Samsung Pay is Crashing or not Responding

Read on to troubleshoot issues with Samsung Pay such as freezing, not responding, or crashing. You'll be good to go in no time.

Restart the Phone

Let's start with the basics. First, restart your phone, and then open Samsung Pay. Restarting the phone can correct any memory issues that are preventing the app from functioning properly.

Remove and Re-Add a Card

If a specific payment card is causing issues, try to remove the original card from Samsung Pay, and then add the card again. If the issue persists after removing and adding the card, contact us.

Reset Samsung Pay

Resetting Samsung Pay will remove all payment cards from the app.

Still having trouble? If restarting does not work, you can reset Samsung Pay and start again. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Samsung Pay on your phone.

  2. Touch More Options > Settings.

  3. Swipe to and touch Reset app.

  4. Select the reason(s) you want to reset Samsung Pay, and then touch RESET.

  5. Verify with your PIN or biometrics.
