After reading and listening to many reviews the Galaxy Book 4 Edge 16 X Elite was not my first choice based on price. I have nothing to gain when I say it is perfect in every way and worth every penny. Because I am bed bound it makes a fantastic workstation instead of a desktop. It's sleek, solid and sexy what more could you ask for? Nothing. I wish I could buy another samsung device.

The laptop is incredibly slim and has a good feel on the case as well as the keyboard and trackpad. When turning on it was fast and super quiet to boot up and the AMOLED 16” screen is huge and vibrant making any task easy to see and a pleasure to use. The processing power of the Snapdragon was good enough for me to run a few triple A games from good to top settings easy enough with not much loss of detail. For light gaming this is more than enough. The sound was loud and crisp. The battery so far lasts behind what I need as I usually am plugged in to a socket at my desk. The laptop has plenty of connectivity including 2 x USB 4 and a HDMI port. The added MicroSD card reader was handy but my SLR camera as full size SD so will have to keep using my USB adapter. Overall this looks like a top buy and with the specs should last a good while.

Just got this laptop and very impressed. Sometimes it is worth spending a little extra to get something which is class. Just love it so far, super quick and the extra large track pad has enabled me to ditch a plug in mouse for the first time ever. Not surprised it has been voted best oled laptop overall on some sites. It is light and portable but the 16-inch display still provides generous real estate within which to work and play. 2. The keyboard also provides ample room with which to type comfortably. They keys are comfortably positioned with great travel and the satisfying "thunk". My only complaint with using the keyboard is the trackpad is too large leading to several erroneous touches when typing. 3. The ARM processor is notably faster and performs far better than my similarly spec'd x86 laptops. I do have some issues with some software applications (looking at you Google) however, I am certain that in time almost everything will eventually support this architecture. 4. The marketing material promised a 22 hours of continuous video playback - although not experience specifically myself, I have no qualms about opening the device and being ready to work. That I can use my Samsung fast charging plug with this device, my tablet and phone with the same cable is a huge bonus. 5. Fingerprint reader was a surprise bonus. I didn't expect the device to have a fingerprint reader built into the power button, but this has been a fantastic addition. All in all - anyone looking to a well spec's ARM laptop that should provide years of satisfaction, you cannot go wrong with this machine.

Unsurprisingly, given the origins of the latest Snapdragon processor, the Book 4 Edge is all about mobility. As light as some tablets, with an anti-reflective touchscreen and standby time lasting weeks - this is a travellers best friend. The ultra sized touchpad also adds to the sense that a lot of thought has gone into making this the most productive on-lap experience. The Edge offers a future proof package - with 500gb storage and 16gb RAM only the most avid of gamers need be concerned. It's great to see that the processor comes with enough AI smarts to be able to offer the full range of Co Pilot + features as Microsoft roll these out. Samsung has even thought ahead when it comes to connectivity, the WiFi 7 supported out of the box to support the fastest possible connection speeds for years to come. As with Samsung's broader laptop range, there is a comprehensive suite of tools from photo and video editing, to using your Samsung smartphone as a high quality webcam or wireless external hard drive! Overall the Book 4 Edge has surpassed my expectations from build quality, battery life, portability and productivity. These are early days for snapdragon chips with Windows 11, so the experience will just keep getting better!

This is thin and light weight with an impressive 15.6 - inch FHD screen. The images are vibrant and there are many ways to personalize your desktop with themes and colours of your choice. This has the Snapdragon X Plus processor making it seamless whilst multi-tasking your daily workload. This was very easy to set up and you are guided through the option to transfer your previous computers information across or set up as a new device. This will link to your phone if you want to as well. This also has the new Co-pilot AI companion to enhance your everyday life and work. An AI created by Microsoft to keep you company and help you out. Think of it as your go-to buddy who’s full of information and curious enough to keep the conversation going. This has been an exciting tool to explore and use. The battery life offers up to 26 hours of use before needing to recharge and the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge comes with a charger and cable. The computer has 1 USB port, 2 USB4 ports (Supports speeds up to 40 GB a sec and are not interchangeable with USBC cables), 1 HDMI port, a micro SD card reader and a headphone/mic port as well. One interesting thing to note is the size of the keyboard with large keys and the inclusion of a numeric keypad which is not commonly a feature of many laptops. All in all, this is a great device and the perfect choice to support all my home and business needs. I'm excited to continue using and finding new ways of working with Samsung Galaxy Book Edge 4. The color has been dubbed sapphire blue, which I guess has a slight hue but has nice sliver-ish finish that very appealing. The keyboard travel feels great, the big trackpad is great but I might suggest moving down the mouse speed. On this 16" model having a full size HDMI port is good, as ports are seemly disappearing now, also the two thunderbolt ports and regular USB port and headphone/mic jack gives the laptop multiple options for connections. The start up is real quick and the fingerprint reading power button makes access swift. The screen is a beauty, 2k AMOLED HDR with upscaling for SD content and the adaptive120hz refresh rate help apps using capable of using that look crisp. The sound is great, could maybe tab bit louder but definitely doesn't disappoint. Standard camera but clear enough for whatever you need it for. The mic is clear and picks up voice even while not being close to the laptop. If AI is your thing or something your looking into the copilot onboard has you covered, the AI also plays into the camera if you want to get all kinds of effects in there. Performance wise, works amazingly with multiple apps working on screen all at the same time, handle with ease. If gaming is thing, this laptop works well with it tested out Dragonball kakarot, plays smooth saw no dropped framerate even at high settings. More demanding games might be different but for some standard/casual gaming runs great. 512 storage can fill up but the micro SD card slot let you add some extra storage. Definitely a great option for anyone looking for something new.

With this in mind the battery seems to keep going great for on the go work.16gb ram is plenty for any task which is likely to be done, I’d say the 1TB version would be ideal if editing videos or images specially when using the stunning AMOLED 3k 120hrtz touch screen. Good for mid-range gaming not really for high end gaming but good for gaming on the go for a quick fix. Features Some of the stand out features • Copilot – Copilot AI is great for image generation and general AI tasks. Seems quick and get good results. Dedicated key on keyboard makes it even easier. • HDMI and usb A and c ports and an SD card reader. • Galaxy ecosystem – if you have a galaxy phone you ca easily share files and screen share and sync your phone as it integrates Samsung galaxy devices even smart things app • Finger print scanner • Amazing touch screen • Light and ultra-thin ideal for on the go Conclusion The Galaxy Book 4 Edge with the Snapdragon X processor stands out for its excellent connectivity, efficient performance, and enhanced battery life, all wrapped in a sleek, portable design. It is an ideal choice for users looking for a versatile laptop that excels in both work and entertainment. hopefully the recall feature will release soon as it could be a game changer, early reports are a September release. Whether this is watching content , working or editing. The Device is very powerful and can easily compare to some of the other top contenders in the market right now. However, I have found even in a normal use case scenario ( very light browsing etc and minimal apps open ) the Ram is 70% utilised . This has made it difficult in some cases to use power intensive applications / have the seamless experience I expected . ( Maybe something that can be sorted through future development and updates) One thing which I found really useful is the integration with Galaxy apps and other Samsung devices . I am easily able to transition between devices, pick up where I left off and share and move content easily without having to have a usb cable to hand. Battery life- I was slightly disappointed as I was not able to get close to the claimed 22 hours of battery life ( This might be possible if the device is used in lab like testing conditions with minimal usage , efficiency mode and lowest brightness) I'd say for an average real life user like myself, its closer to 8-9 hours with modest usage and maybe 5-6 hours with heavy usage /processing. - I have tried using the Copilot feature to help with tasks such as browsing the web, writing an email, helping me code SQL,VBA or CMD and it useful. It is fairly quick but doesn't always understand what I'm trying to get it to do so I do have to prompt is . ( I guess this will improve alongside development.) The not so Good! - No upgradeable Ram / Storage - After a few years, I always upgrade my Ram and SSD to help the device stay up and running . I feel the 512gb ssd will run short eventually and I'll have to dedicate one of the devices limited ports to an external drive. - I haven't ben able to update the device as of yet - Each time I try, it fails with a no internet connection error. ( A weird quirk where the network and internet page of the device tells me I'm not connected to any network , but the Wi-FI page tells me I am). - No included S-Pen / 360 hinge makes the touchscreen feature difficult to utilise - Massive trackpad- I feel this space could be used for a bigger Keyboard / another secondary display.
