Send text messages with Bixby Voice on your Galaxy phone

Sending a message to your parents or best friends should be a simple task, yet you need to unlock your phone, find your desired contact, and then type the whole message out. Well, Bixby Voice can help make texting simple again by typing and sending messages for you. Just ask Bixby to send a message to someone in your Contacts, and consider it done.

Send messages with Bixby Voice

If you need to send an important text but you're doing too many things at once, Bixby can send it for you. Call Bixby by saying, "Hi Bixby" or pressing and holding the Bixby or Side key, depending on your settings.

When you want to send a text, there are two ways you can do it. You can tell Bixby who to send the text to (e.g., "Text Mom"), tap the Keyboard icon, and then enter the message yourself. Tap Go (the arrow icon), tap Send, and you're done.

Or, you can tell Bixby exactly what to send. For example, you can say, "Text Mom happy birthday." Bixby will not automatically send the text. Once it's written, you get to review the message, and then you can tap Send.

If you have two or more contacts that share the same name, Bixby will ask which one to text. Tap the correct name, review your message, and then tap Send.
