Creating a Custom Mode on Your NX500 Camera

Use Custom Mode when you capture photos in various environments, you have preferred shooting settings, or you frequently use preset options in certain conditions.

Custom Mode

  1. Rotate the mode dial to C (Custom Mode). 

    Custom mode lets you create your own shooting modes by customizing options and saving them. Save frequently used option settings as a named Custom Mode, and then use it as your own shooting mode customized for the shooting environment.

  2. Set shooting options. For this example, touch Program.    

  3. Touch Menu.   

  4. Touch the User Settings icon. 

  5. Touch Manage Custom Mode.    

  6. Touch Save to save the settings.    

  7. Verify the shooting options, and then select Save or Save as.    

  8. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a name for the mode.    

  9. Then, touch Save to save the mode name.    

  10. Press the Shutter button to capture a representative photo for the mode to save.   

  11. Touch Save.
