Using the On-Screen Keyboard on Your Galaxy Book (Wi-Fi)

In tablet mode, the onscreen keyboard appears automatically when you enter text to send emails, create notes, and more.

On-Screen Keyboard Functions

Index for the on-screen keyboard functions:

From the Home screen of your phone, navigate to Apps > Samsung Gear 360.

  1. Shift: Enter uppercase. For all caps, touch it twice.

  2. Emoticons: Enter emoticons.

  3. Floating keyboard: Switch to the floating keyboard.

  4. Close: Close the keyboard.

  5. Delete: Delete a preceding character.

  6. Return: Break to the next line.

  7. Arrow left: Move the cursor to the left.

  8. Arrow right: Move the cursor to the right.

  9. Keyboard options: Change the input language or the keyboard layout, or add input languages.

Change the Input Language

  1. From the Home screen, navigate to and select on-screen keyboard.

  2. Select Keyboard options on the on-screen keyboard.

  3. Select Language preferences.

  4. Select Add a language.

  5. Select a language you want to add.

  6. You will see the newly added language under the Languages list.

  7. For this example, open Notepad and then select on-screen keyboard to change the input language.

    You can change your input languages on any apps like Samsung Notes, Notepad, Sticky notes that you can type on using on-screen keyboard.

  8. Select Keyboard options.

  9. Select a language you want to change. You now can write in the language you just changed using the on-screen keyboard.

Additional Keyboard Functions

  • Standard: Switch to the standard keyboard.

  • Floating/Split: Switch to the floating or split keyboard. You can move the keyboard to another location by dragging the keyboard.

  • Handwriting: Switch to a handwriting mode.
