Perform an earbud fit test with your Galaxy Buds

The earbud fit test is available in Galaxy Buds settings for compatible models. It will help you know if you have your earbuds positioned correctly in your ears, or whether or not there is a gap causing any sound leakage. If you have a compatible set of Galaxy Buds, simply put them in your ears, and follow the steps below to complete the test. It only takes a few seconds.

Perform an earbud fit test with your Galaxy Buds

Note
  • The earbud fit test is available in the Galaxy Buds settings menu for the Buds4 Pro, Buds3 Pro, Buds2 Pro, and Buds2.
  • It is not compatible with the Galaxy Buds, Buds+, Buds Live, Buds Pro, Buds3, or Buds4.

  1. Make sure your Galaxy Buds are connected to your phone, and then insert them into your ears.
  2. On your phone, open Settings, and then tap the name of your buds near the top of the settings menu.
Note: If your phone is running software older than One UI 8.0, you can instead find these settings in the Galaxy Wearable app.
  3. Tap Sound quality and effects in the earbud settings menu.
  4. Tap Earbud fit test, and then tap Start.
  5. The test only takes a few seconds, but if you'd like to stop it, you can tap Cancel.
  6. Once you've completed the test, you will see a result that says you either have a good fit or a poor fit. If you have a poor fit, adjust the bud or buds and run the test again.
  7. If you have a good fit, you're finished.
