External storage does not work well for Android phones and tablets. My experience with the t7 for the galaxy s8 ultra tablet, the volume is recognized, but a message appears every once in a while asking you to restart the tablet, and the device is disconnected more than once. As for the s23 ultra, the t7 never connects to the device and does not recognize it, and the link to the program that came with the box is not compatible with the type, and even the application in Google does not recognize the external storage unit. Likewise, with the s21 ultra, the s8+, and the oppo z2, the same problem was that the connection was unstable.

J'ai acheté sur Amazon.fr., le 30 décembre 2023, un SSD Samsung T7 (bleu), code du modèle MU-PC1T0H/WW. Dans la boîte qui m'est arrivée, je n'ai trouvé ni les câbles promis, ni le guide d'installation, que j'ai dû télécharger. J'ai branché le SSD sur un port USB. Le voyant bleu de connexion s'est allumé. Le son qui indique une nouvelle connexion n'a pas retenti. Le disque n'est pas apparu dans l'explorateur de fichiers. Il n'est pas apparu dans Paramètres/Gestion des disques. J'ai téléchargé et installé SamsungPortableSSD_1.0.exe et Samsung Magician. Le premier a déclaré qu"aucun SSD Samsung n'était connecté. Le second n'a pas reconnu le disque non plus. J'ai cherché "Pilote T7" sur le site samsung.com, réponse "Aucune suggestion".

Terrible. Il existe un gros défaut de conception dans la prise meme USB-C. Le contact n'et pas franc. Le format USB 1 était bin plus contactant. Du coup il se déconnecte de manière incompréhensible. Je recommande ce produit pour son concept et sa vitesse de transfert sur papier, mais une fois entre nos mains, il devient un objet impossible à toucher par peur qu'il se déconnecte. C'est nul de la part des gens qui sont des ingénieurs incapable de concevoir des formats fiables. On préférerait tous une version avec un "Click" indiquant un contact à 100% indéconnectable.

[Diese Bewertung wurde im Rahmen einer Werbeaktion gesammelt.] Samsung enttäuscht mich mal wieder nicht! Ich habe in meinem PC leider nur eine 500gb Festplatte gehabt, weshalb ich mir diese Festplatte zugelegt habe. Abgesehen von dem tollen Design überzeugt die SSD noch viel mehr von ihrer Leistung. Ich habe gesamt Material in Hähe von über 350GB innerhalb weniger Minuten verschieben können. Durch den einfachen Anschluss mit dem mitgelieferten Kabel an mein Handy, könnte ich die Bilder von meinem Handy direkt auf die Festplatte verschieben und habe nun auch wieder Speicher. Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich super zufrieden und kann jedem, der eine zuverlässige, schnelle und leistungsfähige Festplatte sucht, diese empfehlen!

My computer only came with about 300GB of storage, so this was a game changer for me. I also had a lot of pictures and videos on my game console that needed to be stored somewhere else to free up space, and this SSD was the perfect thing for that too! It's write speeds are much faster than an older external hard drive I had, along with pretty much all of my USB drives. I now save most of the videos that I make on the SSD. And 2TB is such a large amount of storage to me, I've basically made it my secondary storage unit now! 10/10 product!

It's literally smaller than my wallet. It was a breeze to set up and now I feel so secure if I misplace. Aluminum case is sturdy and won't crack or damage from a small drop like some of my others I've purchased in the past. I was able to bring my workload home without having to lug the different devices I use there and still have my downloaded PS4 games loaded with tons more space still available. The speed loaded at the same rate from first file to file 247 I currently have loaded. I would definitely recommend and will be purchasing one for my son as well.

Die Leistung und Geschwindigkeit sind bemerkenswert, und ich konnte problemlos große Dateien zwischen meinen Geräten übertragen. Besonders beeindruckend war die nahtlose Integration mit meinem iPhone 15 Pro Max und meinem MacBook Pro M1. Das schlanke und robuste Design der SSD macht sie nicht nur ästhetisch ansprechend, sondern auch äußerst praktisch für den täglichen Gebrauch. Ich habe die SSD hauptsächlich für die Aufnahme von ProRes 4K 60fps Videos verwendet, und sie hat dabei ihre Versprechen gehalten. Insgesamt war meine Erfahrung mit der Samsung T7 SSD äußerst positiv, und ich kann sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Was sehr gut ist, dass es 2 Anschlusskabel gibt und nicht nur ein Kabel mit Adapter (USB-C-USB-A, USB-C-USB-C). Die SSD ist sehr leicht und handlich. Die Geschwindigkeit kann sich sehen lassen. 718 Videodateien mit 63,74 GB sind in 4 Minuten vom Smartphone auf der SSD gesichert. Die SSD wird vom Smartphone und auch vom iMac 27-inch 2017 mit MacOS Ventura sofort erkannt. Die Festplatte ist mit ExFAT formatiert. Vom iMac sind 18599 Objekte mit 175 GB in 29 Minuten gesichert. Ich kann die SSD voll empfehlen.

Essayé sur PS5 pour copier 48 Go de vidéos. Résultat : 7 minutes et 28s, alors que je m'attendais à un peu moins d'une minute. Le débit n'est donc que de 109 Mo/s ce qui est très faible pour un SSD, nvme en plus. Donc très loin des 1000 Mo/s promis en écriture. Étrange alors que tout le monde vante cette vitesse... J'ai pourtant connecté le SSD avec le câble USB-C fournit sur le port USB-C 10 Gb/s de la PS5. Peut-être que le produit est bridé sur PS5 ? Si quelqu'un chez Samsung peut me renseigner, svp.

Si le logiciel n'arrive pas à voir le disque sur Mac OS c'est psk lors de l'installation ils demandent des autorisations. Si elles ne sont pas autorisé la première fois ce sera impossible. Le seul moyen c'est de désinstaller l'app, d'éteindre le Mac de passer en mode recovery (rester appuyer sur le bouton ou cmd r au démarrage) puis d'ouvrir le disque et de donner accès aux app tiers puis de redémarrer le Mac et réinstaller l'app.

The Titan Gray/aluminum design gets praise for looking premium and feeling sturdy. 2 TB is considered a “sweet spot” for many users: plenty of space without needing to go to 4 TB (which is more expensive). The value is good when compared to other external SSDs with similar speed. 4. Compatibility & Convenience Includes both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables, so works with a wide range of devices (laptops, desktops, possibly consoles, etc.). Normally I would either upgrade the onboard SSD or make my own external SSD. The model of all in one makes changing SSDs problematic. it's not a stick a laptop on the back of a large screen type! The T7 is perfect for external expansion (I have 2 x 4TB connected), 1 for video, music and data the other for system images, system backups and data backup. Small, solidly made and well priced and compatible with Android. Transfer speeds average 500MB (bytes not bits!) per second more than acceptable for my needs. Considering a third for travel!! Beats making your own!

Using Samsung Magic to do benchmark, I get Sequential Read: 44mbs Sequential Write 36 mbs Random Read 7324 IOPS Random Write 5371 IOPS I don't know a ton about this stuff but here's a perfect example of the performance: On steam, it took 45 mins to allocate space on this ssd for Dead Space Remake, and Hogwarts Legacy. On my basic WD HDD, it happened so quickly I almost thought it didn't. I dunno if this drive is defective but.....I will probably never buy a Samsung drive, again. First impressions are everything.... I mean, yall used to make good CRT tvs hahaha

Was mich überrascht hat war das 2 verschiedene Anschlusskabel dabei waren. So muss man nicht nach einem passenden Kabel suchen wenn man diesen Anschluss nicht haben sollte. Dadurch kann man einfach das Kabel nehmen was man braucht. Dadurch kann ich es sogar an meinem Handy oder Pad anschließen. Es passt durch seine Größe in jede Tasche. Sei es Hosen-, Jacken- oder Handtasche und ist somit überall mitzunehmen. Es lässt sich leicht mit den Geräten verbinden. Eine schöne Lösung um zb. Fotos sogar unterwegs schnell abzuspeichern oder sie sich anzusehen. Natürlich geht es auch mit Videos oder Dokumente.

I moved over thousands of pictures and videos, which it handled easily. It also uses the USB-C 3.2 interface, which made it easy to connect to phones, allowing me to access files on the go, without a computer. The transfer speed was fantastic, I was able to transfer gigabytes upon gigabytes of media with ease. Lastly, the durability seems great. It looks to be made of durable metals, surviving some bending. Overall, a great storage solution.

It will fit in that tiny jeans pocket, not that I would recommend that! Incredibly Fast. With the included USB-C to USB-C cable, this drive has amazing read and write speeds. It has market leading performance. A USB-A to USB C Cable is also included in the box for those with older computers. Incredibly Powerful. The included management software from Samsung will guide you when it comes to encrypting your data to keep it safe from local physical access from others. Incredibly Versatile. The 2TB option is enough for me to feel future proofed for several years of data, photo, video and audio backups locally as well as transporting files from location to location.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these to use as the boot/root file-system harddisk on a Raspberry Pi 4+ (RPi) running linux to get better performance than using a sd-card or USB thumb drive. It's been working just great since received and while a RPi isn't extremely fast the disk improves boot time and the database speed for the e-mail spam filtering software on the RPi making it easier to use and monitor. System update performance is also better. The 2D footprint of the disk is almost the same as the RPi and the disk doesn't need additional external power, just a USB cable. So the two combine well without needing a massive brick external USB disk that needs it's own power supply connected to the RPi. The whole RPi and SSD T7 disk assembly is easily portable as a result.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a fan of Samsung's portable SSDs ever since I got my first 256GB T3 drive 4 years ago. I must say, the T7 is a great upgrade. The size of the unit is roughly the size of a credit card and only 8mm thin making it so easy to slide into a pocket of your clothing or bag and take it anywhere. The built-in hardware encryption is a great feature. There is even a read-only partition on the drive that includes the installation software for when you need to access the drive on a new computer. My own personal speed tests gave 1004.6 MB/s read and 915.93 MB/s write (Blazing fast!!). The NVMe technology has certainly given this drive a leg up over the older Samsung models. The SSD also stayed cool during even extended transfer sessions. Would highly recommend.

[Diese Bewertung wurde im Rahmen einer Werbeaktion gesammelt.] Da wir viele Fotos und Videos von Kameradrohnen speichern und bearbeiten ist ein großer schneller Speicher immer hilfreich. Beim übertragen der ersten 28GB wollte ich mir schnell einen Kaffee holen, da dies in der Regel 15 Minuten und etwas mehr dauern kann. Mit dieser kleinen handlichen Platte war dies jedoch erledigt bevor ich von der Maschine wieder kam, ca 7-10 Minuten später. 1GB überträgt sie so rasend schnell das es schon erschreckend ist wieviel Zeit wir vorher in der gesamten Masse an Daten "vertrödelt" haben. Am macBook haben wir die besten Ergebnisse erzählt, wenn die Platte in Ihrer Ursprungsformatierung (exFat) gelesen wurde. APFS war nicht so hilfreich wie erwartet. Im Gro0en und Ganzen genau das was wir wollen und mehr als wir erwarten. Wir nicht die letzte Platte sein.

Acheté 1To rouge en avril 2021 pour backup réguliers de PCs, rapide même en Multi-fichiers, compacte, après 2ans 1/2 toujours au top mais la version renforcée pour les chutes même si plus épaisse m’a séduit. il finit donc sa carrière sur PC gamer pour les jeux comme Apx et Rckt Leg ou Valort…sans aucun soucis! Un super produit, et le go/s est atteint sur des gros fichiers, comme des VM de 20-30go, on est plutôt entre 400 et 600mo/s sur dés transferts de photos moitié jpeg moitié Raw quand même 👌

The old one was starting to make noise so I knew it was time to retire it. I asked a colleague for an SSD recommendation and he did not hesitate in suggesting Samsung. The T7 looked to be exactly what I needed - SSD, substantial storage, and compatible connections. When it arrived (very quick delivery, too), set up was a breeze and I was able to start using it within minutes! Highly recommended!

[Diese Bewertung wurde im Rahmen einer Werbeaktion gesammelt.] Nachdem ich die SSD erhalten habe, habe ich diese direkt eingesetzt, um Videos im ProRes4K 60fps Video Recording Verfahren auf der Platte zu speichern. Durch diese Funktion der Platte habe wesentlich mehr Möglichkeiten erhalten, Filme im Nachhinein zu Bearbeiten. Auch die Geschwindigkeit der Platte ist wesentlich höher, wie die bisher eingesetzten externen Speicher zum Datenaustausch von größeren Datenmengen. Der Speicher erfüllt komplett meine Erwartungen und kann nur empfohlen werden.

Der integrierte USB-C Anschluss verhindert ein Kabelwirrwarr und macht sie zukunftssicher. Das Design ist sehr schick und die Verarbeitung und Robustheit wirklich ausgezeichnet. Was mich zudem besonders überzeugt hat, ist die Tatsache, dass die SSD kein mechanisches Laufwerk besitzt, dadurch langlebiger ist und leise arbeitet. Sie ist auch mit den gängigen Betriebssystemen kompatibel. Ich nutze Festplatten regelmäßig auch unterwegs und brauche daher eine kompakte Größe wie diese. Absoluter Gamechanger neben der handlichen Größe ist die Geschwindigkeit, mit der Daten innerhalb kürzester Zeit auf die Festplatte übertragen werden können. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden und werde mir noch eine weitere SSD von Samsung als Backup Lösung zulegen.

[Diese Bewertung wurde im Rahmen einer Werbeaktion gesammelt.] Ich habe die PSSD T7 von Samsung nun schon einige Tage im Gebrauch und bin sehr begeistert. Die Übertragungsrate mit bis zu 1050 MBit/s ist deutlich spürbar. Aufgrund ihrer Größe und ihres geringen Gewichts kann man sie überall mit hinnehmen. Mit den beiden mitgelieferten USB-C auf USB und USB-C auf USB-C Datenkabeln können sie auch überall, ob PC, Notebook oder IMac angeschlossen werden. Ich nutze diese Festplatte gerne für Präsentationen bei Schulungen, die ich gebe, da mit der Speichergröße von 1TB einige animierte Präsentationen und zugehörige Bild- und Videodateien locker Platz darauf haben. Aufgrund ihrer physischen Größe passt sie in jede Handtasche und sie stört nicht, wenn man sie nach der Schulung einfach in die Handtasche steckt und danach mit Kollegen/Kolleginnen den Abend ausklingen lässt.

Die Samsung Festplatte, ist klein und passt überall mit rein. Somit auch ideal für unterwegs. Ich habe es mit meinem Handy verbunden und ich konnte ziemlich schnell, mit nur einem Klick meine Fotos und Videos darauf sichern. Ich habe auch Videos direkt aufgezeichnet, das ging auch problemlos. Der Akku-Verbrauch ist sehr gering, was auch super für unterwegs ist. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und muss mir zukünftig keine Sorgen um meinen Speicherplatz machen.

Le SSD T7 dispose d'excellentes fonctionnalités, et est le seul SSD portable totalement interopérable entre plateformes (Windows, iOS, Android) en mode sécurisé, contrair"ement aux autres marques (Sandisk, Crucial, WD....). Cependant, hélas, après de multiples interventions en télé-maintenance par le support hotline de Samsung, il m'a été confirmé que le SSD n'est PAS COMPATIBLE avec mon Galaxy S10e (haut de gamme 5" de 2022). Alors, MEFIANCE !!!!

[Diese Bewertung wurde im Rahmen einer Werbeaktion gesammelt.] Ich habe die PSSD T7 von Samsung seit einigen Tagen in Nutzung und muss sagen, dass ich äußerst zufrieden bin. Als Nutzer eines iPhones 15 Pro ist ein SSD-Speicher der mit ProRes-Videos kompatibel ist, als äußerst wichtig. Eine weitere Problematik des iPhones ist ja auch der nicht erweiterbarer Speicher, welches sich erübrigt, wenn man schnellen Speicher in einem kompakten Format besitzt wie den von Samsung. Die Schnelligkeit hat mich am meisten überrascht, weil ich hier mehrere GB an Daten innerhalb von wenigen Sekunden verschieben konnte. Die mitgelieferten Kabel helfen einem aus, wenn man sowohl alte als auch neue Anschlüsse in Bezug auf die USB-Verbindung hat an seinen Endgeräten. Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich mit der SSD sehr zufrieden und kann sie zum Createn von Content in Form von ProRes-Videos, als auch zum Datenmanagement empfehlen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid drive (no pun intended). Seriously, this drive is a champ. I have the T5 and it too is a workhorse. It's the reason I bought the T7. Transfers are quick. It is compact and dependable. I have had other drives, but these are speedy and reliable. I've had the T7 since 2020, and the T5 since 2018. I use my T5 for graphics and my T7 for music and videos. Love my drives. Looking to upgrade here soon because I need more space.

[Diese Bewertung wurde im Rahmen einer Werbeaktion gesammelt.] Die SSD T7 ist eine sehr kompaktet, handliche portable Festplatte, die ich regelmässig statt eines Speichersticks benutze. Dabei gefällt mir besonders die Handlichkeit sowie problemlose Möglichkeit mit meinen diversen Geräten: Es ist problemlos mit meinen Tablets und dem Handy nutzbar und verbraucht sehr wenig Strom - zumindest habe ich bislang keine sonderliche Belastung des Akkus feststellen können. Dabei ist es sehr einfach in der Einrichtung, nämlich "Plug&Play" - reinstöpseln und schon wird das Speichermediumg als solches erkannt. Hinzu kommt, dass es sehr rasch in der Datenübertragung ist. Da sind ein paar Gibabyte in kurzer Zeit transferiert. Sei es bei meiner regelmässigen Sicherung des Notebooks oder beim Transfer von Fotos und Videos vom Handy auf die SSD. Hinzu kommen die kompakten Abmessungen im schlanken Metallgeäuse und das geringe Gewicht.

Ich habe die externe SSD fürs Gaming an meinem Laptop gekauft, da die eingebaute leider nicht sehr groß ist. Die Festplatte ist so groß (klein) wie eine Kreditkarte, schmal und nimmt kaum Platz weg. Von der Geschwindigkeit beim Spielen und den Ladebildschirm-Zeiten merke ich keinen Unterschied zur eingebauten SSD Platte. Sie sieht und fühlt sich zudem hochwertig an. Würde sie jederzeit empfehlen und wieder kaufen.

Är super nöjd med denna disk, och den är snabb. Jag använder den till mina tv apparater för att se gamla inspelade serier och filmer. Den fungerar alldeles utmärkt till båda mina samsung tv's. Den ena tv'n är en Samsung 49" 4K UHD Smart TV UE49MU6475 från 2017 och den andra är en Samsung 65" Q80B 4K QLED Smart TV QE65Q80BATXXC från 2022. Jag letade efter info om det skulle fungera eller inte med hårddisk och vilken storlek som fungerar eller inte fungerar till mina tv apparater. Alla svar har varit så osäkra och otydliga. Men för mig fungerar denna disk på 1TB alldeles utmärkt MEN jag har ju samsung tv, det är inte säkert att det fungerar på andra märken eller årsmodeller, bara ett tips. Jag har en usb kabel mellan disken och tv och strömförsörjningen räcker fast den enligt vad som står inte skulle göra det. Hoppas att det kan hjälpa flera som undrar så som jag har gjort.

I had numerous problems with getting it to work. Plus every time I went to use it, I was forced to an extremely timely login procedure to gain access to it. She owns a MacBook and her storage was just about done across three different sources. I was able to easily get SSD set up on the MacBook using the software, then just consolidated everything onto the T7. It's made everything less frustrating, quicker, and more convenient with her cloud storage available again.

[Diese Bewertung wurde im Rahmen einer Werbeaktion gesammelt.] Die Samsung SSD T7 mit 1 TB in der Farbe Titan Gray kam kompakt verpackt und mit zwei USB-Kabeln (USB-Kabel Typ-C auf C und Typ-C auf A) an. Durch das USB-Kabel fließen dann nicht nur die Daten, sondern damit wird das Gerät auch mit Strom versorgt. Die SSD ist kaum größer als eine Kreditkarte, leicht und auch die Haptik macht durch das Metallgehäuse richtig was her! Für den mobilen Einsatz ist sie also bestens gerüstet. Ich persönlich bringe damit Daten (Fotos, Dokumente oder Musik) von A nach B. Die Datenflussgeschwindigkeit habe ich nicht gemessen, aber für meine Belange reicht sie allemal aus. Die Einrichtung an meinem iMac war denkbar einfach. Nur einstecken und schon konnte man loslegen. Die SSD ist mir verschiedenen Geräten und unterschiedlichen Betriebssystemen kompatibel. Auch bietet Samsung eine einfache, zuverlässige Software zur Verwaltung und zur Datensicherung an. Das macht das Paket endgültig rund!

Connection to my desktop was USB 3.1. the transfer was very fast. Now connected to the shield pro, videos and music play perfectly with no stutter or wait time. I will be buying another for use as additional internal storage for the shield.

Bought this T2 2TB portable drive to use with my DJ controller and it works flawlessly. Makes it easy to move it from my PC, where I download my new tracks, to my controller so I can add the tracks to the mix. Just the perfect size where it's big (and red) enough to prevent losing it on my desk or in a drawer somewhere. I just recommended it to my other deejay buddy.

i love samsungs internal ssd drives, and i was looking forward to using this. however, the software turned out to be buggy and very unreliable. i setup the drive and set a password. i saved the password, logged out and then back in without issue. i then safely ejected the drive via windows. when i went to use it next, samsungs software refused to accept the password.

Love Samsung products and this is yet another example of the quality products they produce. Super fast SSD, looks great and has awesome security features. Plug n Play works great. Using on my PS5 as external storage and load times for PS4 games has been dramatically reduced! Recommended if you're lucky enough to have a PS5 like me! :) buy it. You won't regret it.

Voorheen gebruikte ik altijd externe HDD's voor het opslaan van data. Normaliter is dit prima. Nu wilde ik echter een backup maken van vrij veel data voor een herinstallatie, en het heeft zo ontzettend lang geduurd voordat al deze data eindelijk eens weggeschreven was... Met deze externe SSD heb ik daar geen last meer van! Kopiëren van data gaat nu veel sneller! Vooral folders met veel kleine bestandjes wisten mijn HDD op zijn knieën te krijgen, maar niet deze SSD! Ook het formaat is veel kleiner dan ik dacht! Ongeveer ter grootje van een pasje, maar dan iets dikker. Super makkelijk mee te nemen dus! Ook ben ik niet meer bang om het ding mee te nemen in mijn tas, iets dat toch altijd wel knaagde met mijn HDD's, vanwege de bewegende delen en de gevoelige aard van HDD's. Vorig jaar had ik een Samsung Portable SSD T7 van 1tb gekocht voor het backuppen van grote Final Cut library's op mijn MacBook Pro. Geen moment spijt van gehad. Het schijfje weegt bijna niks, is klein, en heeft een ontzettend snelle overdracht snelheid. Nu ik opnieuw geheugen tekort kwam, was een keuze voor een tweede schijfje (deze keer van 2tb) snel gemaakt!

Het is een harddisk die eenvoudig aan te sluiten is op de device. Ook het uitlezen en ordenen van de bestanden op de disk is eenvoudig. Het is een heerlijk idee dat belangrijke fotos en bestanden veilig en goed zijn opgeslagen. Een aanrader voor iedereen die foto's maakt en deze na jaren nog wil terug zien, of bestanden die veilig bewaard moeten worden.

Another reminder why Samsung is an unparallelled leader in NAND Flash silicon, firmware and ASIC design. Extremely happy with my 2TB T7 SSD. Transferred a 3GB file from my modest Galaxy S22 to the T7..... Seven seconds! And that's not cheating-it's-only-in-RAM-cache 7 seconds, that's actually stored in the NAND Flash. Incredible. I love Samsung product.

Sie ist sehr leicht und besitzt ein handliches Format und eignet sich somit perfekt für unterwegs. Ik had al de variant met 1TB. Maar doordat hij goed was, zat hij zo vol. Daarom deze ter uitbreiding gekocht. Echt fijn dat er twee soorten (goede) snoertjes bij zitten. Ik gebruik deze i.c.m. met een MacBook (en vooral voor FCPX). Prijs blijft echt hoog, maar na een gecrashte variant van ander fabricaat ben ik gewoon weer terug bij deze.

Hi, I have used Samsung SSD on MacBook Pro (MBP) for several years now and have upgraded to a new MBP with macOS Catalina. Now the software does not work and the SSDs are not working. Would love to give this SSD five stars for its great design and speed. But that must be averaged with a one star rating for the software side of things. The Samsung software in/with the unit seems a buggy bunch of bloatware and I finally just had to delete all of it and just format the drive directly from the macOS operating system.

This is exactly what I needed for my sound sample libraries. Anyone with speed issues is either 1. Using a poor cable 2. Using a socket that is not usb 3.2. Copying my library to z 7200hdd usually takes several hours. This did it in less than 20minutes. Load times greatly improved. This drive is not 1000Gb it is 1Tb still plenty.

DE: egy kis szakmai tanács, figyelni kell a kábellel, csak jó minőségű és max. 80cm hosszig legyen, inkább egy drágább, de minőségi, ellenkező esetben nem fogja tudni a kiírt teljesítményt. Több mérést is végeztem, különbözö kábelekkel, nem írhatok nevet és típust, de nekem sikerült 980MB/s, SZUPER!!!

Top product en handig,qua prestaties is dit een absolute topper. De snelheden liggen rond de 1.000 MB/s, en dat merk je meteen bij het overzetten van grote bestanden – foto’s, video’s of zelfs complete projectmappen gaan razendsnel. Ook bij langdurig gebruik blijft de snelheid stabiel en wordt de SSD nauwelijks warm.

Ik gebruik deze op mijn werk en heb hem nu ook privé aangeschaft. Werkt heel snel en ik vind het een betrouwbaarder systeem dan een externe HDD. De USB aansluiting en de kabel zijn stevig en ik plak 'm makkelijk aan mijn laptop vast als ik op locatie tethered aan het fotograferen ben. Heel fijn!

Als Systemadministrator, der auf zuverlässige und schnelle Speicherlösungen angewiesen ist, kann ich sagen, dass die T7 meine ansprüchen entspricht. Die Verarbeitung ist gut und sie lässt sich gut transportieren , da leicht und klein mit nur 72 gramm für das TB. Beim Kopieren von grossen Daten werden mit meinem USB 3.2 Anschluss die von Hersteller angegebenen Werte fast erreicht. Die Hardwareverschlüsselung ist in sofern Praktisch weil ich auch sensible Daten wie Passwörter oder andere informationen sicher transportieren kann und damit bei verlust nicht gefahr laufe das die Daten gelesen werden können. Die T7 Ist kompatibel mit vielen Geräten, ich hatte Sie sowohl am PC , der NAS Station und einem Android-Smartphone im einsatz. Preis-Leistungs war OK , sie ist für jeden Anwender eine lohnende Investition und Bilder oder mp3 dateien und Filme oder Installer lassen sich prima und zügig abspeichern.

This product is the worse SSD in the market. It last about three weeks then it starts to over heat. It begins to crash programs that are on the drive also don’t try to back up anything over 75gbs you will get transfer interruption please try again while it’s half way through.

The compact design and aluminium case is nice. It’s also nice it’s bundled with two cables to suit all devices. However I can’t help but think the device is a little slow. Reading is fast but writing large chunks seems bottlenecks. More so from USB 3 but it really shouldn’t.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Portable SSD T7 in October 2024 and I am very pleased with it. I haven't had any issues at all, it's very fast and to this day seems very reliable. When I am in the market for another SSD backup drive, I will definitely purchase another Samsung USB Drive.

This SSD is way much better than my old hard drives, much faster and the quality of the saved pictures and videos are 100% better than my old hard drives.
