Use a passkey to sign into your Samsung Account

Samsung Pass is connected to your Samsung Account, and stores the passkeys you may make on your device. If you'd prefer to log in to your Samsung Account using your fingerprint rather than your username and password, you can simply create a passkey! If you have multiple devices logged in to the same Samsung Account, the passkey will be available on each of those devices, depending on whether or not the software is up to date.

Create a Samsung Account passkey

If you use biometrics:

  1. On your phone, open Settings, and then tap your name
  2. Under Security and privacy, tap Set up a passkey.
  3. Tap Passkey, and then tap Create passkey
  4. If you had a passkey on a previous device using the same account, you may need to enter that device's PIN and your current device's PIN. Otherwise, move on to the next step.
  5. Verify your fingerprint, and that's it. Now the passkey will show under Saved passkeys as Samsung Pass.

If you use a PIN or swipe lock:

  1. On your phone, open Settings, and then tap your name
  2. Under Security and privacy, tap Set up a passkey.
  3. Tap Passkey, and then tap Create passkey
  4. Enter your screen lock.
