Galaxy Tab S4 - Power Saving Modes (SM-T830)
When you're on your tablet using apps or playing games, its battery can deplete fast! But if you use its preloaded Power saving modes and charge your tablet properly, its battery will last much longer. Now you can finish that final episode without a cliffhanger.

Your battery seems to be draining faster than usual, and you're wondering what you're doing differently. On your tablet, you can view your past and predicted battery usage.
Navigate to Settings and then touch Device Maintenance. Touch Battery, and then touch BATTERY USAGE. Your estimated past and predicted usage battery usage will be displayed. The estimated amount of remaining battery will also be displayed.
Sometimes you need to make it through only one hour with a low battery, and other times, you need to make it through the whole day. You can choose between two Power saving modes that can help extend your battery life at critical times.
Navigate to Settings and then touch Device Maintenance. Touch Battery, and then the available Power saving modes will be displayed. You can select MID or MAX. Read the information and then touch APPLY.
To turn off a Power saving mode, navigate back to the Battery page, and then touch OFF.
Using the right charing practices can help ensure that your tablet's battery lasts and lasts for years to come. Follow these practices to charge your battery properly and safely:
- Only use Samsung supplied USB/charging cables and avoid third-party accessories.
- Ensure the USB/charging cable is connected securely and is not being blocked by your tablet's cover or case.
- Use the outlet on your wall instead of your computer for best results.
- Disconnect your tablet from the USB/charging cable once the battery is fully charged.
