How to deactivate demo mode in my refrigerator?

Demo mode (also called Exhibition mode, Cooling Off mode, or Shop mode) is usually used in a situation where a refrigerator is displayed at a retail shop. This is to allow consumers to freely explore the inside and outside of the product. In Demo mode, the refrigerator lights up and appears to be working. However, the cooling function is disabled, and the control panel turns on but does not work.

 

If there is no cooling in the refrigerator or you can see the "O FF" or "OF OF" sign on the display, check if the refrigerator is in "Demo mode". If you want to deactivate demo mode, follow the instructions in the following guide.

General refrigerator (except Family Hub)

Step 1. Press and hold Button 1 and Button 2 at the same time until you hear a chime.

Note: Button 1 and 2 - The button at the position marked with the number 1 and 2 in the image shown above.

Step 2. If the Demo mode is not turned off after the above operation, press and hold Button 1, Button 2, and Button 4 at the same time until you hear a chime.

Step 3. Check the current temperature on the display when Demo mode is deactivated.

Note: The information on the display may vary depending on the country and/or refrigerator model, but the location of the button to be pressed is the same.

Family Hub

Step 1. Tap Apps, open the Fridge Manager app, and then tap Fridge Settings.

Step 2. Tap Cooling off Deactivate and then tap Proceed.
