Factory reset or reboot your SmartThings Hub

Factory reset or reboot your SmartThings Hub
Factory reset procedures for different SmartThings Hubs
SmartThings Hub (2018)
Unplug the power cable. Use a pin to hold down the RESET button while you reconnect the power cable. Release the button once the LED changes from flashing to solid yellow.
Note: Quick release is crucial; otherwise, the reset may not initiate.
SmartThings Hub v2
Press and hold the red button at the back for 30 seconds. Release when the LED changes to solid yellow. Ensure the hub remains connected to power and Ethernet.
SmartThings Wifi or Connect Home
Disconnect and reconnect the power cable. Press the RESET button with a small tool until the LED turns off, indicating the hub is resetting.
Factory reset Wifi and Connect Home through the SmartThings app
SmartThings Wifi Hub
Perform a soft reset via the SmartThings app by navigating to your hub under Devices, tapping Network status, then More options, and selecting Factory reset.
Connect Home
Similarly, use the SmartThings app to perform a soft reset. Find your Connect Home under Devices, select the Wi-Fi hub image, swipe to Factory reset, and confirm.
Special Consideration for Firmware Below 17.11
For hubs with firmware versions below 17.11, remove all devices and app configurations, including Automations, Scenes, and SmartApps, before attempting a reset. This involves deleting all automations, scenes, devices, and locations through the SmartThings app.
Rebooting Your SmartThings Wifi Hub and Modem
Rebooting can resolve minor connectivity issues without data loss. Use the SmartThings app to reboot your Wifi hub. If problems persist, also reboot your modem by unplugging it along with the SmartThings Wifi hub, waiting two minutes, and plugging them back in. Ensure the Ethernet cable connections are secure and functional.
