[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Different mounting from last Samsung, had to get new hardware to mount. More difficult to set up with my satellite dish service than the last one. Start up is inconsistent, sometimes normal, sometimes have to use inputs to get satellite pic instead of Samsung pic - even though satellite audio is on, and I only use this tv for satellite input. Sometimes the picture blinks on and off while audio is constant; have to unplug for a minute and plug back in to get it to stop. Last Samsung stopped powering on after a routine power failure, I was hoping for simple mounting by sticking with same brand. Probably won't buy a Samsung product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv 2 years ago, since then I have had constant issues with bluetooth, ethernet and wifi connections. Samsung suggested that the issues were with my ISP, however I have replaced my modem, wifi router and network cabling I have also switched between 5G and NBN. Currently I have a 500mbps FTTP NBN connection and the network issues persist. Every other device in my home has no issues with bluetooth, ethernet or wifi; only this TV. Frequently, the TV insists that the maximum network speed is 50mbps, other devices will report over 550mbps on the same network. If I connect my laptop to the wall point for my TV, it will consistently report over 550mbps.

The brightness is perfect for my room, and the contrast delivers deep, rich colors that make everything pop. The picture uniformity is excellent with no distracting dark spots, and the upscaling does an incredible job making older, non-4K content look crisp and clear. On top of that, the responsiveness when navigating menus or changing settings is snappy and quick. Setup & Features: The initial setup was incredibly easy, and the instructions provided were clear and straightforward to follow. I don't use it for gaming or anything complex—I just use it to watch everyday TV and play music. I absolutely love having access to Samsung TV Plus for free live channels right out of the box, and I use the TV to play Pandora a lot, which sounds and works wonderfully. Highly recommend this TV!

Samsung says that, to take advantage of certain features, I must purchase Alexa or a (Bixby?) phone. Purchased Alex, followed Samsung instructions, and Alexa says it also cannot perform functions to enable to capabilities of the TV. Samsung ignores my requests for a remedy. I wish I had never purchased the TV.

The picture is good and various aspects can be adjusted. Many channels and apps are available and you can set up other apps and favorite channels. Many steps can be involved and require some practice and patience to figure out how to work some buttons. It’s good to be able to quickly return to the immediate previous channel being watched and flip back and forth during commercials. It takes some trial and error to see the info/content of the channels. The sound is fine. The stand is easy to install and the tv is lightweight.

Have had this exact model for a month now. First impression was not good. The programing software was slow and clunky .. it repeatedly dropped my input signal and to be found at every start. Just sluggish software. Updates and extra app eliminations helped. Picture is very nice for the price but at a cost. I kept it.

On some shows, the picture is so crisp and clear it looks as if we are actually on the set while the shows were filming. The smart TV aspect is great as well, we don’t need to use any additional devices in order to stream our shows. The set-up was pretty simple. We just had to create a Samsung account to be able to get the apps we wanted. We have never used a Samsung smart TV before, so learning their platform has taken some time to adapt to. Overall, we love the high-quality picture and the sound quality.

It is not like a conventional remote because there are hardly any controls to do anything. We were initially looking at a TLC with Roku because we've liked those in the past, but are really happy we went with a Samsung. The image is bright and clear and everything looks great, even older stuff. The remote is super responsive and the user interface is awesome. I love that I can use my Samsung Galaxy phone as an additional remote, which makes for a very convenient and comfortable experience. Plus, being a able to connect an Xbox controller to the TV via Bluetooth and play games without a dedicated console is amazing. Would definitely recommend this to others.

It almost looks 3-D especially with nature shows or any programs with landscapes. Sound quality is clear and steady. I wish the controller that came with it was bigger for my old eyes and that the guide button was separate from from the channel button. I accidentally hit the guide a lot when I'm trying to change the channel. The same thing happens with the volume buttons. I accidentally hit the mute button when I'm trying to lower or raise the volume. But I can just get a differnt controller. Overall, my wife and eye are very happy with the purchase.

This Tv has very easy set up, he had this going within 10 minutes. The remote has a Netflix and Prime button. We are not very tech savvy but you don’t need to be with this. There are only two things with this tv; it does not come with the place to connect headphones, so I had to buy him wireless ones and pair them. The other thing is since it’s in another room and facing opposite wall (open concept) when I turn up or turn off one tv, sometimes it does the same to the other. It’s still an overall great tv and I’m happy he’s enjoying it.

While the picture is great and we like the features we have experienced off and on issues with sluggishness when using the remote and moving between options. We have Also had some issues with buffering in the app we use (YouTube TV, Prime,Paramount and Pluto). We also have a Roku device connected to the HDMI port with the same apps installed and have ZERO buffering issues when using the Roku device which leads me to believe it is related to either the TV memory or apps? Knowing this we will most likely not be automatically choosing Samsung for our next TV.

Setting up the TV is proving to be quite frustrating, even though I've been part of the Samsung ecosystem for almost 2 decades. I don't like the remote either; call me old fashioned, but I love remotes that still have numbers on them. Shipping was also confusing; thankfully got items on time, but shipping details did not match what was on Samsung website or app. I did appreciate that the TV was able to connect to my phone quickly; the Smart things aspect seems to be responsive as well.

Its menus are user-friendly, a.k.a. easy to navigate. The picture quality is great (bright and sharp). There is one area on the upper right edge where there is a sort of white halo, though we tend to just ignore it, and it is likely a damage issue rather than a typical happening with this TV (since we got it as an “open box” situation). The sound quality is good, though we will likely purchase and add a sound bar because we know it gives a more authentic sound experience. Overall, the TV is operating well and we are simply satisfied with all that it offers.

The software on the television is a turtle in comparison to what I thought 2026 software would perform. Television offers many good games movies and applications but many can't perform under hardware specs , take multiple paid subscriptions, are not compatible but advertised, the controls feel manipulated beyond the basic haptics of a remote layout.. the television turns onto random things when powered on just depends on the day. Very strong internet connection but still choppy connection uncertain of issue Only one USB port and three HDMI ports. Give me more power and less waste.

I got to say I was impressed. Most TVs dont have a heavy contrast look to them however this particular piece had a minimalist aesthetic and with its 4k display, it just looked amazing. I recently obtained this television, and the first good thing i noticed about it was its resolution and its upscaling, which is 4K. I believe this feature along with the PurColor technology makes this television's brightness stand out from other standard TVs. The 4K resolution really does make an impact- it feels quite Responsive sharp and clean.

Samsung requires the installation of an app (Smart Things) on one's smartphone and then linking that app to Alexa or another voice activated device in one's smart home. I found the process cumbersome and in actual fact never got it to work. So I am stuck using the onscreen keyboard and the remote to conduct searches, etc. I am thinking about re-installing my Firestick (from my old TV) and using the Firestick remote to reinstate voice functionality. Samsung can do better..

The picture quality is incredibly sharp, the colors are vivid without the picture having too much contrast, and there’s absolutely zero lag. I dreaded reconnecting to Netflix, Prime and YouTube TV, but with the QR codes it couldn’t possibly have been easier! This television exceeds my expectations in every single way! (Oh…didn’t mention the sound. Two thumbs up, too! I’d heard that Samsung televisions have just mediocre sound quality. Well, not the case with this one! It’s crisp, clear and has far, far more distinctive volume than my apartment needs.)

Selection of Apps is easy to navigate and add. The issues I have with this system is the responsiveness of the TV and remote can be very sluggish at times as there is a delay between the time you press a button on the remote and the TV actually responding. Some apps can be slow to load and are buggy,not sure if it’s Samsung or the App itself. This is our third Samsung TV and we are still learning all of the options and choices.

The sound quality is horrific I have tried all the recommendations I saw online. No matter what setting or modification I make there are certain times while watching movies tv shows the sound sounds like they’re talking into a fan. The sound vibrates and rattles sounds terrible and is super annoying. But after I already installed the tv and mounted it I’m stuck with it. A 50 inch that sounds terrible. I will be having to buy a seperate sound system just so watching tv is bearable.

I'm personally shocked this is considered and priced as a "budget" TV because it is simply amazing, and the low price makes it even that much more so. The picture is crisp and the 4K upscaling works and looks magnificent on anything I watch or stream. Being a SmartThings enabled set, you can control it with your smartphone or voice (or the old fashioned way, with the remote). It has a generous amount of HDMI and other inputs. This is the kind of quality I would expect out of a TV that is priced five times the cost of this one. Highly recommended.

I am SO happy with our choice. This tv has a great picture- we did mess with the brightness and saturation a little to get what we liked based on lighting in the room and that was easy to do. The navigation among streaming services and adding apps for services is super easy. The sound quality is also really good. Our previous tv needed a sound bar but it didn’t attach to this tv. We assumed we’d need to buy a new sound bar but we’ve been watching it a week now and the sound has been great with sports and movies. I highly recommend this tv. The price point makes it an easy choice and it’s definitely worth it!

For instance when you turn on the tv what happens, where does it go? You can’t change the home page to what suits you. Slow response to the remote actions. Do not care for the fast forwarding feature at all! Occasionally it seems to have a mind of its own. Settings are hard to navigate and understand. It does not tell you what episodes you have already seen on some channels. On the other hand the speakers are good and picture is good most of the time.

A few months go I had a hissy fit over the LG and ordered a Samsung. Should have done it sooner. As an elderly adult, It was very simple to set up. No calls to my kids. Loved the picture. But sadly no more. It has burnt out, and i am not pleased at all. I have had my 55 inch model just over 2 years. Not good enough ,frankly i will never buy a Samsung Tv ever again. Seems there is a massive issue re the setting for the picture WHICH Samsung don't warn you about. I actually thought my Tv was a Infra Red Heater as everytime i walked by it it was very warm . Then just under a week there was a burning plastic smell coming from the Tv. Could not find origionally where it was coming from. But then the Tv just started flickering and died. Looked online to see what could be the cause. Apparently Vivid or Dynamic setting causes more heat. So be warned. I never contacted Samsung , as no doubt they will just put the blame on myself.

For non-senior TV viewers I am sure this is all standard functionality easily managed but in the world we live in where you flip between cable and streaming I wish there was a simple single button (that he could see) available. Although the TV is fine, i am frustrated to find him regularly watching with no sound or a partially blacked out screen because he was 'changing channels'.

I found the remote however to be a challenge to use with buttons having multi-functions that you only become aware of while using. I have a major complaint however with the TV's manual, if you want to call it that. Virtually no information or help is given beyond the initial set tp of the TV. i have had issues with the channel watched when turned off the night before not being on the next morning when turned back on. Almost always switches programs back to Samsung TV programming and nothing in the "manual" says what to do about it. I would give the TV a solid "A" but the maual a more than solid "D" and that's being kind. Along standing company such as Samsung can be better than this.

Sadly, the color saturation, the reflection of natural light, and the overall picture were underwhelming, and I decided to stay with my older 55". I will wait to upgrade when I can afford one of the more expensive models as I do like the Samsung product but this one just did not perform like I thought it would.

Setting up the Wifi feed was a bit confusing as the instructions didn't state that the TV would automatically link with my wifi signal so I was looking to input my Wifi password at the beginning of the process. Also I understand wanting to get the user access to all the streaming channels easily but because I use the Amazon Firestick they are available there, already logged in and operable. Also for older owner, such as myself it can be a bit foreboding to navigate through all the streaming channels instead of simply adding the ones desired as I choose. Beyond that the TV performance is very good and controls are are great. I am very pleased with my new TV.

When I turn the tv on it has to wait for a bit before the actual picture comes on. Then it isn't what I was watching when I shut it off. I have to ush another button on the remote to get to a channel that I recognize. Also I hate having to have 2 remotes to control the tv. Everything is on the universal remote that I use but the sound is on the remote that came with the tv. Kind of a hassle. Otherwise it is a great produce!

The Upside of the TV is of a great design, very light and the Brightness and Contrast of the Screen is Paramount. It also has Uniformity,Upscaling and Responsiveness. The Downside of the TV is that it doesn’t Support discovery+ and also BBC iPlayer the only way you can get these at Present is through an external source such as a Amazon Firestick which was a bit disappointing as it stated on the Site we went on to Buy the TV that it did. But I my last tv went out & now that I have this new one I can really tell how bad it was getting. This one is Bright, Colorful & fairly easy to operate the remote (which can be a struggle for me after having a regular remote w/ #'s etc for so long.) I assume it has more features & functions than I've had time to learn & figure out. Not a super fan of the "FreeTV" line up. I miss my old tv's free channels.

Just three hdmi ports is insufficient , cable, roku, earc, No spot for a DVD player. There are many user who have legacy equipment and we feel short changed. Some users may just buy new equipment, I'm not one of them. I will have to find a work around for an additional HDMI port. Picture quality is very good, but the construction feels flimsy, but time will tell if it is durable.

From brighter whites and darker blacks to and the number of pixels it has, it produces a bright vibrant crisp clear picture while watching movies or playing games. The game mode also really helps because it detects the input from thw device and refreshes the tv into game mode automatically, giving you the best picture quality for each task without having to change it manually.

Navigating is unforgiving, obtuse to use a kind word, and it was the most difficult of the conversion by far. Same goes for the streamers - someone needs to tell those people how bad their user interfaces really are. I have to install and use CHSN for three local sports teams. I have no issues on my other tvs, installed and works. Not this TV, UN55U8000HFXZA. I have contacted support several times and was told I have to wait for their app database to update for this app on this model. It's been over 6 months! Very disappointed with Samsung not having this available.

I tried adjusting and it does not dim really at all. Our last Samsung did this automatically. I also wish it would be on the last channel I was watching when we turned it off instead of having to go thru app screen every time when we turn it on. Sleep timer takes several clicks to get to as well (in settings). Old Samsung sleep timer was on the remote not in settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall we have 3 other Samsung TVs in the house and it's the only brand we'll buy. For this latest purchase in 2026. The good: excellent picture, great color, and brightness. Samsung plus streaming TV is the best with dozens of really great channels !! None are a big deal but the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. It's usually responsive to streaming commands, however occasionally seems to lag or get stuck on a menu. To solve, push and hold the power button for a few seconds, which reboots the TV and resolves. This particular TV came with the small minimal remote but prefer the old style remote with larger buttons, separate fast forward and rewind buttons, etc. Lastly, it's a couple inches thicker off the wall mount than our prior Samsung TV purchased back in 2021 but not a huge deal. Overall happy with the TV.

Had an electrical transformer explode at the street and the surge blew out my old tv even with a surge protector. So, I researched and found this one on sale. What an excellent tv. Was a bit of a learning curve to understand and use all the features/menus. The paper manual is in tiny print, so I went to the Samsung website and downloaded all the manuals: tv user manual, user setup, remote control and quick start up, etc. I was then able to enlarge and read them om my computer screen. Took me a couple of hours to fully explore, understand, and set all the features, but once done it became very easy and intuitive to use. For the $, tv is featured packed, excellent sound and picture. All menus and functions are smooth and relatively fast in responding and populating. I am impressed, and it takes a lot to impress me. Very pleased with this purchase.

Upon return this weekend for the July 4th holiday the tv is not working. After researching every possible option to fix it, we googled what could possibly be wrong considering it’s a brand new tv, there is a red light blinking which google said is a malfunction in the tv. We are very disappointed in the product.

The menus are clear, the controls are straightforward, and it’s easy to navigate between apps, settings, and different viewing options. The picture is crisp and clear, and the smart features don’t feel overly complicated. I especially like that everything is organized in a way that makes sense. Overall, it’s a great choice if you want a smart TV that is simple, convenient, and easy to navigate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went from 32" to this 43" tv (wish I had gone to newer TV sooner) the picture is excellent, really has some good resolution , very 3d looking, super sharp. What i really like is the SmartThings / Bixby integration, works flawlessly .surprisingly it even has some functionality with DirecTV with the mobile app. For me this is a bedroom tv so it's the perfect size. Highly recommend this tv to anyone in the market for this size tv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new 55" Samsung. The color is sooooo very clear and good. It's outstanding mounted on our wall. Lovin' it! However, no so with the remote control. It's not easy to go from one program to another. If the remote had numbers on it, it would be so much better. Then both the TV and the remote would be 5-star perfect. But, as I use it more and more, I'm getting use to it--still should have numbers on it. Thank you.

I love the television what I don't love is that remote which is still very difficult to operate it's two basic I also don't like the volume it seems like I have to turn it up as high as it goes and yet I still don't think it's loud enough I do need a sound bar other than that the picture quality is great I love all the options available to me I've always love Samsung and I'm not dissatisfied at all with the television itself

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung TV has great picture white colors Great response to the remote. App selection is good. However, I wish I had more selections for Christian programming. Very few and far between if any. As far as I know, there are none on the Samsung TV app. I have to go to other apps or to get Christian programming and that’s even scarce. The family apps or the family option is mainly all cartoons very very, very little Choices for Adult movies and shows that are family orientated And Christian. Our four star rating is basically on the appearance of the picture not the programming. I rate the Samsung TV program app I’ll probably be at one or two star. There’s just nothing on it that even appeals to me. I do have other apps that I subscribe to that I have put on the TV that I do watch and even then those are few and far between for family orientated Christian programming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with my Samsung TV. The picture is nice and crisp. The sound is great too, no weird echo effect. The setup was super simple and easy to complete; wireless setup was a breeze as well. It's been a long time since I've owned a Samsung TV and now, I'm wondering why I stayed away. Such a great TV. I do kinda wish the "feet" lifted the TV a little higher. I had to use blocks temporarily to accommodate my set up.
