Removing a Mobile Device from Your Gear VR

Though taking your phone out of the Gear VR is pretty straightforward, it's good to make sure you're doing things the right way to avoid possibly damaging your stuff.

Disconnecting the Device

  1. To disconnect your mobile device from the Gear VR, pull the Right Device holder (1) to the open position.

  2. While holding your mobile device at an angle, remove it from the Left Device holder (2).

Replacing the Front Cover

Replace the front cover when you finish using your Gear VR to prevent damages to the lense.

  1. Pull both Device holders into the open position.

  2. Connect the left side of the front cover with the Left Device holder.

    Make sure to hold the front cover at an angle.

  3. Gently push down on the front cover until the Right Device holder locks into place.

    Do not forcefully insert the front cover. Doing so may cause damage.
