Director of Software R&D
Risman has more than 17 years IT industry experiences with theoretical physics background. He started his career as scientific programmer at University of Indonesia’s semiconductor lab then later worked as software engineer and architect in various software companies.
He joined SRIN in 2014 to lead development of various mobile apps and middleware platforms, as well as to incubate research projects on predictive data analytic using deep machine learning technologies. Prior to SRIN, he spent 10 years at Microsoft Indonesia as Director of Developer Ecosystem (DX) division. Risman is well known figure in Indonesia IT community and actively contributing to local developer ecosystem as programming guru, startup mentor, technology writer and speaker.
His passion is growing people and to enable them achieving organization goals. He established SRIN Academy program for algorithm, C++ programming and data science that already available for public. Outside work, Risman spends most of time with his family and actively drives SRIN communities for swimming, free diving and traditional archery. He is #1 winner of SRIN internal archery tournament and has strong ambition to represent Indonesia in world championship.

Andy is an established planner and strategist that has more than 16 years of ICT experience in the region. At SRIN, Andy manages the Service Innovation Group which oversees 4 Labs: IP&KM, Product-UX-PMO, SQE & B2B Innovation Lab. He joined in 2013 to develop an R&D service portfolio and built SRIN’s scope of engagement to regional and global R&D projects.
Before joining SRIN Andy has been involved in Strategic Planning, Product Development, Marketing and Operations in multiple ICT companies in the e-commerce, digital services, mobile telecommunications, and B2B solutions industries.
His passion in contributing to the Indonesian e-commerce industry got Andy active in establishing the Indonesian e-Commerce Association back in 2012 and continues to be active in the digital marketing and e-commerce communities. His biggest passion now is in developing people in his team to spearhead and lead new areas of business and services for Samsung in region. And this includes developing himself as he pursues a research degree in management.
To keep balance in life, Andy enjoys fun in SRIN’s running, swimming, cycling and archery clubs. His next goal is to reach the peak of Mount Rinjani with SRIN’s adventure club!
Alfred is an experienced senior management who has implemented changes to answer business and technology needs across a number of areas in the Software R&D and Telecommunication sectors. Alfred also an Adjunct Professor in University of Chicago Graduate School of Business - Asia Campus, he holds degrees from University of Indonesia, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, RIT and UC Booth School of Business.
His postdoctoral research focuses on examining the neuro-statisical approach in derivatives financial exchange with combination of multi layered market sentiment. In SRIN, Alfred’s interest and training in technology research for cognitive socio-behavior and machine learning area Outside SRIN, he is also advisor for Polsky Center of Entrepreneurship in the University of Chicago, while enjoying organization activities like biking, archery and cooking in his free times.

Samsung Pay QR Service Launched in Indonesia
Samsung R&D Indonesia (SRIN) proudly present the launch of Samsung Pay services in Indonesia. Samsung Pay is a service that helps to do payments faster using digital wallets that are already partnering with Samsung. Developed in house by SRIN, Samsung Pay takes a localized approach by integrating the existing payment infrastructure and partnering with the mobile wallet platform DANA, backed by ANT Financial. More digital payment platforms will be added in the near future to expand Samsung Pay service in Indonesia. As a technology company, we are committed to always provide innovation in every service and product.

ACIIDS 2019 - Jogjakarta
The 11th Asian Conference on Intelligent Information and Database Systems (ACIIDS) was held on 8-11 April 2019 in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. Mr. Alfred Boediman, Vice President of SRIN, delivered his keynote on “Deep Learning Accelerator: Challenges and Solutions for Setting-up Model Optimization for On-Device AI”. ACIIDS aims to provide an internationally respected forum for scientific research in the technologies and applications of intelligent information and database systems. The conference was hosted by BINUS University (Indonesia), and jointly organized by Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland), and cooperating with IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence, European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS), and several Universities. The proceedings of ACIIDS 2019 will be published by Springer in series Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence LNCS/LNAI.
Software Architecture Conference 2019 - Jakarta
The Software Architecture Conference 2019 will be held in Jakarta, on August 2-3 2019. Mr. Risman Adnan, Samsung R&D Indonesia’s Director of Software, is one of the keynote speakers. He will be sharing his views and experience in software development in the AI and IoT fields. Having been in the R&D industry in Indonesia for more than 6 years, SRIN realized that Indonesia has all the potential to become one of the strongest countries to contribute in the global R&D industry. The US Patent Office Has Published SRIN's Third Patent Application For Anomaly Detection
The patent application publication, (No. US 2018/0183823 A1), entitled "Apparatus for detecting anomaly and operating method for the same" was published in June 28, 2018. The application is to patent a system for detecting an anomaly using devices such as smartphone, desktop, wearable devices or IoT devices. This publication is SRIN's third patent application that has been published by the US Patent Office. The first one was published in 2014 for chat summarization method, and the second one was published in 2016 for trust management.
BEKRAF Development Day (BDD) 2018 Event - Surabaya & Makassar
To continuously expand SRIN's capabilities and focus in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) area, SRIN has collaborated with Indonesia's gov't and contributed in an event organized by BEKRAF (Badan Ekonomi Kreatif Indonesia), titled BEKRAF Development Day, as a speaker in the AI topic. The event is held in Surabaya on July 01 2018, attended by a total of 1030 developers, and Makassar on August 04 2018, attended by 1000 developers. SRIN is represented by Junaidillah Fadlil, Head of AI Lab, in Surabaya, and Risman Adnan, Director of Software R&D Lab Group, in Makassar. SRIN could utilize the BEKRAF event to secure Indonesia's developer ecosystem and also introduce SRIN capabilities in the AI Area. BEKRAF (Badan Ekonomi Kreatif - Creative Economy Agency) is a non-ministerial gov't agency formed in 2015 by Indonesia's President, tasked to handle the development of creative economy, which also covers the digital industry and application development in Indonesia.
SRIN Commemorates One Year Ongoing Collaboration With University Of Indonesia
Back in 2017, University of Indonesia (UI) and SRIN has signed an agreement for a research collaboration activity to welcome the Big Data era. This collaboration will be a platform for information exchange related to the advancement of ICT. The signing took place during the opening ceremony of the International Workshop on Big Data & Information Security 2017 (IWBIS), held in Jakarta (23/9). The signing was represented by Mirna Adriani, Ph. D, the Dean of Computer Science faculty of UI, and Alfred Boediman, Vice President of SRIN. IWBIS is organized by UI to bring Academics and IT experts from Indonesia & Other countries to share the latest tech. development/discussions in Big Data and Security. Samsung is the first foreign company in Indonesia, who has successfully formed collaboration w/ Academia & Gov't to focus on Big Data Analytics research with focus in Telehealth area.
Samsung Developer Challenge & Bootcamp 2018
Samsung has kicked off the Samsung Developer Challenge 2018. Samsung Developer Challenge brings together developers, technologists, business leaders, innovators, designers, and content creators to network and learn about the newest Samsung Mobile Technology and compete in developing a solution on top of Samsung mobile devices. The winners of the challenge will receive grand prize, benefits and incentives. Registration is open until August 2018. Proposal submission period will be on September & November, and evaluation will take place on December 2018. As part of the Challenge, SRIN has conducted the Samsung Developer Bootcamp in Bogor on 9-11 Aug, a three days training event providing deep-dive training on Samsung Mobile Technology, packed with technical talks, hands-on labs and thought leader panels.
SRIN - Lunar New Year 2018 Celebration
This month, SRIN employees celebrated Lunar New Year 2018 together. We tried our luck by plucked one Hangbao hanging on the Money Tree! This tree provided by SRIN Management for all SRIN colleagues as symbol of health and prosperity in this Dog Year. All employees were really looked forward to this tree. They were lined up cheerfully for their turn to pluck.
SRIN - Blood Donation Mar 2018
This month, SRIN worked together with Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) to bring these events close to the donors. On that day, we are received 46 blood bags from total 80 participants, 34 donors were rejected due to fitnes issue.

SRIN and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) on Saturday - Sunday, March 17 - 18 held a whole-day job fair for seekers who looking for Data Analyst and Software Engineers position. Our team received 369 CV's trough online and offline, there are 56 CV's which passed the screening for Global Software Engineer and 94 CV's for Data Analyst.Beside with ITB, SRIN also have partnership with Bina Nusantara Computer Club (BNCC) for Career Day.
SRIN - Annual Medical Check Up April 2018
SRIN and our medical checkup third party, Prodia held Annual Medical Check Up on this month. The selected employees should fasting before start the examination day. This is yearly event for all employees to check their fitness.
SRIN - Sport Club Activities
New year and new activities, start in 2017 we re-active sports club in SRIN such as Basketball, Futsal, Badminton, Swimming and Ping Pong. We belive with sport will comes healthy mind, body, and soul. In other words, better focus, better spirit and more contribution.
SRIN - Music Corner
SRIN office now provides music at work! Management provides various acoustic music instruments, such as guitar, Cajon and percussion placed on our onsite cafetaria for all employees to enjoy, we call it the Music Corner. This facility provided as part of our Great Work Place Program. Here, employees may learn to play the instruments or playing in a jam session at lunch time / after office hour.
SRIN - B2B Tech Workshop 2017
This year, SRIN hosted SEA B2B tech. Workshop on 30-31 March 2017 in Bali, indonesia.
This workshop attended by five (5) countries; TSE (Thailand), SME (Malaysia), SAVINA (Vietnam, SAPL (Singapore), SEA RHQ, including SRIN subsidiary (SEIN). In this opportunity, SRIN's sharing topic was about KNOX update, B2B product update and B2B software update. This event was very inspiring for SRIN also as all the participants shared their experience in B2B realm.
SRIN - Vacation Day 2017
On September 2017, SRIN went to Anyer beach for SRIN Vacation Day and Annual Town Hall meeting. The gathering, or we call it 'Vacation Day' started with Fun Games session and continued with Night Event where all employees bonding and we had "SRIN Got Talent" Winner performed for all of us. At the second day, the event was closed by Annual Town Hall Meeting where SRIN Management share and remind our vision-mission, plants and targets throughout this year. All employees were truly had fun thus hopefully this program will raise great spirit for all SRIN employees finish this year with excelent achievement.
SRIN - Year End Gathering 2017
On December 2017, we held a monochrome-theme Year End gathering. This session was opened with SRIN's highlight throughout the year, the challenges we're about to face in 2018, and strategy from our VP and Directors. After the opening, we had exciting door prizes, and we had full band and singers from own employees to perform the entire night. Even our Dispatcher were so kind to perfom a song in bahasa (Indonesia language)! This was trully a fine night to mark the end of this
