Burner icons aren't appearing on Samsung induction range display

The burners on the Samsung smart slide-in induction range with AI Home are controlled by using the touch display rather than with knobs, so we know it's important that the icons are on the screen. When they aren't displaying, it's because of an issue with the Ring app and the Wi-Fi settings on the range. You can resolve the issue with these steps.

This article is only applicable for model number NSI6DG9900.

This issue occurs when the Ring doorbell app is signed in on the range, but the Wi-Fi is disabled. The Ring app interferes with the range going into sleep mode, which can lead to abnormal operation. To resolve the issue, follow the steps below.

1

Turn on Wi-Fi on the range.

Navigate to Settings, then tap Connections, and then tap Wi-Fi
2

Check for a software update on the range.

Navigate to Settings, then scroll down and tap Software Update. Tap Download and install if an update is available.
3

Reset the range.

Press and hold the Power button for ten seconds.
4

Disable Ring service on the range.

This step is optional, but if you would like to remove your Ring service from the range to prevent the issue from reoccurring, you can sign out from your Ring account and then reset the range. To sign out of Ring on your range, open the Ring app, and then tap the Sign out icon next to the X at the top of the tab. Tap Sign out in the following pop up. Now press and hold the Power button for ten seconds to reset the range.
