Pick your shooting method

Once the Camera app is open, customize your capture preferences:

  1. Tap the Quick control button (it looks like a circle with four dots), and then tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gear).
  2. Tap Shooting methods to explore options to adjust:

    • Press Volume buttons to: Choose to take pictures or record videos using the volume buttons.
      Note: Volume can't be adjusted during video recording.
    • Voice commands: Take pictures or record videos by saying a command.
    • Floating Shutter button: Add an extra shutter button on the screen.
    • Show palm: Use your palm to trigger selfies. 
  3. Tap the Back icon at the top of the menu to return to the Camera settings, and then swipe up to and tap Swipe Shutter button to, and then choose to swipe down and hold the Shutter button to Take burst shots or Create GIFs in Photo mode.
