Calling features on your Samsung Galaxy phone

If you ever need to block a phone number, turn on call forwarding, or use call waiting, your Galaxy phone has it covered. Just use the settings and Supplementary Features in the Phone app to control which calls you take. You can also set up fixed numbers using your SIM card, so only the numbers that you allow can be dialed.
Note: Certain features may not be supported with specific carriers and phones.
Block numbers
You can block phone numbers and unknown callers using the settings in the Phone app.
Navigate to and open the Phone app, and then tap More options (the three vertical dots).
Tap Settings, and then tap Block numbers. You can block all unknown callers by tapping the switch at the top of the screen, or you can block specific callers by adding their number.
Tap Add phone number, and enter a number. Tap the plus icon when you’re finished.
To unblock a blocked number, tap the minus icon next to the number.

It’s also possible to block numbers using your Call Log.
Navigate to and open the Phone app, and then tap Recents at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to and tap the number you wish to block, and then tap the information icon next to it.
Tap Block. If you need to unblock the number, simply tap Unblock.
Supplementary features
Use the Supplementary features in your Phone app to turn on call forwarding and call waiting when you'd like to redirect or pause incoming calls. You can also hide your caller ID when making calls.
Call forwarding
Navigate to and open the Phone app, and then tap More options (the three vertical dots).
Tap Settings, and then tap Supplementary services.
Tap Call forwarding. Next, choose your preferred option, such as Always forward, Forward when busy, Forward when unanswered, or Forward when unreachable.
Select an option, and then enter the desired number that your calls will be forwarded to. Then, tap Enable.

Call waiting
Navigate to and open the Phone app, and then tap More options (the three vertical dots).
Tap Settings, and then tap Supplementary services.
Tap the switch next to Call waiting to turn it on.
Block caller ID
Navigate to and open the Phone app, and then tap More options (the three vertical dots).
Tap Settings, and then tap Supplementary services.
Tap Show my caller ID, and then tap your preference. You can choose from Network default, Hide number, or Show number.
Limit calling to specific numbers
Important: If the PIN2 is entered incorrectly, it may lock your SIM card and you will need to purchase a new card from your carrier.
Fixed dialing allows you to set up your SIM card so that only numbers you define can be dialed. Even with this mode enabled the phone will be able to call 911 in an emergency. This is ideal for parents who would like to limit who their children can call. You will need a PIN2 code from your carrier in order to set this up.
Navigate to and open the Phone app, and then tap More options (the three vertical dots).
Tap Settings, and then tap Supplementary services.
Tap Fixed dialing numbers, and then tap Enable FDN.
Enter the SIM card PIN2 that you received from your carrier.
