Note
- If the lights do not come on when the door is opened, and the refrigerator is not cooling, see our guide for refrigerator has no power.
- If the issue has been occurring since the last time the doors were reattached, service is not required. The issue is due to the wiring harness not being properly connected. Instructions can be found in the user manual in the section for reattaching the doors.
Completely or partially blank
- Touch the panel or open the door. If the panel lights up, this is normal. The panel goes blank when inactive.
- Verify that Sabbath mode is not turned on (applicable models only).
- Family Hub models should reset the display using the switch at the top of the inside of the upper right door. For all other refrigerators, unplug the fridge or shut off power at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds and then restore power.

A single icon is not working
- Touch the panel or open the door. If the icon lights up, this is normal. The panel goes blank when inactive. Some panels will have select icons still lit when inactive; other icons will only light when active.
- Verify that child lock is not turned on. If a particular icon won't light, it might be because the function to turn that light on is locked by child lock.
- Unplug the unit or shut off power at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds and then restore power.
