Picture and Video Settings

Samsung Gear360 Picture Video Settings

Not all pictures and videos are created equally. There are various fine adjustments you can make to really get that perfect shot! You can adjust the picture and video options through the Gear 360 or the Gear 360 app.

Gear 360 Settings

Use the Gear 360's Settings menu to adjust the picture and video.

  1. With the Gear 360 powered on, press Menu repeatedly until Settings appear on the display and then press OK.

  2. Press Menu repeatedly until Mode settings appear on the display, and then press OK.

  3. The following option settings are available:

    • Video size: Select the size of the recorded videos.

    • Photo size: Select the size of the captured photos.

    • Time lapse Video size: Select the size of the recorded Time lapse videos.

    • Time lapse Video interval: Select the time interval in between the time lapse photos.

    • Video looping size: Select the size of the recorded looping videos.

    • Video loop recording time: Select the recording time for the looping videos.

    • Landscape HDR: Select the size of the Landscape HDR photos.

Gear 360 App Settings

Use the Remote Viewfinder in the Gear 360 app to adjust the picture options.

Picture Options

  1. From your mobile device, navigate to Apps > Samsung Gear 360.

  2. Touch Camera.

  3. Touch Settings.

    To view picture options, Photo or Landscape HDR mode must be selected.

  4. The following Camera settings are available:

    • Main lens in preview: Select which lens to show in the center of the preview.

    • Timer: Set a timer that will add a delay between when Capture is touched and the photo is taken. 

    • ISO sensitivity limit: ISO sets the amount of light needed and the shutter speed. Set the ISO low in a bright environment. Set the ISO high in a low-light environment and for fast-moving shots to eliminate motion blur.

    • Sharpness: Increase or decrease the sharpness in your images.

    • Location Tags: When enabled, all the photos you take will have geographical data embedded.

   

Video Options

Use the Remote Viewfinder in the Gear 360 app to adjust the video options.

  1. On your mobile device, navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Camera.

  3. Touch Settings.

    To view video options, Video, Time lapse, or Video looping mode must be selected.

  4. The following Video options are available:

    • Video size (Dual Lens): Select the size for videos recorded using both cameras.

    • Main lens in preview: Select which lens to show in the center of the preview.

    • Video size (Single Lens): Select the size of videos recorded using one camera.

    • Timer: Set a timer that will add a delay between when Capture is touched and the photo is taken. 

    • ISO sensitivity limit: ISO sets the amount of light needed and the shutter speed. Set the ISO low in bright environments. Set the ISO high in low-light environments and for fast-moving shots to eliminate motion blur.

    • Sharpness: Increase or decrease the sharpness in your images.

    • Reduce wind noise: When enabled, noise from the wind will be removed from recorded videos.

    • Location Tags: When enabled, all photos you take will have geographical data embedded.
