Shortcuts for Almost Everything
Can you really add shortcuts for almost everything, you ask? Yep, you read that right. Your wish is our command! Add shortcuts to the Lock screen or Home screens and access your favorite apps without all the hassle.
The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.
Add Shortcuts to Favorite Apps
Before you can add a shortcut to the Favorite apps bar, you have to remove at least one because you can only have a maximum of 5 apps on the bar. To remove the default shortcuts, touch and hold the app you want to remove and then touch Remove shortcut. If you have so many favorites that picking 5 shortcuts is just impossible, you can create a folder by dragging a shortcut on top of another shortcut. We really thought of everything.
Add Shortcuts to Home Screens
Get your Home screen in order, with all your most-used apps lined up right where you want them. Swipe up or down to access the Apps screen. Follow the instructions below for multiple ways to add shortcuts to the Home screen.
Touch and hold until a menu shows up and then touch Add shortcut to Home.
Touch and hold until the Home screen is shown and release the app to the desired location.
Touch and hold the app and then drag it to the top or bottom of the screen. Then, release the app to the desired location.
Add Shortcuts to the Lock Screen
Sometimes you need to make a call or take a photo on the fly. You can set up to two shortcuts that you can instantly access from the Lock screen. To add shortcuts to your favorite apps, navigate to Settings and then search for and select App shortcuts. Once the shortcut is set, simply swipe the app shortcuts from the Lock screen in any direction to open. But, if you have a lock screen set up, you'll still need to enter your credentials before the app opens.
