My device keeps on forgetting my paired Bluetooth units.

If your Galaxy device keeps forgetting the Bluetooth device it has previously paired with, your device may have an issue with its Firmware. It is essential to ensure that your device is on the latest version of the Android OS.


Follow the steps below to perform a software update:

Step 1: From the Home screen, tap on Apps.

Step 2: Tap on Settings.


Step 3: Tap on About device.


Step 4: Select Software update.


Step 5: Follow the prompts until asked to restart your device.


Step 6: Please try pairing your Bluetooth device to your device. If you have successfully established a connection to your device and is no longer forgetting the paired Bluetooth device, you do not need to proceed to the next step.

If the problem persists, we suggest that you perform a Factory Data Reset.

To perform a Factory Data Reset, follow the steps indicated below:

Step 1: Back up all your content using Samsung Smart Switch on your PC or onto an external SD card (Only applicable if supported on your device)


Step 2: From the Home screen, tap on Apps Settings.


Step 3: Select Back up and reset.

Step 4: Select Factory data reset.


Step 5: Tap Reset device.

Once you've reset your device, pair it again with your Bluetooth accessory. The exact steps needed for your specific device may vary slightly depending on the your Android OS Version you may be running.


Also, connectivity issues may also stem from your Bluetooth accessory. In these instances, first try to connect your Bluetooth device to another smartphone to check to see if the issue persists. If the connection is stable with another smartphone, please contact Samsung with the below details.
