Moving Photos, Videos, and Other Media on Your Galaxy Camera to a PC?

Transfer pictures and videos from your Samsung Galaxy Camera to your PC via Windows Explorer or Samsung Kies. Your device supports the following video formats: Divx, H.263, H.264, MPEG4, VP8, and VC-1 (Format: 3GP, 3G2, MP4, WMV(ASF), AVI, MKV, and FLV).

Drag and Drop Files Using Windows Explorer

• If the window does not automatically open, you can also open Windows Explorer by clicking Start, typing Explorer in the search box, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard.
• On older versions of Windows, you can click Start and then click Run and type Explorer to open Windows Explorer.

In this example, we are using Windows 7. Accessing your device from your computer using Media device (MTP) and Camera (PTP) mode is similar to accessing a USB mass storage device.

  1. Connect your device to your PC using the supplied USB cable.

  2. A window may automatically open on your computer. Click Open device to view files option.

  3. Navigate to the folder containing the photos or videos on the device.

  4. Click and drag the pictures or videos to the desired folder on your PC. In the example below, we are dragging pictures to the default Pictures folder on the computer.

Touch Media device (MTP) to change the USB settings. The Notification Panel should show Connected as a media device, as shown in the screenshot below.
