Adjust the HMD Odyssey to Fit Your Head

No doubt about it, the HMD Odyssey is built for comfort. With just a few modifications, you’ll practically forget you’re even wearing it. Read on to learn how to get that perfect fit so you can traverse the virtual realm in total comfort.

Do not walk outside or drive while wearing the HMD. Always be aware of your surroundings while using the HMD to avoid injuring yourself or others.

Basic Tips

  • Do not put on the HMD while you are wearing glasses; doing so may cause facial injuries. If you need corrective lenses, it is recommended that you wear contact lenses while using the HMD.

  • If you are farsighted or there is a big difference between your left and right eyes’ vision, wear contact lenses before using the HMD.

  • Factory lens protectors are pre-installed on the HMD. Remove the lens protectors before you use the HMD so you can see clearly.

  • Keep the lenses clean and protect them from getting scratched. If the lenses get dirty or steam up, clean them with the lens cleaning cloth.

  • The foam cushioning may get dirty if your face is sweating while you are wearing the HMD. Do not try to wash the foam cushioning. Remove the polluted foam cushioning from the HMD and attach a new one.

Adjust the HMD Odyssey

Your HMD Odyssey is fully adjustable to feel like it was made just for you. If you wear it tilted to one side, it could be uncomfortable.

First, align the HMD’s lenses with your eyes, and then place the HMD’s head band on your head and adjust it using the head band adjustment wheel. Adjust the location of the speakers to place them on your ear, and rotate the focus adjustment wheel to adjust the space between the lenses. Finally, hold the controllers. Now, take a look. Pretty cool, huh?

Note: When the screen is tilted, adjust the HMD or rotate the focus adjustment wheel until the screen becomes clear.
