Use multiple apps at once on your Galaxy Z Flip8

Your Galaxy Z Flip8 gives you several ways to use more than one app at a time. You can open two supported apps in Split screen view, keep an app available in a floating Pop-up view, customize how Multi Window works, or use Samsung DeX for a more desktop-like experience on a compatible display. Use multiple apps at once on your Galaxy Z Flip8

Use Split screen to work with two apps

Split screen lets you open two supported apps on the screen at the same time, making it easier to multitask on your Galaxy Z Flip8. For example, you can watch a video while replying to messages, browse the web while taking notes, or compare information between two apps without constantly switching back and forth.

  1. Tap the Recent apps button.
  2. Tap the app icon above the first app you want to use, then tap Open in split screen view.

  4. Drag the divider between the two apps to adjust how much space each app uses.

While using Split screen, tap the divider between the two apps to access additional options, such as switching the app positions or saving the current app combination as an App Pair for quicker access later.

Open an app in Pop-up view

Pop-up view lets you open a supported app in a floating window that stays on top of other apps. It's a convenient way to quickly check information, reply to a message, or use a calculator without leaving the app you're currently using. You can move the window around the screen or resize it to fit your needs.

  1. Tap the Recent apps button.
  2. Tap the app icon above the first app you want to use, then tap Open in pop-up view.
