Use the touchscreen on your Windows 10 PC
It's a common fact. Touchscreens are more intuitive than computer mouses. And luckily, many Windows 10 PCs have their very own touchscreen! Using one on a PC is very similar to using one on a phone, but if you still aren't sure what to do, we have all the information you need right here.
Note: Available screens and settings may vary by software version and model.
Common touchscreen commands
Whether your mouse is out of reach, or you just prefer using your hands, Windows 10 PCs make it easy to use the touchscreen.
Here's how to do the most common actions:
Select items or apps: Tap the item on the touchscreen.
Open files or items: Tap the touchscreen twice.
Access additional options for an item: Touch and hold it on the touchscreen. This is the same as right-clicking.
Move an item to another location: Touch and hold the item. Then, drag it to your desired location.
Zoom in or out: To zoom in, spread two fingers apart on an image or text. To zoom out, make a pinching gesture on the screen.
Scrolling: To scroll, swipe your finger in the desired direction, such as left, right, up, or down.
