Clean and care for your Samsung PC

If you’ve neglected cleaning your PC because it seemed daunting, have no fear. You don't need to be tech wizard - cleaning your PC is a lot easier than it seems. In this guide, we'll go over the very basics for cleaning the outside as well as its software.

Wipe the PC's screen

Unless you're a detective, you probably don't like fingerprints on your screen.

To clean the screen, grab a glass cleaning cloth and gently wipe your screen. You can lightly dampen the cloth with screen cleaning products or distilled water.

However, do NOT use alcohol, ammonia, or other solvents to clean the screen.

Clean the keyboard and touchpad

Sometimes, crumbs or other debris can fall into your keyboard and make the keys get stuck.

To get rid of pesky debris, hold your PC upside down and gently shake it to release large pieces of dirt. Then, use a can of compressed air to blow away any smaller particles that are stuck between the keys. If you want to be extra delicate, you can use a brush to gently clean each key individually.

Next, wet the cleaning cloth with distilled water and gently wipe the touchpad. Now your PC will be crumb-free.

Delete unused programs

It isn't just about physical care. You should also make sure your PC is clean on the inside. To do this, you should remove unused programs or apps.

To access the Apps & features, click Start, click Settings, and then click Apps. From here, click any app you want to delete. Then, click Uninstall, and then click Uninstall again to confirm.

You can also delete programs through the Control Panel. First, search for and click Control Panel on the search bar. Then, click Programs, and then click Programs and Features. Click a program you wish to uninstall, and then click Uninstall.

Clean your PC's disk

Certain programs automatically download drivers or cookies and store them on your PC. Over time, these files can take up a sizeable space and should be removed.

Search for and clickThis PC on the search bar. Right-click your local disk (usually called the C drive). Click Properties, and then click Disk Cleanup.

Click the checkbox next to the files you would like to remove, the click OK. Confirm and then the unwanted files will be removed.
