Reset the ice maker in the fridge compartment or Side-by-Side freezer
Remove the ice bucket.
To remove the ice maker bucket, gently lift it up and pull it out slowly while holding it with both hands.
Test the ice maker.
Once the ice bucket has been removed, locate the Test button on the right-hand side of the ice maker. Press and hold Test (A) until you hear a chime.
- If you don't hear a chime, but you can see movement from the ice maker, then the ice maker was reset.
- If you don't hear a chime and there is no movement from the ice maker, unplug the fridge or turn it off at the circuit breaker for 2 minutes. Then, power it back up and try again.
Reattach ice bucket.
Now you can put the bucket back into position. It should click into place. If it does not, turn the Helix (A) 90 degrees, and then try again.
Continue troubleshooting.
Your ice maker has been reset. If it chimes one time, your ice maker has passed the test. If the ice maker chimes multiple times, visit our Support Center to request service.
