Connecting the External Flash to Your Samsung NX500 Camera

Your external flash can help you capture better photos. See below for layout and mounting instructions.

  2. Hot-Shoe Fastening Dial

Connecting the External Flash

  1. Mount the flash by sliding it into the hot-shoe.

  2. Lock the flash into place by turning the hot-shoe fastening dial clockwise.

  3.  Lift up the flash to use it.

Tips on Using the External Flash

  • You can capture a photo with a flash that is not fully charged, but re recommend using a fully charged flash.

  • The available options may differ depending on the shooting mode.

  • When you use Red-eye correction, there is an interval between two bursts of the flash. Do not move until the flash fires a second time.

  • SEF8A may not be compatible with other cameras.

  • For more information about optional flashes, refer to the user manual.

  • Use only Samsung-approved flashes. Using incompatible flashes may damage your camera.
