Use Privacy display on your Galaxy S26 Ultra

The Privacy display feature on your Galaxy S26 Ultra ensures your sensitive content remains visible only to you by limiting the viewing angles. This hardware-integrated technology uses Flex Magic Pixel to control light emission, making your screen nearly unreadable from the side while maintaining clarity for you. Follow these steps to enable and customize this feature.

Additional tips

  • Update your device: Ensure your phone is updated to the latest software version for optimal performance.
  • Privacy screen protectors: Avoid using third-party privacy screen protectors, as they may reduce brightness. The Galaxy S26 Ultra's built-in Privacy display eliminates the need for additional protectors.
  • Outdoor use: In bright environments, the Privacy display may appear darker. Switch to Auto mode or turn it off if needed.
  • Color and brightness adjustments: If colors appear unnatural, adjust the White balance and Vividness in Settings > Display > Screen mode > Vivid > Advanced settings
Note: Advanced settings is not available when Adaptive color tone is turned on.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Maximum privacy protection make the screen blurry?

This mode strengthens privacy by controlling pixel operation, which may cause slight color changes or blurriness. Use standard Privacy mode if uncomfortable.

Why does Privacy display appear darker outdoors?

The feature uses pixel control to block angles, which may reduce brightness in bright environments. To address this, you can switch to auto mode in the Privacy display settings under Conditions for turning On. Or, turn off Privacy display temporarily in outdoor settings.

Why does text appear jagged with Privacy display on?

This is due to optimized rendering methods for Privacy Pixel structures and is not a screen issue.

Is the reddish tint on one side of Maximum privacy protection normal?

Yes, this is a characteristic of the mode designed to maximize privacy.
