Use Samsung Cloud on Your Phone

No need to fret about how to guard all your important data. Keep it high in the sky with Samsung Cloud. No one will be able to reach it up there! We bet you're feeling almost weightless right about now.

• Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

• Samsung Cloud is not available on Verizon phones.

Sync Data

Wanna move some things over from your phone to your laptop? Sync them using Samsung Cloud. In no time, you’ll be up-to-date with your contacts, upcoming events on the calendar, and those new selfies you took. Follow along to learn how.

  1. Navigate to Apps and touch Settings.

  2. Touch Search, then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

    Note: Samsung Cloud may not be available depending on your country and/or carrier.

  3. Touch the data you want to sync.

  4. The following data can be synced to your Samsung account:

    • Gallery: Sync your Gallery to access your videos and photos using your Samsung account.

    • Device backups: Backup and restore your phone's information onto another device.

    • Samsung Notes: Sync your notes to stay organized.

    • Samsung Cloud Drive: Sync all of the files you saved directly into the Samsung cloud drive anytime and anywhere.

    • Other phone data: Sync any data saved onto your calander, contacts and more.

    • My Knox and Secure Folder: Sync all of the files you saved onto the Secure Folder app.

Back Up Data

Make sure you don't lose that precious video of your baby's first steps. Back up your data, so you can relive that special moment just by logging into your Samsung account. Here’s how you do it.

  1. Navigate to Apps and then touch Settings.

  2. Touch Search, then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

    Note: Samsung Cloud may not be available depending on your country and/or carrier.

  3. Swipe to BACKUP AND RESTORE and touch This phone.

  4. Touch Back up and then select the app you want to back up.

    Note: For more information, touch More Options and then touch More information.

  5. Touch BACK UP.

Restore Data

With everything backed up on Samsung Cloud, restoring your data is a breeze. Transfer data to a new or different device using the Restore function. Let’s get started.

  1. Navigate to Apps and then touch Settings.

  2. Touch Search, then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

    Note: Samsung Cloud may not be available depending on your country and/or carrier.

  3. Swipe to BACKUP AND RESTORE and touch This phone.

  4. Touch Restore data and then select data you want to restore.

  5. Touch RESTORE.

Delete Backed Up Data

If you no longer need something on Samsung Cloud, you can just delete it. Problem solved.

  1. Navigate to Apps and touch Settings.

  2. Touch Search, then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

    Note: Samsung Cloud may not be available depending on your country and/or carrier.

  3. Swipe to BACKUP AND RESTORE and touch This phone.

  4. Touch Delete backup and then select the back-up items you want to delete.

  5. Touch DELETE.

  6. To confirm the deletion, touch DELETE.
