Galaxy S8: How to back up to Samsung Cloud

It is recommended to keep your device backed up in case the device gets lost or stops working. You can manage the content that you want to store securely in Samsung Cloud.

You can back up your sensitive information and access it later. For this, you must sign in to your Samsung account to back up or restore data.

On the Settings screen, tap Settings > Cloud and accounts > Samsung Cloud. 

And, check the usage status of your Samsung Cloud storage, and sync, back up, and restore your data.


For steps on how to do this see below: 

1 Go into the Settings menu → Cloud and accounts.
2 Tap on Samsung Cloud.
3 Tap on Backup settings.
4 Select the content you wish to back up to Samsung Cloud. You can also choose to auto-backup your data to the Cloud.

Please Note:

 With auto-backup, your apps will be backed up once every 24 hours if the following conditions are met:

● Your phone is charging. 

● Your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. 

● The screen has been off for an hour.

5 Tap on Backup now.
6 Please wait a moment while the backup process begins.
7 The backup has been successfully completed now.
