How to take a screenshot or screen record on your Galaxy XR

Capture a screenshot

Use the Top and Volume down buttons

Press the Top button and Volume down button simultaneously to capture a screenshot of the screen you are viewing.

 

View your screenshots

Press the Top button to open the Launcher. Using hand gesture: Hold your palm forward until the menu icon appears. Pinch your thumb and index finger together to open the Launcher. Next, point to and pinch the Gallery to view your screenshots.

Record your screen

Record your screen

Press the Top button to open the Launcher. Alternatively, use the hand gesture: hold your palm forward until the menu icon appears. Pinch your thumb and index finger together to open the Launcher. Next, point to and pinch the Quick settings icon to open the panel. Swipe to and select Screen record. Review the information, and then select your desired audio recording option. Select Start recording. To end the recording, navigate back to and open the Quick settings again, then swipe to and select Screen record to turn it off.

 

 

View screen recordings

Share content from your Gallery

Note
  • Both devices must be signed in to their Samsung account and have Quick Share enabled.
  • Ensure devices are within range for successful file transfer.

You can easily share files with other Samsung devices right from your headset.

  1. Press the Top button on your headset to open the Launcher menu. 
  2. Navigate to and open the Gallery app
  3. Select the screenshots or recording, and then select More options (the three vertical dots) from the top right corner.
  4. Select Share, and then select Quick Share from the pop-up. Your headset will begin looking for nearby devices.
  5. When the other device appears, select its name to send the file. The other device may require permission before it can receive the file. On your headset, "Sent" will appear under the other device's name when the transfer is complete.
