What is ISO Sensitivity of Camera in Samsung phones?
ISO or light sensitivity rating is an algorithmic value that indicates the camera’s specific sensitivity to light. ISO stands for International Standards Organization, and it is ISO rating that determine the final exposure of the image.
(Comparison of ISO Sensitivity of same image from different cameras)
Some striking features of ISO sensitivity are :
● The ISO rating, which ranges in value from 25 to 6400 (or beyond), indicates the specific light sensitivity.
● Lower the ISO rating, the less sensitive to light the image sensor is and therefore smoother the image, because there is less digital noise in the image.
● Higher the ISO rating (more sensitive), stronger the image sensor has to work to establish an effective image, which thereby produces more digital noise (those multi-colored speckles in the right image as shown above).
