Sensor Dry

This icon indicates a Sensor Dry cycle is currently running.
Child Lock

Child Lock is turned on. All buttons other than the Power button and the control knob are locked.
Delay Start

Delay Start is in use. A cycle is scheduled to start at a specified time.
Filter Reminder

This icon displays after every load as a reminder to clean the lint filter. It will appear whether your filter is already clean or not. On some models it may blink in an extra effort to get your attention and remind you.
Time Remaining

The hourglass icon indicates that the dryer is using a timed cycle. The number currently displayed is the time remaining in the cycle.
Signal Off

The signal sounds (that occur at the end of a cycle) are turned off.
Mixed Load Bell

The Mixed Load Bell option is turned on.
The Mixed Load Bell will signal when the cycle is 80 percent dry. This lets you know when to pause the cycle and remove lighter, drier fabrics, so the heavier fabrics can finish drying before the cycle ends.
If you don't pause the cycle, it will continue normally. Heavier fabrics may not be dry when the cycle ends.
Vent Check

This icon indicates the exhaust vent is in need of cleaning.
After or during a cycle, it will light up if the exhaust vent is about 60% clogged.
If the exhaust vent is 80% clogged, the icon will blink for three hours after a cycle is completed.
Steam

The Steam option is turned on. Water will be sprayed during the cycle to achieve a steam effect while heating the laundry.
Smart Care

This icon indicates Smart Care is turned on. Smart Care uses the camera on a phone to recognize error codes on the dryer and interpret them. For more information, see our guide on Smart Care.
Smart Control

This icon indicates the dryer is ready to be controlled remotely using a mobile device. Use SmartThings to control the dryer.
Wi-Fi

This icon indicates the dryer is connected to a wireless network. If the Smart Control icon is not lit, then you can still monitor the dryer using SmartThings, but won't be able to control it until pressing the Smart Control button on the dryer.
Cycle Progress

These icons light up or blink to indicate the current status in the cycle. Different models have different patterns, but on most models, these lights will stay lit the entire time a cycle is running, and the current status will blink.

Laundry is tangled or wrinkled after washing
Tangled or wrinkled laundry is not attractive. Although it helps to fold your clothes or hang them, some wrinkles (and tangling) can be reduced or prevented with a few minor adjustments in how you do the wash.

Samsung dryer smokes or smells
Dryer odors can come from a few places such as the lint trap, exhaust vent, or not actually from the dryer at all, like the washing machine or the water. If the dryer's new, that might be the reason as well. When a new dryer starts up for the first time, it may smell like something is burning, as any oil residue from the packing material heats up.

Samsung dryer turns on but doesn’t start or spin
Unfortunately, if your dryer isn't spinning, it usually means that service is required. There's one quick test to perform to make sure that the cycle is being started correctly. And of course make sure it's not something as simple as Child Lock.
