Reactivation Lock on my Samsung Gear S3 (SM-R760, SM-R765, SM-R770)

Reactivation lock uses your Samsung account login to ensure that others cannot activate your device if it's lost or stolen. If you or someone else resets your Gear S3 to factory settings, your Samsung account login will be required to complete the reset. 

Reactivation lock can be turned on when connecting your Gear S3 to your mobile device. You can also turn it on or off in the Samsung Gear app.

  1. From the Home screen of your mobile device, touch Apps.
  2. Touch Samsung Gear.

    The Samsung Gear app may be located in the Samsung folder by default on some devices.

  3. Touch the SETTINGS tab.
  4. Touch Find My Gear.
  5. Touch Reactivation lock.
  6. Touch the slider to turn Reactivation lock on or off.
  7. Enter the password for your Samsung account and touch CONFIRM.
