would be just that- its issues with bluetooth connectivity. Just recently, it began having issues staying connected with our newer Samsung TV. It takes a bit of effort by resetting or powering on and off the TV and bar in order for it to reconnect. It has done this for the past week. Overall, this issue can be dealt with considering the sound and volume output are top quality.

I just bought this soundbar along with the Samsung qn65qn90b tv for the q symphony experience. I have connected it through the hdmi earc and I always set the sound mode on the tv for ..TV + hwq800b soundbar, however I often notice that the tv speakers(located on the upper back of the tv) do not play any sound. I am guessing that if I am watching a tv show in regular stereo mode the tv speakers do not output any sound because I have noticed that some sound is output from the tv speakers when I watch UHD movies. Can anyone confirm this? Otherwise the soundbar is pretty decent…I just wish the sound output from the tv speakers when engaged with the soundbar was better.

Hello JUqsymphony, Thank you for leaving a detailed review of your experiences with the HW-Q800B Soundbar. I am sorry that you have not been completely satisfied with your overall soundbar. When you are using Q-Symphony with the 65QN90B, those top left and top right speakers are designed to play Dolby Atmos content only. That is why you are hearing it when playing a 4K UHD movie, but not a regular TV show. The other speakers that are built into the TV will play when you are watching regular content. Keep in mind you can also improve your audio experience, the HW-Q800B features a wide range of sound modes and settings allowing you to fine-tune the sound to your liking. Pressing the SOUND CONTROL button on your remote allows you to select the desired sound effect. You can select Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, and Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons. Alternatively, with the sound mode set to standard, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer: 1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in. 2) Adjust the bass or treble levels by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control. Narrowed it down to a faulty HDMI out on the soundbar. Spoke to Samsung help line and they agreed that the product was faulty. Took it back to "The Good Guys" who exchanged it for a new one, connected it up at home and worked perfectly. Needed a very low soundbar to fit with my decor. Live in a unit so don't need loudness (although it has that) but looking for good sound with a bit of base from the woofer. Excellent product and very happy with the advice from Samsung help line.

The speaker and subwoofer sound clear and crisp. I've noticed that the speaker/soundbar sometimes turns off and is hard to bring back. I started to use the phone app to tinker with the volume. Mixed feelings about the soundbar because, to be honest, if the sound is not Atmos, i could not tell you whether my TV or the soundbar are actually producing the sound. Which at this price point... mixed feelings. Curious how this will sound with the additional surround/rear wireless speakers. Waiting foe the price to drop there to give the system a whirl. A little underwhelmed so far in the movie world. For music, solid.

This does not reflect poorly on the product because I connected it to my TV directly and the sound is amazing. I was normally using a projector and the speakers on that were blown out. The speakers on the Samsung surround sound and the receiver are crystal clear and you can hear every sounds just like you’re in the movie theater. I do not know how I’ve been living without the surroundsound system it is the best sound that I have ever heard. It’s going to make me stay at home and watch movies instead of going to the movie theater. I would recommend this product to all my friends and family.

Me and my family use our soundbar every night of the week and especially you love it on movie nights because it literally sounds like you have surround sound system around your whole room. The smaller, low profile footprint of the soundbar is great, but I’m unfortunately very underwhelmed by the performance of the product. Based on the product info online and various reviews online, I was expecting “bigger” sound. Especially for the price. A few issues: WiFi connectivity is not great. I can get it to connect, but it won’t stay connected. I want to use the Q Symphony feature, but it won’t stay connected. I’ve switched to Bluetooth. Second, the SOUND: it’s clear, it’s better than the TV, but I was really hoping for fuller, bigger sound - better, punchier bass. I’ve tried adjusting settings but even after doing that, the results are lackluster. The subwoofer is on the smaller side and the drivers on the soundbar are small due to the smaller profile, so I guess I should have known better.

We considered many options including headphones, but none seemed to fit our needs like a soundbar. We chose the Samsung HW-S80D because the reviews on the sound quality were outstanding, the slim design complements our decor, and the value provided by this Samsung device just pushed us to make this purchase. We have been very pleased with our soundbar. With Samsung,s Voice Amplifier feature dialogue is clear and understandable, music is crisp, and the quality is superb. Surprisingly, this relatively small speaker system can easily fill the room with undistorted sound, thanks to the Spacefit Sound feature. I recommend the Samsung HW-S80D to my family and friends, and I highly recommend it to you.

This combination is a practically invisible sound source that brightens the frame tv image with sound that fills the room I found that the mounting was more of a challenge than the frame tv mounting. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having previously owned various soundbars and bookshelf speakers, I can attest to the significant improvement a subwoofer makes. While the included subwoofer is compact, the soundbar itself seamlessly integrates with the TV, virtually disappearing from view. In terms of audio quality, I genuinely believe it rivals my former Sonos Arc and other setups I've experienced. A key advantage for me is that, unlike the Sonos, this soundbar doesn't obstruct the lower edge of the screen. I appreciate products that blend into the environment rather than drawing attention to themselves. I have encountered occasional connectivity hiccups. For instance, when switching from direct Spotify listening to the TV, I sometimes need to power cycle the soundbar via the app to establish a connection, and the same goes for the reverse. I've attempted several resets to no avail, and while it's not a constant problem, it's a peculiar glitch. Nevertheless, given all its positives, I really have no complaints. I highly recommend it.

I have the 2024 75" Frame TV and wanted something with a low profile that could blend in like the TV. This low profile soundbar not only achieves that asthetic goal but also greatly enhances the sound profile when using the TV. It's sound is full and produces a surprisingly surround-esque profile that makes movies and music significantly better. The included subwoofer is equally low profile and adds a great low end without overpowering. As for the connectivity and features, this bar excells there too. It connects seamlessly to the TV with Q-Symphony without any wires and I don't see any desernable lag between the picture and audio. The Q-Symphony feature is also fantastic because I was also able to connect my Frame Speakers to the TV and soundbar to create a truly immersive sound. This also includes Chromecast and Alexa support which gave me even more flexibility to use this and other Frame Speakers in my house for whole home audio setups. I couldn't be happier with this soundbar.
