1. What information we use

When you have consented to receive marketing information from Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, which those entities are controllers for, we (Samsung Electronics Nordic) also process information about you based on what type of services you use.

If you are using Samsung Account, we collect information about you (such as your name,email address, phone number, address and registered devices), technical data about your devices and how you use them (such as IMEI- or serial number and other unique identifiers, information about your phone provider, access logs, status information of your devices, geographic location, IP address, cookies etc.) and information from 3rd party applications, services or programs (such as 3rd parties’ cookies from Google Analytics etc.). If you are using Samsung eStore (including any optional services), such as when you purchased a Samsung device through the Samsung eStore, we collect information about you and your order (such as name, email address, phone number, home address, purchased product and services, order no., etc.) and technical data (such as IP address and cookies about placed orders etc.). If you have consented to place cookie on your devices, we collect information about through essential cookies (such as information about items you placed in the shoping basket etc.), performance cookies (such as information that enable us to analyse the performance and design of our website and detect errors, information that you have visited our website before etc.), functional cookies (such as information about your chosen preferences for displayed information on our website etc.) and advertising cookies (such as information about products which you have browsed or ordered on our website etc.). 2. How we use your information

If you have consented to receive marketing information from Samsung entities, we use the above-mentioned information about you for the following purposes:

• To improve the quality of our digital marketing through customization of the marketing communication send to you, such as to exclude you from advertising that is not relevant for you (i.e. to exclude you from advertising of Samsung products that you already own etc.); and

• To provide you with better experience when receiving marketing information from Samsung entities, such as to personalize our marketing communication with you based on information about you.

We may also combine the information about you with information from 3rd parties’ services and apps that you use, such as digital platforms and network services, as further described in the above mentioned policies.

We process your personal data for the above-described purposes. Our legal basis for this processing of your personal data is our legitimate interest to personalize the marketing communication that you have chosen to receive from us and therefore to provide you with online advertising that that is relevant for you in relation to the products you own and to your online behavior.

3. How long we keep your data

We will not keep information about you longer than is necessary for the purposes we collect your information for. This means that our information about you will be deleted or destroyed from our systems when the information is no longer needed. We will disclose your information as strictly necessary to pursue the described purposes, internally within our business to the relevant teams, such as, without limitation the marketing team, the legal team, the finance team and the technical team. 5. International transfer of data

To provide you with personalized online advertising will also involve the transfer of your personal data to Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Korea), Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited (United Kingdom), and other countries outside of EU/EEA, including but not limited to USA and Singapore. We take appropriate measures, in compliance with applicable law, to ensure that your personal data remains protected. Such measures include the use of Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard the transfer of data outside of the EU/EEA.

We take protection of your data seriously, and have put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard the information we collect.
