How to set up your Samsung Music Frame

The Samsung Music Frame is a wireless speaker built within a customizable picture frame. The Music Frame can be propped up on a piece of furniture like a traditional picture frame, or it can be mounted on the wall of your living space. You can personalize your Music Frame by adding different Photo Frames and Art Panels.

How to set up your Samsung Music Frame

Basic overview and placement

A Samsung Music Frame is displayed on a white wall.


The Samsung Music Frame can be placed anywhere in your living space. For instance, you can pair it with other picture frames or pieces of furniture to create a seamless aesthetic. The photo in the frame can also be swapped out for other photos or Art Panels to further personalize your living room, kitchen, bedroom, or any spot in your home.

 

The following are included on the Music Frame itself:

  • LED indicator: The LED will flash, glow, or change colors depending on the device’s current mode or status.
  • Multi Function button: When the device is in standby mode, you can press the Multi Function button to turn on the device. Each time you press the button, the current function mode will change.
  • Volume button: You can adjust the volume with this button.
  • Mic On/Off button: You can enable or disable the microphone with this button.
  • D. IN Optical port: Connect to a digital output port on an external device.
  • DC 19V port: Connect an AC/DC power adapter.
  • SmartThings Dongle port: You can attach a SmartThings Dongle and use SmartThings Hub functions.

Replace the Photo Frame

You can easily replace the Photo Frame in your Music Frame with a few steps.

  1. Lift and pull the frame to remove the Photo Frame.
  2. Press one of the marked positions with your finger to remove the cover.
  3. Slide out the current photo to remove it, and then insert a new one by sliding it into place.

    Note: If you’re using a personal photo, it must measure 8 by 10 inches.
  4. Close the cover, and then press the four locking tabs to lock it.
  5. Make sure the four corners of the cover are pushed down evenly and securely.

Replace the Art Panel

Note
Art Panels are sold separately and are not included with the Music Frame at the time of purchase. The Art Panel must measure 330.0 mm by 330.0 mm by 5.0 mm.

You can also replace the Photo Frame with an Art Panel by using the following steps. Your Music Frame comes with Holder Guide and Holder Plate accessories to help you remove the Photo Frame.

  1. Use the Holder Guide to attach the Holder Plate to each corner of the Art Panel. Then, remove the Holder Guide.
  2. Lift and pull to remove the Photo Frame from the Music Frame.
  3. After removing the Photo Frame, place the Art Panel into the Music Frame.
  4. Make sure the four corners of the Art Panel are pushed down evenly and securely.
