How do I decrypt my phone with encrypted security notice?

With Android 9.0 (Pie) your mobile will automatically have a file-base encryption turned on if you have set up a lock PIN, pattern or passowrd.
This will cause the mobile to display "Your phone is encrypted for security. To start up your device...."
Once you have entered in the PIN, pattern or password, your mobile will then display "Phone is starting..."

If you are wanting this function to be removed as if takes too long to start up the mobile you are able to by following the below steps.


Disabling this feature on Galaxy S10 phonesClick to Expand
1 Open Settings on your mobile device.
2 Tap Biometrics and security.
3 Tap Other security settings.
4 Tap the switch next to Strong protection to disable encryption.
5 Enter your PIN, Password, or Pattern when prompted to confirm.

1 Open Settings on your mobile device.
2 Tap Biometrics and security.
3 Tap Secure startup.
4 Tap Do not require , then Tap Apply.
5 Enter your PIN, Password, or Pattern to confirm

Important information:
The additional security that comes with file-based encryption will make the boot process a little bit longer, but this will prevent any access to your personal information unless the device is unlocked.
