I bought this monitor on 4th of July sale. This monitor is mindblowing the curve really makes it more immersive. The refresh rate is fantastic the picture is great, it just took some tweaking. Im coming from an oled because my oled had some dead pixels. Black Level in oled is unmatched but this monitor makes up for it in all other areas. I had the issue with the constant disconnecting and spinning wheel , apparently even though i was using a 8k hdmi cable that was the issue. I changed to cable that came in box and so far so good. features in this monitor are great its like having your own personal imax screen

When you're doing Full Screen Gaming, this Monitor Looks Just fantastic. We tested this Monitor on different PC setups and found that the 3080ti would fail using the display port and limited resolution settings when in Multiview. I was convinced the DP on this monitor was defective. We moved the Monitor to another Gaming PC with a 3090FTW and the Display Port worked perfectly (4k@165) so far. IN Multi View we could get 4k 120hz using the DP. I would recommend this Monitor for someone who does not have a TV in the room this would fill the void giving you a great TV with all the well-known apps, and a Full Screen Gaming Monitor. If you are a Work Home person who needs Multiple Screens I would not recommend this for you due to the blur in the Text when using Multi-view on more than one computer IE: ( PC and Mac ). although you can do 1080p on 4 Screens the text is not clear. And it is just math if you take 4k and break it into 4 views it is only going to be 1080 on each one, but one would expect at least clear text. Gaming this is a great Monitor, Watching TV pictures is just perfect. Production work is very difficult to use. I would love to compare this to the 57 Odyssey but missed the Cyber Monday sales.

Will update review pending service repair/replacement. Worked great, good brightness and even colour and very good for work and gaming. I love the monitor when it works. But that was when I was limited to a DP1.4 device and 120Hz. Just upgraded to an DP2.1 graphics card and certified 54GB cable and at first all seemed good but after the screen warms up there is a dimmed 2inch line down the centre of the screen when running 240Hz full resoltion 10Bit HDR. Line goes away when screen cools down, and reducing resoltion or refresh rate or switching to an laptop on HDMI does not get rid of it until the screen turns off and cools down first. Problem only showed up after I was able to finally run the monitor at it's full potential, so I highly recommend you have the ability to run it with an display port 2.1 device for a bit of a stress test to make sure it a works correct. Easily could have run under the radar and would not be good to find out down the road after the warranty expires. If you're will to test and deal with potential RMA till you get a good monitor, and have a powerful enough computer this is a good monitor when it goes on sale with one of its epic sales.

Was super stoked to get this monitor but after 5 days of usage, the monitor started to develop stuck pixels in the lower left center of the monitor. One of the pixels is a harsh white and the other red. It's noticeable in a variety of scenarios from work to gaming and was extremely upsetting to see in such an expensive new monitor. I reached out to the Samsung support for 2-3 hours only for them to close the chat on me when trying to request an exchange/repair of my monitor. Not to mention I also have samsung care + on this product. The monitor is awesome but I cannot in good faith buy a Samsung display if this is how they treat their top customers on top end hardware.

This does not function as a game monitor, will not run any game above 60 hz on a PC. It took me about 1.5 hours to get the monitor to even project a consistent image, albeit after turning various Nvidia and game mode settings off (which reduces performance), and even then there was constant graininess and a meager 60 hz refresh rate. One of the most over-hyped, terribly constructed software monitors I’ve ever encountered. Never dealt with any graphics issues at all on any monitor until this. Running an RTX 3090 Samsung support is utterly unhelpful, claiming it is my PC that has the issue, when all over Samsung forums people are reporting the same issue. Terrible product, buyers beware

I love the Workspace option, as I can use like my current work monitor, but on steroids. The graphics are top notch and the 55" curved screen gives the perception that you are in the game. It takes up my peripheral vision an immerses me in the games to the point I feel like I am actually moving. The colors and graphics add to the realism of the experience. The One Connect box allows for 4 HDMI connections, which is more than enough. I thought the set up was going to be long and involved, but I was pleasantly surprised that was not the case. The set up was super quick and easy. The set up wizard that Samsung offers allows you to easily set up and customize to your likings. This is a gamers dream and one gaming screen I would highly recommend.

The curved screen helps a lot and adds more immersion. Curved screens are a must for a screen this size. I think you'll need to sit close to 3 ft away to really see everything on the screen. I have it connected to a PC with a RTX 4090, and I've had no issues with dropouts or odd screen artifacts at 4k, 165hz. The colors are vibrant and blacks are good for gaming and watching videos. HDR can cause some issues with washed colors or blurred text after watching something in HDR. I had to turn HDR off and on to fix. With the size of the screen and it being curved, it is a luxury to have many windows opened and see everything clearly. This would help those who have to sit in front of a monitor several hours a day. Text is fairly sharp in HDMI. I would definitely recommend this monitor to heavy PC users.

Loved the packaging of the product and also loved how easy it was to set up. Took a few minutes and it was ready to go. Was very happy with the swivel arm (you can do portrait and landscape) and it took seconds to put the arm on and the stand. Liked the Samsung Smart Hub, as it allowed me to set it up for everything. BIG time GAMER (ready for PS, PS5 and XBOX Series 5) and went right to the flight simulator and felt like I was in a cockpit flying a plane. The screen is crazy good and you actually felt as if you were a pilot flying the plane. The speakers made me feel like I was actually in a seat taking off in the plane. Speakers are crazy awesome and the lighting sets off the complete experience. Going to let all of my buddies know that we all need the ARK as we game at night. Samsung - kudos for another product that sets new standards in gaming. This product is just AWESOME!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very heavy and very huge. Make sure you have strong people to help you move it off the ground on to your desk. The monitor comes with one HDMI 2.1 cable and one DisplayPort 1.4 cable so you don't need to buy extra. I currently use the HDMI 2.1 cable and connect through RTX 4090 on my PC. I have game mode on and HDR off. Text is sharp, colors bold, blacks are good. You will need to calibrate as I don't think it was best out of the box. I have the color tone set to Natural. Resolution is 4k at 165hz. I lowered the monitor to its lowest setting on the base, and the monitor is still a bit too high for me. I would need to get put my chair on a riser so that I could view the monitor more in the middle of the screen. So take that in consideration of the desk height you have. I have to look up a lot from my seat. I wish you could lower it all the way to the bottom of the base. I had 40 inch curved Samsung TV used as my monitor before and knew I wanted another curved monitor. Samsung is the only one that makes large curved monitors so I knew this would be perfect for me. And the curve on this monitor is more pronounced so you do get a bit more immersion for playing games. See my pictures of the monitor I had before versus now. Will update as I spend more time with the monitor including multiple inputs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing monitor. The colors pop, and the blacks are nice and inky. I have used this monitor for both gaming and working. Being able to split the screen into multiple inputs at the same time was great. I was able to use my computer for work while having a show on it as well. I also like that you can custom size and place your inputs on the screen. This came especially in handy since the monitor didn't go low enough on the stand to be comfortable. The speakers in this blew me away. The sound was loud, clear, and had a good punch to them. I was shocked at how good they were. I didn't even bother to plug in my computer speakers that I normally use since these were so good. I tried rotating the screen to use it in the portrait mode. The monitor seems so huge arcing over you like that. But, looks so cool. I was able to work on the bottom 1/3 and use the top 2 for other inputs. I would have been more likely to do this more often if it wasn't so hard for me to rotate it. That really is my only complaint is that the stand isn't quite there for a monitor of this caliber. I would. have expected it to rotate easier and allow the display to go lower on the stand. I tried using this monitor for my consoles as well. It worked great for that. Having the external input box made plugging different things in so much easier. I didn't have to try to move the monitor around or even reach around feeling like I have with my previous monitors or even tv's. Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this monitor.

The curved screen makes a huge difference in the gaming experience, driving is awesome and playing soccer is also better compared to a flat screen. We wanted a multi-purpose screen use for TV, gaming, and productivity but something top tier like my Living Room TV. As the title suggests, one might wonder what this is? A Monitor or TV or Both? The setup follows the same process as the current Samsung TV lineup. Highly recommend using the Samsung Smart-Things App and add this beast to my existing products for easy management. It was very quick and easy with no technical experience required. The remote is super slim, rechargeable via a solar panel on the back or type C charger. At 55” and 16:9 ratio, this is huge for a monitor BUT with the 1000R curve it really takes you in and is super immersive sitting around 2.5 to 5 ft away. There is little need for head movement. As it is a Quantum Mini-LED with a superfast 165Hz (120Hz in Multiview) and 1ms (GTG) response, the picture really feels buttery smooth and natural. It has HDR 10+ capability to give you great depth and very accurate DCI-P3 color coverage too. Exact specs not known at the time of writing this review. The Ark is color calibrated and tuned from the factory. The Cockpit Mode is an interest one. Certainly not expected on something so large but they did it. The stand was made beefy and heavy to support the panel, but you do not notice it after a while. Horizontally you can view four screens and vertically three. Please note only one HDMI input at a time. We evaluated gaming on the Xbox via HDMI and YouTube on the next while having a web browser showing. The Ark Dial is something of a first and is like having a natural, easily accessible way to accessing the screens functions for Multi View, Flex Move Screen, Game Bar and Quick Settings. It is premium feeling and tactile. The Ark Dial also includes the ability to charge by solar or via type C like the remote. The sound quality is just phenomenal. I have never heard crisp, clean bass and treble from a TVs built-in speaker set. Perfectly balanced lows and highs. It has six speakers. Four in the corners and two woofers with Dolby Atmos and Sound Dome Technology for a surround sound feel, there is no need for a sound bar. Overall, seeing this screen, its versatile in my ways and really works well as an all-in-one TV, Gaming Monitor and Workstation Monitor. I will continue to evaluate as this has so much to offer. The overall build is premium and high quality.

Back before this 55" beauty came into my life, I had 3 gaming monitors sprawled out on my desk in my office. One would be hooked up to my gaming console; another was simply for live video streaming while gaming; and the third was used if I wanted to watch other gamers with their live feeds, or to search up information on games or levels I was on. My desk was too cluttered, and the picture quality and sound of my old gaming monitors really wasn't anything to go woohoo about. But, once I said goodbye to my old monitors and welcomed the Samsung Odyssey Ark 55” Curved Gaming Screen into my life and gaming experience, everything changed. There are so many stand out features of this curved gaming screen, and I could write for hours about them all in detail...but, I wanted to highlight a few standouts: 1. It offers multi screen capability; it's like having 3 high definition monitors in one. As a gamer, I can play my favorite games such as FIFA 2022 while also listening to my favorite music videos in the YouTube app, as well as watching my favorite feeds on Discord -- all effortlessly done and without glitching or compromised sound or picture quality. No lagging here when utilizing multi-screen view. 2. For full immersion when playing first person shooting games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, I simply rotate the screen horizontally; The curve screen feature of this gaming screen makes the game come alive and makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of the action. No other gaming monitor I have used offers this feeling. 3. Another nice feature is the adaptive LEDs in the back of the TV. The color of the lights reflect the scenery of the video game you are playing. This is something I always wanted to have, but it would have required additional expensive hardware and some wizardry to get them to work in unison. This feature effortlessly happens without you needing to do anything, which I really like. 4. Lastly, I love the two remote controls. One is made for when I just want to kick back and watch a flick, while the wheel based remote is useful for navigating between screens. The nice thing for me is that these controllers are solar light powered! No more scrambling trying to replace batteries. These controllers charge themselves by the natural light in your room! Paired with a Samsung Sound bar, it's an experience! Still, the shortcomings are present: whenever you're on PC and you change resolution, it really has to take 10 seconds to come back up. This is frequent if you're playing full screen games like overwatch or The Finals. Also, sometimes it has a flicker issue, where toggling the resolution between 60 and 160Hz resets the monitor sometimes. All in all, get the 1st gen as open box if you can find it. Best to mount it somewhere, as eventually I'd get a wall mount for it or a strong enough desk that can be a standing desk.

The ultrawide curved screen is incredibly immersive, perfect for both gaming and productivity. The colors are vibrant and the image quality is crisp. The 55 inch is GREAT for gaming but I gave it 4 stars only because as a PC monitor, it is very very bad. It definitely is not a monitor having just HDMI connectivity which completely takes away from the use of the full graphics card. I was VERY disappointed when it came to that section of the device. Other than that, as a gaming TV, it is the best of the best. Tue curve is a monster and the fact of its size and quality picture for gaming is unmatched! I wish it was set up to be a monitor. I am waiting for tue 57 inch one which has a DisplayPort connection. Now that is what I am talking about!!

Visually (as an independent gaming monitor or for streaming) it is awesome. But, as a hybrid (trying to do both at the same time), average. You can not multi-view more than one HDMI source at a time. When I have tried to have my PS5 and then ApplePlay simultaneously in split screen, there is allot of stuttering and it is unusable. You also can not have 4k in any multi-screen configuration. So, despite these drawbacks, I will not go through the hassle of returning it. Primarily because I truly wanted it for single screen gaming. Therefore, 3 stars for the actual value of this product.

The refresh rate is so much faster than I expected. I watched some nature shows on the screen and it didn't disappoint. I really enjoy the bright colors and vibrancy of the output. It comes with two remotes and a one connect box which makes it easier to connect the monitor to gaming consoles and my pc. I have had to move farther back from it to be able to see the whole thing, and really appreciate the ability to divide it up into separate sectors with different inputs. I have had it for only a week, and keep discovering more features. The picture is very clear, setup was straightforward...but you will need two people. It is a beast at over 100 lbs. The pedestal and backing are very heavy. Make sure that you have a desk that can support it. I've played a few games and experienced no ghosting. This thing is amazing and would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Odyssey Ark for a range of uses, from multitasking 4 different screen doing graduate research and writing, it enables me to access all the info I need at the same time and not having to switch between live screens. The extra Ambient Mode features are just so immersive and create a truly expansive environment. Just wish Samsung would permit you to download new or optional Ambient Mode features and live screens. Also, offer the option to expand Ambient Mode on older Samsung Smart TVs. Ambient Mode is such a great feature of which Samsung should significantly expand and focus upon. Overall, I would like to see an 8K Odyssey Ark 55' or 60" and keep pushing the envelope in this regard and aspect.

I'm using 3 setups for it. in vertical mode I'm using it for work because I can pretty much simulate 3-4 monitors on it plus in addition to 2 other monitors that I have which sets me up with about 6 monitors. And, finally, I get enough space for all the apps I'm running (on average I'm running around 10-15 apps at the same time and I do need as much space as I can get). In horizontal mode I'm using it for games and trust me nothing beats it when you play fps or simulator. in flight simulator you get the feeling like you are actually there paired it with 165 refresh rate it is a beast.

Brilliant monitor for people who use their pc for both work and leisure. Super bright, fast refresh with great image quality and doesn't have to be babied like an OLED. Far superior to having dual monitors as you don't have your screens divided with monitor bezels in the middle of your field of view. My only critique is that it can kick out a lot of heat when in HDR mode. If you live in a hot country or have poor ventilation you will significantly heat up your room. I'd also highly recommend a wall arm mount as the included stand will take up your whole desk and desk mounted arms generally have issues supporting the weight of this thing.

You would think that having a 55 inch screen on a desk would be to much but the curvature really helps eliminate that and i would say your good at a veiwing distance of 36 inchs. I own a top tier pc (7800x3d and 4090) and playing games at an actual 4k 165 hz is just an incredible experience, and the monitor handles the refresh rate well with no jitter or tearing. The multiview was also pretty awesome as a i was able to play bg3, stream, and watch football all on one screen. I could see this being an incredible display for day traders. I didn't have to much time to try out the built in gamestreaming software but it did work well on my 1gig fiber connection. It also works great with consoles, just keep in mind your not going to get 165hz due to the limitations of current generation consoles. All in all if you have a use case for this monitor I'd say it's a solid buy. I know the first gen had some issues but absolutely everything seems to be ironed out and working well this time around. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the productivity increase from this thing as a vertical monitor next to my ultra wide OLED that I use for gaming etc. The only complain I'd have is the backlight has some problems with icons and sometimes the mouse doesn't trigger the localized blacklight to turn on. This gets worse when you turn on auto-dimming or whatever, but then the icons all look better. The one box runs a bit hot, but far from important. Samsung needs to do a better job overall with their remotes controlling multiple devices, I've got pieces of foil and tape over sensors all over the room this monitor is in to prevent cross communication. Mainly IR which seems to be active instead of bluetooth when the monitor is off being turned on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The monitor is large but with the ARK being curved, it feels comfortable because I’m not having to peer out towards the corners of the screen. I use the monitor mainly for work at my home office as well as gamin and with gaming, you feel much more immersed especially playing RTS types like Aliens: Dark Descent. I like the wheel controller and the menu choices that are available and fairly easy to navigate. Since I use this mainly for computer use, the monitor streaming feature will only connect to the monitor speakers and not to the speakers attached to the computer. I have to use separate speakers connected to the ARK55 to play decent sound. Overall, the ARK55 was a great buy and I am very happy with this purchase.

OI absolutely love the monitor, but there are a few minor issues that I've noticed. In my opinion, the buttons and the mode switching are just a tad too sensitive. It would be great if they could also provide the option to change frequencies specifically for Samsung TVs. It can be quite frustrating when your wife is changing channels or adjusting the volume, and it affects your monitor as well. However, the real distraction arises in the multiview mode. Occasionally, when I turn on the unit, one side of the monitor goes blank or becomes fuzzy. Thankfully, I've found that exiting and reentering the multiview mode resolves this issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen, because I thought it had the best features for gamers and multitasking in mind. This monitor has the most features I've ever seen in a monitor and most I never thought I need till I started using it. I though a 55" monitor would be too much, but with the features you can use the 4k 165hz screen at any size you want and can also change the aspect ratio which is awesome. I wish there was more freedom of where you could place the other displays, but maybe in an update that will change. I would recommend to gamers and people who work from home who use multiple displays. Only thing I wish it could do was allow you to either stack 2 utra wide displays at 2k or have 1 2k display and 2 1080 displays on top of the ultra wide.

This monitor's display is extremely impressive. It however has some pretty bad shortcomings that I hope are fixed sooner than later. (What is great) - There are 4 HDMI 2.1 - The sound system for both Windows 10 and my consoles are so awesome that I don't even need my external speakers (Haven't used em since I got my monitor)! - Once you get used to it, the remotes feel great to tinker with. (What is terrible about this product) - You can only select one HDMI source at any time. This means that you can't launch a streaming software on your computer on HDMI_1 while gaming on a console on HDMI_2 at the same time. - There are no display ports available. This means that I can't use my display cable to achieve at least the 240hz my previous smaller montor can reach. At a max, I can only reach 120hz, and thats only if my device supposorts HDMI 2.1. - Supporting the previous two points, the software on the loading dock thing with the HDMI ports is terrible. My graphics supports HDMI 2.0 only. I purchased a DP 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adapter that goes from my computer and to the loading dock. It then takes me through trouble shooting because the block doesn't instantly recognize my adapter. Once done with troubleshooting, it works as intended, at least until I switch HDMI sources from PC to Console, then back again. Once switched back, it doesn't recognize the PC port and I have to do the troubleshooting steps to recognize it once more. (Suggestions and Requests) While I still enjoy this monitor, I can't recommend this for power users as myself to other users until these things are fixed: - Allow multiple HDMI sources to be used. If fixed, allow picture-in-picure mode for the multiple sources. - The loading dock is limiting and hindering my capabilities as a content creator. Being limited to 60hz due to it not recognizing my once recognized display port 1.4 to HDMI (With the HDMI going onto the loading dock), I am not able to achieve 120hz without having to recalibrate it.

i really wanted to love this thing its great for console gaming and movies/shows . Its horrible for pc gaming the constant disconnects I get while playing on my computer is freaking horrible . i can be mid gameplay and the monitor would just decide to disconnect and i have to wait 2 seconds for it to find my PC again or sometimes it just losses connection entirely and i have to unplug the hdmi and connect it back and set it up again manually every time i really wanted to love it but for its price and performance its just a big TV and not a gaming monitor . Sadly i think its passed im able to return it so im stuck with it now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spoiled myself and bought the Samsung Odyssey Ark 4K UHD Gaming Monitor. One word: a monster. This monitor is a mind-blowing experience (with a 55 curved inch screen), 1ms display with 6, high quality Dolby Atmos sound dome. Fits perfectly in our man-cave. Unboxing. The delivery company warned us to have min 2 people helping with this, as the screen comes with a heavy weighted stand. And trust me, you really need 2 people. Once this monster is installed, you can follow some easy set-up steps: adding your Samsung account, Wi-Fi connections, run some software updates and connect your game controllers. The Ark comes with a dial controller, but I did this all through a simple TV remote controller. All this, will take you another 30min. I also went through the configuration part: adjusting the defaults for the picture, sound and gaming. The eclipse lighting is actually a cool effect, would definitely recommend you to try this out. A short note on the Ark Dial remote: it has a large dial and buttons for controlling various displays and settings. A mouse and keyboard can be added on the One C Box. So then let the fun begin: a 55” monitor, with incredible sound power and access to streaming (Disney, Netflix, Amazon Prime) and gaming Apps. Bye bye cruel world, welcome to the game zone… Fun starts with the Ark Game Center. It comes with some standard game apps (Xbox, Prime, etc) but you can easily install your favorites (need to go to settings). You log-in with your account, and you are off to the races. The Game experience is amazing, just a big wow. The curved screen let you feel that you are in the game (I kept it on landscape), and it pixel quality is overwhelming. I very much appreciate the multi view option: when in landscape, you can have 4 views (similar as a 27” screen, crazy), so easy to put your laptop up, while playing a game and watching the news. Due to the size of the screen, it doesn’t feel overloaded and it still gives you that focus for one of the screens. The beautiful 4K UHD display is crisp, bright and clear. Samsung recommends you to keep a distance of 80cm, and fully agree with that. When you are done with playing, you can go to the streaming Apps. Samsung TV Plus has also many channels of programs and movies (so you can close your cable contract). Perfect for when you want to do screen view option, you can put the news on while playing a game. Very excited to have this in da house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 2nd gen Odyssey Ark Gaming Screen is a seriously large screen. I like the width of it, but it is seriously tall. It is truly an ergonomic nightmare and would give an Ergonomist nightmares. It's very hard to place this gaming screen in a position that would not cause neck troubles. I'm considering finding a wall to mount this to so that I can mount the bottom of the screen to be lower than my desk so that I don't have to tilt my head up to look at the top of the monitor. That or stand up and and find something tall to rest my keyboard and mouse on top of. Although that would create other issues when trying to game, but would be an effective solution when using this screen for working. They did upgrade this 2nd gen gaming screen and improved upon some of the critisms from the 1st gen which is a very welcome surprised. Some of the upgrades you'll find is that the One Connect now has 1 DisplayPort connection and 3 HDMI connections instead of just 4 HDMI connections. When you do multi-view, you can now multi-view from the other source inputs instead of just 1 source like the 1st gen gaming screen. Another improvement is that the One Connect now works like a KVM switch, you can use one KB and Mouse to control the active PC. These are all great improvements to this gaming screen and I'm already utilizing all the new features in this 2nd gen gaming screen. This gaming screen is HEAVY. The screen plus stand is 91.5 lbs... 46 lbs for the screen, the rest is the stand. I use a glass desk and was worried this would shatter my desk so I built a support beam to sit under the glass desk right where the gaming screen rests. This way my support beam is taking all the weight of the gaming screen and not my glass desk. If I mount this on the wall though, then half that weight will be gone, so another reason for me to wall mount it versus leaving it on my desk. I like that the ark dial AND The remote for this Odyssey Ark are solar rechargable. Now I won't have to always think about plugging it in to charge the remotes up, it will lost longer between manual charging thanks to the solar panels on it. There are a lot of control options with this gaming screen so it will take some time learning everything and being able to fully utilize the gaming screen to it's full potential. So far though, my favorite feature is the KVM upgrade of the One Connect, only having 1 kb & mouse to control my multiple computers on my desk is a very much desired space saver.

Each was my main monitor at one time before the g9. I wish I could budget two more of the Odyssey Arc G9 monitors. Having 3 in an arc with surround gaming, nv or amd, would be awesome. When a do more productivity type work, browse, excel, word (office in general) the large size and super clear text is pure uber. If you can budget and fit in your desk/wall I can highly recommend. The only con is physically setting up the device. The in instruction say you need a friend, believe it. Once done you don't need to worry about that again. This is the absolute worst "gaming" monitor I've ever seen. Changing modes takes a minute or more. Game mode is nothing but a sponsered advertiement for Microsoft Xbox. You cannot remove theses ads and if you turn off "Game mode" or the screen reverts to 120HTz and non HDR non 4k worst possible resolution on any screen. Do not buy this! There are better, smarter options. If you insist on getting one, I'll give you mine! I despise this screen! I hate it so much I will never buy another Samsung brand item ever!! I buy a new phone every year, has always been Samsung! Never again. I sell SSD at my small computer shop, only Samsung! Never again! I despise this monitor!

I do development and support and this monitor gives me the equivalent amount of working space to four 1920x1080 monitors. And at 4k high refresh the screen is smooth as butter on any application I use, from Video Meetings, Remote Desktops and anything else I toss at it. The ability to adjust the height of the screen is very convenient. I do not use it in portrait mode so cant say much about that as I have plenty of space to work in landscaped layout.

Have had this for about 2 months. I don't use all of the features. I use it mostly for a Computer Monitor and it is great for that. Accidentally found a setting yesterday that makes the picture AMAZING (not sure which one though). This is NOT something you set up by yourself. It needs at least 2 MEN. Minor issues: Stand at lowest setting is a bit too high. Was Expecting MUCH better native sound (4 speaker and 2 subs it says) - ended up with a Bose Soundbar. Support didn't know it Toslink on controller box was in or out (or really anything about this Monitor). Does a very very poor job at switching from Full Screen gaming to apps on the second Monitor. (weird black screen gap). Lastly, I have ignored the update as people in Reddit have reported it messes up the Multi-input.

I was extremely hoping they would come in an update, because multiple external inputs is pretty crucial, however, it was just my assumption that they would add them with a software update, they didn't they made a Gen 2. Outside of that, this monitor is amazing. Great picture quality, great refresh rate. If you're looking at game streaming, it does that built in. And just all around it functions great. Again, the only thing it is missing is multiple external inputs, so you want that make sure you buy Gen 2. You'll also want to make sure your desk supports it. It's heavy, much of the weight being the stand. The stand is pretty great though, providing a range of height adjustment with minimal effort to bring it up and down.

This monitor is great but key features do not work yet. Even though it labels itself as a dolby atmos pc monitor, if you enable "Dolby Atmos for Home Theater" in Windows there is no sound. (I only have an nvidia gpu so its the only method I can test with). eARC does not truly passthrough, as even 11.4.2 sound systems only appear as 5.1 speakers. No multi-source split view which is strange on a monitor/tv this size. Why would you not allow picture in picture or picture by picture.

Mainly only being able to snap 2 windows into view at a time without third party apps. The Ark is nuts, 4 windows open at a time, all measuring 27" is amazing. I own a mortgage company, so being able to see incoming emails, review loan documents, update loan files, and verify property information simultaneously makes my life much easier. I haven't used it for gaming yet, but I will!

I really just wanted another 43" 16:9 curved TV and I don't like the ultra widescreen offerings. It's a beautiful picture, great curve to give an immersive experience. I actually had a bit of motion sickness the first time I played Call of Duty on it, but that went away quickly. I'm seeing detail that I've never seen before. Don't let Xbox help configure HDR, it will make the picture too washed out. I use the monitor to play Xbox and watch TV. I would really like to use it for my computer too, but they still haven't fixed Multiview so I can use multiple HDMI inputs at the same time, so I'm stuck using one HDMI input and the built in Apps via Multiview. Not sure why they don't offer a fix for it, they have it working on some of their other monitors.

It's great for 4k gaming thanks to its high resolution, and it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, so you can play games at high refresh rates. However, because it doesn't have a DisplayPort input, your graphics card must support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth to use the monitor fully. Other than that, it has low input lag for a responsive feel and a quick response time at high refresh rates, but there's more smearing at lower refresh rates

There are so many flaws with this monitor. This is one of the regrets I have about purchasing this craptacular monitor. 1) You can NOT use more than one HDMI port when using multiple views on the monitor. You can only use the app if you use multiple views (which defeats the purpose of the multiview feature. flickering on the monitor is unbearable, and brightness on the monitor is subpar at best. This is my biggest waste of money. Stay away from this.

The Ark’s One connect box is designed with four (4) HDMI 2.1 ports to give ultimate connectivity to devices with HDMI outputs which include, but are not limited to, PCs and Macs, Gaming Consoles, Media Players and Streaming Sticks, cable or Satellite boxes, legacy DVD Players and more. While up to 4 inputs can be connected simultaneously for cable management, only 1 HDMI Input can be displayed on the Ark display at a time, whether in full-screen or in Multi View mode. We’ve received feedback that it would be desirable to be able to use multiple HDMI inputs simultaneously, and we’re exploring this as a future feature on this or other Odyssey Gaming Monitors. By using the Windows “Connect to a Wireless Display” feature, you may be able to work-around the single-HDMI port limitation and connect to compatible Laptop or notebook PC in addition to another HDMI device in a separate multi-view window. NOTE: Wireless display connectivity is not intended for high-performance gaming due to latency issues, but could be ideal for running programs like Netflix, Prime Video, Twitch, and more. Additionally, in some instances, while an actual application cannot be used in a Multi View window, it may be possible to run a browser-based session of that application or web site in the Web Browser, provided all required codecs and plug-ins are available and setup in the browser. While this is not an all-inclusive bypass (ex. Netflix requires a Microsoft Silverlight plug-in, which doesn’t exist for the Web Browser), we encourage you to experiment with your favorite sites and apps to get the most of out of your Ark Multi View experience. I set this up almost as soon as it got delivered, and in all my time I've not found a monitor that comes close to this! I have two inputs coming from my PC, 1 input from my consoles, and 1 input set for my work computer! I can work from my work computer, while monitoring my entire network from my primary home computer, and still have space to game while I have downtime or on my breaks while still being able to keep an eye on everything else going on on my boards. This has far exceeded my expectations, and the clarity from my setup is the best it's ever been! Samsung keeps impressing me, and proving why I'm brand loyal!

Reviews seem to be for different models. This is for the 57" G95NC. + Absolutely love it. Productivity is fantastic, managing 5 slim or 4 full-fat windows. Gaming is ridiculous. The settings let you have it as bright and saturated as your eyes can handle. Clean, crisp images. - As people have mentioned, it's (impossible?) to run it at full resolution, 240Hz <right now> - as far as I know. The only cards with Displayport 2 don't have the power to game at that level, hence the 4 stars. (COME ON SAMSUNG - THERE MUST BE SOMETHING YOU CAN DO WITH HDMI 2.1 ??) I'd done lots of pre-reading before I bought it and was aware of that. I'm running it with a 4090 and things like Cyberpunk look outrageously good. People who complain about no speakers !? I can't believe you have this screen and don't have a decent set of speakers to complement it.

As a network engineer / sys admin, I recall using a quad setup with 19s and always wished for a single monitor that can do the same....This does it better, the 1000r curve makes viewing any part of the screen the same as what's directly in front of you. I just want to know when there will be a firmware update released to enable multi import view like the PBP to allow me to use my HDMI ports, not airplay. There are work arounds; however, I do not like them. I knew when purchasing this monitor that was not an option at the time; yet, I am hoping that a firmware release allowing this feature would eventually be released. I love playing my switch on it so far and can't wait until I get my new console to see how amazing these games look on this huge 55" screen. The biggest and really only issue was how heavy it is. When it was delivered the driver wouldn't help bring it in and it's very difficult to assemble and get it going. I recommend it but make sure you know it's 90 pounds and cumbersome.

This monitor undeniably excels in accommodating such demanding work requirements. While I am genuinely impressed and inclined to grant it a 5-star rating, there are two notable aspects that prevent me from doing so. Firstly, the absence of multiple HDMI inputs limits its connectivity potential. Secondly, and perhaps more crucially, the monitor lacks the capability to freely adjust window placement beyond the confines of its predefined grid pattern. It would be immensely beneficial if a feature could be implemented to enable users to adjust the size of inputs and freely position them anywhere on the screen. The HDMI 2.1 new gen ports allows you to connect to all new gen consoles and get full usage of the port. The sock built speakers are great but o would still connect some type of external sound! The multi view is great plus , where u can do numerous of task at once! It is very heavy to put on wall your self so please try to get another hand to help! The wall mounts were difficult to find the correct size to fit…. Overall I recommend this monitor to every gamer out there!

I work from home a few days a week and the multi windows/apps are great for either my productivity for work or have something more fun on the side. Most days I'm working on one window and streaming Samsung TV on another. Sometimes I will mirror from my phone or tablet too. Changing sizes on the windows is still a feature too. All my other Samsung products sync easily as well, whether is my Buds Pro 3, my Z Fold 6 or my ultra 8 tablet. I also game on it with my Xbox and the curve just makes it more immersive and fun.

From the second you turn the power button on, to play a variety of games, or multitask on this superior monitor you will be truly impressed. The colors, clarity, and contrast are all great. In comparison to my other LED 4K TVs, this screen is definitely a step above the rest. The built-in sound is amazing, you don't even need any external speakers. The built-in speakers give a surround sound feeling with depth. The physical controls are easy to use. The ark dial is fast and gets things done quickly. You'll be able to make adjustments to your screen easily in mid-game action. if you want a LARGE gaming monitor with impressive specs and quality then this is the monitor for you. The refresh rates are high and gameplay is smooth. It gives so many options that I've never had with any other monitor. If you are looking for a monitor that stands out from the crowd, this is the one for you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the screen for streaming, light gaming and daily work, while still early in ownership, I highly recommend this for someone interested in an ultrawide display but wanting more height in their display than width. Some of the key highlights of me choosing this display over others was the precision of color quality to use for occasional film and photography editing as well as the one of a kind ability of portrait mode and integrating multiple "sources". I say it in quotes because as of writing this. Only 1 HDMI input can be mixed together, the other sources must be a built in app or a wireless display broadcast to it. With the limitations understood, this is a overall really great display!

7 days and so far it is everything I hoped it would be. Excellent for work and home. Similar size to 4 full 32"? monitors, but seamless --> easier to manage than 4 full-size monitors. Combine the monitor with Microsoft PowerToys' FancyZones and it becomes a productivity powerhouse. That being said, with limited app support multi-view is of limited use. Really needs to add Discord and VNC client support.
