Set Up Galaxy S8 and S8+ with DeX Pad

Are you tired of squinting at your phone trying to get a better look at images? When you want to see every detail of images or videos, dock your S8 and S8+ on the DeX Station. It lets you connect to a TV or monitor to see everything larger and clearer. Your eyes will thank you!

Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Connect the DeX Station and a Phone

Break out the popcorn and get ready to watch that hilarious viral video on the big screen. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Connect the DeX Station to a charger.

    Use the Adaptive Fast Charging Travel adapter that came with the phone.

  2. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the DeX Station's HDMI port and plug the other end of the cable into a TV or monitor's HDMI port.

  3. Slide the DeX Station cover open and mount the phone onto the USB-C connector on the DeX Station.

    Note: If phone is in cased, you may need to remove the case before placing the phone on the Dex Station.

  4. Connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB ports on the DeX Station.

    You can also connect to nearby devices, such as a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

  5. Select the screen mode you want to use. You can select Samsung DeX or Screen mirroring mode.

      START SAMSUNG DeX: The phone's screen will turn off and appear on the connected TV or monitor in desktop mode.

      SWITCH TO SCREEN MIRRORING: The same screen as the phone will appear on the connected TV or monitor.
