Lights are blinking on the Samsung dishwasher

Some Samsung dishwasher models don't have a digital display, so error codes are displayed as blinking lights instead. The combination of blinking lights determines what the code is. However, since lights may blink as part of regular use, you should really only consider this an error code if the dishwasher isn't working normally, such as stopping mid-cycle. Resolving the error code typically involves a slight correction, such as adjusting the temperature of your water supply or making sure that the drain hose is installed properly.

Important

If your model displays an error code instead of flashing lights

Refer to our dishwasher error code guide.

Don't try to reset or clear the code before you troubleshoot it

Always perform the correct troubleshooting before attempting to reset the dishwasher or clear the code. Otherwise the issue causing the error will not be addressed, which may cause the error to return or impair the dishwasher.

Any other combination of lights are blinking

Blinking lights do not always indicate an error code. On some models, the current status of the cycle will cause lights to blink. Before assuming that blinking lights indicate an issue with the dishwasher, check if the dishwasher is experiencing any other issues or symptoms of any kind.

If the dishwasher displays a combination of flashing lights that is not included in this list, troubleshoot the issue the dishwasher is experiencing. You can search our support content for an article that addresses your issue directly. Otherwise, if your dishwasher is operating normally, no action is needed.
