Issues installing or purchasing Samsung Galaxy themes
I cannot find any themes on my device.
I cannot make a purchase.
For security purposes, Samsung Billing is not compatible with older versions of Android. You must have Android 4.4 or higher installed on your device in order to purchase Galaxy Themes or any other service that uses Samsung Billing.
- Check for software updates.
Navigate to and open Settings, and then tap either Software update or System updates. Tap Download and install, Check for system updates, or Check for software updates, depending on your carrier. If an update is available, it should begin downloading automatically, although you may need to tap Download now on some devices.
Note: If your device cannot be upgraded, we recommend purchasing a phone running Android 4.4 or higher. - Check for app updates to the Galaxy Store.
Navigate to and open the Galaxy Store app, then tap Menu in the bottom right, and then tap Updates. Tap Update all, or tap the Update icon next to your desired app. - Check your payment method(s).
Ensure your payment method (such as a credit card, Samsung Pay, or gift card) is up to date and valid. Navigate to and open Settings, then tap your Samsung account at the top of the screen, and then tap Payments and benefits. Tap Payment methods to verify or update your payment details. If one payment method isn’t working, try using another (for instance, switching from a credit card to Samsung Pay or a gift card).
Log in to your accounts.
The download was interrupted while I was downloading themes.
If a download stops or fails, you should check your network settings and internet connection. Purchased themes can be downloaded again without incurring any extra costs.
To do this, touch and hold an empty area of your Home screen, and then tap Themes. Tap Menu (the three horizontal lines), and then tap Purchased items. From here, you can download any themes you've purchased in the past.
My theme is only partially applied.
If a theme was installed incorrectly, it will only be partially applied. Use the following steps to solve this issue:
- Apply the default theme to your device. Touch and hold an empty area of your Home screen, and then tap Themes. Tap Menu (the three horizontal lines), tap My stuff, and then tap Themes. Tap your default theme, and then tap Apply.

- Next, delete the theme that was installed incorrectly. Tap the Delete icon, then tap the theme, and then tap Delete.
- Navigate back to the theme and download it again if desired.
I cannot connect to the Galaxy Themes.
“Network unavailable” appears when using Wi-Fi.
I installed a theme I purchased before, but it does not function correctly.
Please check if there is an update available for the theme in question. Themes can only be updated if the seller has registered an updated version. Use the following steps to update your theme:
- Touch and hold an empty area of your Home screen, and then tap Themes.
- Tap Menu (the three horizontal lines), tap My stuff, and then tap Themes.

- Tap the desired theme to check if an update is available.
- Tap Update to proceed.
I cannot find the theme I purchased.
