How to install a SIM card into the Galaxy Z TriFold

When inserting a SIM card into the Galaxy Z TriFold, inserting it in the wrong direction or forcing the tray back into the device when the card is not properly seated may cause the tray to bend or break. Refer to the instructions below to insert the SIM card correctly.

How to install a SIM card into the Galaxy Z TriFold

Insert a SIM card into the Galaxy Z TriFold

 

Follow the steps below to insert the SIM card. Before starting, make sure the Galaxy Z TriFold is fully unfolded.

 

Caution

When using a SIM card: 

  • Always use the provided ejection pin to press the tray hole when removing the tray.
  • Only use a Nano-SIM card. Using a different SIM size or a modified SIM may damage the device.
  • If the ejection pin is not inserted perpendicular to the tray hole, the device may be damaged.
  • If the tray is inserted while wet, the device may be damaged. Ensure the tray is completely dry before inserting it.
  • To prevent foreign substances from entering the device, make sure the tray is fully inserted into the tray slot.
  • If the SIM card becomes scratched or bent, the data stored on the card may be damaged.

The available features, menu paths, and screen layouts described may vary depending on the device model, software, or app version.

Unfold the device.

Fully unfold the Galaxy Z TriFold. The SIM tray is located on the left side of the device.  While the device is unfolded, insert the ejection pin into the SIM tray hole to loosen and release the tray.

Release the SIM tray.

While the device is unfolded, insert the ejection pin into the SIM tray hole to loosen and release the tray.

Remove the SIM tray.

Pull the tray out completely.

Position the SIM card.

Place the SIM card on the tray with the metal contacts facing downward, then gently press it into place.

Reinsert the SIM tray.

Insert the tray back into the tray slot.
